Re: the paying for dates issue, did the man spend as much as I did on clothes, shoes, makeup (especially makeup because makeup expires and is not a long term "investment") in order to look good on this date and future dates? Is he infinitely higher paid than I am? Did he pick the place we're eating? If the first question is a no and the second and third are a yes, then men in the comments can do the math about who should pay on their own, and reach the same conclusion I did, hopefully.
