Hey! I am going to Bocconi this upcoming semester and was wondering where you travelled and how important accomodation is (I'm trying to weigh up price/location/modern). I saw in the video you said it was important to live near a metro station. I had a look at living near the Duomo but it is quite expensive. Also any other general tips? Thank you!! Also by any change do you have a list of places to go to/avoid too or recommendations etc?

What sites to use to find nice apartments?

I used Spotahome personally, but they do have an expensive platform and others fees to pay

How was your experience with spot a home since I’ve seen a lot about people saying their experience was bad or got scammed by landlords or spotahome?

I personally used it and think this is a relatively safe/efficient option amongst all the other platforms, which either are for long-term rent or has low response rate. Spotahome does charge a lot of platform fees and landlords may try to take advantage of you. The platform fee is unavoidable unless you try facebook groups (if you have a friend in the area could ask them to check it out, or ask the landlord to do a video call so you know such place exists).
If the landlord wants to overcharge, be sure to know your contract inside out, whether bills are included etc, damages. take a video of your apartment to show that damages are already there when you move in etc... take all precaution.

Hey Sofia, I loved this video. By the way would you recommend staying in on campus in their dorms/residence or is renting your own place on spot a home better?

If it’s possible definitely get the dorms, you’ll meet more people that way. They have many activities too. The environment and utilities is also much better for the price, around 500-800. But registration starts really early and is very competitive 😂
