Yeah, it would be a malfunction for Sun to harm a kid for sure. Like I don't think Fazbear Entertainment would mean for Sun to have his temper and/or tolerance drain to the point that Sun felt it was needed to harm any kids. That would just get them in more lawsuits! So they probably shouldn't have had Sun programmed with a drain on his tolerance at all. Unless it's not his programming at all and instead that it's his sentience that had created partly Eclipse. Cause they are self aware and can think for themselves now, so that means they can adapt to new behaviors I think. I'm just guessing, I don't know any about sentience in robots. I agree with you that thought Sun brought up was most likely to been Eclipse's rather than Sun's. Maybe Eclipse didn't poke out in this episode because Sun had voiced a desire from Eclipse and that pleased Eclipse that Sun would say such a horrible thing knowing that in reality it would lead to the baby's death; unless being possessed by a demon or being a demon himself will prevent him from dying like a mortal. I hope the boys get better at dealing with Eclipse until they defeat him!
