    Fantastic, absolutely fantastic! The fact that this is being done in my own backyard makes me proud.

    Morning.
    Hello from an Irishman living in England. It's a brisk -3 degrees C here this morning. Ideal weather to go stand in a forest in Cumbria marshalling on the Grizedale Stages Rally, which is on today & tomorrow.
    I found your channel through your RV/Motorhome build. I'll have to go back and watch this D type build from the start. You are a very talented guy. I can twirl spanners and am happy working on mechanicals. I rebuilt a rally car along with a couple of mates and I designed & fabricated the fueling and cooling installations, but hand beating an aluminium D type replica is beyond me.
    Hope you continue to make good progress on the D type. - From where I am you can't see the gold flake in the paint. 😉

    Well done Donnie, so glad you didn't take the easy route with a plastic bottle...this looks great!

    Good Afternoon Countryman! Enjoyed watching you fashion that expansion tank and I am quite sure you know what was going on in the back of my mind.
    Those handheld laser welding machines...
    Yip just prohibitively expensive to us mere mortals....
    Can't wait to see the D-Type being taken for a shakedown run!
    Till we meet again.... around the track! 😅

    Another piece to the puzzle complete. Top class work as ever Danie. Love the drum stick pointing device 😎 Also thanks for the radiator pressure test tutorial, that's gonna come in realll handy for me later in the summer. As always a joy to watch you work man, looking forward to the next video 👍🏽 cheers

    I could watch you fabricating components all day Danie. Great work as always. So sad the d type is nearly finished. It has been super content. With your aluminum rolling skills I think you could reproduce any car. Have you ever wanted to make a ferrari 250 gto? That commission would be so awesome! ❤❤

    We have an old SUV that loses coolant veeeeeerry slowly and I think I can use your pressure testing trick; thanks!

    You should apply Cerakote to the exhaust headers inside and outside to reduce engine bay temperature, increase exhaust gas flow and for rustproofing.

    Very nice work on the tank and glad to see the car getting closer to running condition. Are you sure you have enough radiator for the engine? Comparing the pictures of the original D type and your car, it appears your radiator is about half the height and thickness of the original. Not sure if I might have missed that your current radiator set up is temporary, but as someone who runs a highly modified engine in a British sports car in a warm climate, my recommendation is to put in as much radiator as you can.

      @BroughBuilt  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! I am bit concerned that the radiator might be too small (especially if driven hard) but I couldn't find anything off shelf to fit. It will be easy to replace with a custom rad in future thou.

      The challenge in building a custom radiator is usually in fabricating the header tanks. After watching all your episodes, I believe this is well within your capabilities. The core section can be purchased from a radiator shop and they should be able to supply whatever size core you want. This would be a great touch to match the original D type radiator. 👍

    Hello Danie, it's always a pleasure to see you working on this project, regarding the chassis, didn't you want to redo it or take it in your own way?

    • @BroughBuilt
      @BroughBuilt  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! If I did it again I would love to make the chassis from scratch.

    I noticed that you were using a drum stick as a pointer. Do you also play the drums?

    • @BroughBuilt
      @BroughBuilt  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      tried, failed 😅

  • @waynoswaynos
    @waynoswaynos 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    There's only one reason a guy will use a drum stick for pointing at things in his video.... and that would be because he is also a drummer!!!!!!!

    • @BroughBuilt
      @BroughBuilt  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There's another option. He tried, he failed, he made his instrument into a pointer🤦🏼‍♂️
