- Anita’s story is unfolding quickly! From an abolo seller chasing customers in a moving car at Sogakope to make a few coins, to world leader educated to make a change. But the journey is not yet easy. She has hit a folk in the road. Her dilemma? Choosing between her childhood dream of becoming a midwife or taking up a fully funded scholarship at Ashesi.
She is likely to land a US$10,000.00 scholarship should she take up the offer and change her career plans to something engineering or liberal arts. What would you do if you were Anita? Watch this part in a series we call Lifting People Up.

This is awesome . God bless you Caleb and Ashesi. I understand her fears. She wants/wanted to do midwifery because its a safe bet for her. She feels she will quickly find employment after completion and thus get her family out of hardship. The desire is tied to her current circumstances but i believe she will do well and have greater impact if she shelves her fears and goes for a course at Ashesi. Many doors will open for her . Hopefully she chooses Ashesi.

Nothing is supposed to happen before it time. The universe will give you want you need when you are supposed to have it not when you want it. It’s her destiny and God has used you Caleb to fulfill that.
Anita's dream to be a Midwife is link to her present situation and that of her household.
She needed to get challenge to overcome her fears.That will give her a new perspectives to discover her full potential and her ability to achieve greater than her current limited perspective driven by her immediate environment and the needs of the family.

It's one thing to see and acknowledge the driving force and another to come to terms with the fact that it's possible to dream new dreams/do other things because there are no limitations.
I see how it can be a tough call inspite of the presence of new information and I hope she gets all the help she needs with decision-making.
Whichever one she makes, I believe strongly she'll be alright. She pretty much has you and all of these allies you've brought her way.

She applied to both. When admissions come out, she’d look at her options and make an independent decision.
