Do you remember if the back glass of the front element is curved the same direction as the front glass (convex forward and concave at the back)? There are two glasses, you just didn't put them apart as I did. My lens now after reassembly focuses right only in the middle, I must have flipped a glass somewhere I guess.
@@FALENSJapan Thank you for this. Now I have checked that glass both ways and still focuses only well in the middle. Looks like I flipped one of the small glasses at the very back of the lens?
@@FALENSJapan I heard isopropanol is better as it leaves less sediment behind. I accidentally discovered Uvex Cleaning Solution for protective glasses, cleans better than pure alcohol.

what is the cleaning solution you used?
99% ethanol

@@andyboa8107 99% ethanol (denatured alcohol) will not affect plastic parts that may be present.
