    Dude if it’s out of warranty you could take that to a dry cleaners with a seamstress and they can stitch that for $20. If the unit is otherwise serviceable.
    Good info.

      I'm thinking about that. I can hand stitch it myself but they could do a much cleaner job. Still love the vest though

    I had all 3 of these vest in my cart with no idea which one would be best for me. After watching this video I ordered the Capella thanks for making this comparison video!

    Thanks for the comparison. I ride my Lift eFoil in waves and catch tanker waves and need a good impact vest that CGA. You helped me make my decision on going with the Ronix vest.

    Thank you for posting this! I have the Capella as well, but need a new vest this year and have been looking at the Watson and Murray. The other one I'm interested in is the side entry Bonifay by Jet Pilot.

      Haven't tried on the Bonifay but the rest are solid. With my long torso I think the Capella is best, but everyone's body is different.

    I'm between the hyperlight logic and the murray. Great comparisons!

      I haven’t tried on the Logic but I think their Caliber model is basically the same as the LF Watson. I’m sure either option would be great!

    I think I like the Ronix best, I love longer vests. But I have problems to find a dealer in Germany. Most in Germany have Ronix boards and bindings only.

      Yeah they are my favorite CGA vests. Pretty common in the US. I’m not sure who but I imagine some US shops might ship to Germany. Maybe Evo or Buywake?

    Does any life jacket manufacturer make a life jacket specifically for rib shots/impacts? Had a rather rough one recently and I'm not sure if it was the water or my own arm that caused the rib strike but it'll take a few weeks to recover. There was rib padding on my vest so I didn't quite expect it. Long story short as an engineer it surprised me that there is nothing immediately obvious on the market with harder foam or overlapping shells on the outside (to distribute point loads) and soft foam on the inside to disperse the load. This is typically the technique used when designing body armor and I'm wondering if anyone has designed something similar for wakeboards. Given the high impact nature of the sport little details like that could keep not-so-young-bucks like myself out on the water more often.

      Good question. Although a lot of non cga vest are labeled “impact vests” I haven’t seen any with hard panels or a self hardening foam like D3O. I wonder if anyone wears Demon layers under a vest or something like that. I’ve taco’d a feature before, getting the wind knocked out and agree that something extra could be useful. Could be a good future product!

      @@LifetimeShred haha maybe it's time to form the dream team and design one, every injury is weeks of equipment sitting idle so if it can be done for $20-30 more if have to imagine it'd pay off real quick in ride time and being able to push limits more often.

      @@thejfactors yeah I could see with some of these more Expensivest there’s no reason it could include something like that. Or maybe it could be a standalone piece of body armor you wear underneath the vest?

    Id really like one with brighter colors so other boaters can see my boys down. Anything remotely possible of being slightly more safe. No. All the big names are black 🙄

    • @LifetimeShred
      @LifetimeShred  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I agree too much black. I do have an older capella vest that is grey but that doesn't help a ton. If you can find the Ronix Megacorp capella vest the front is bright at least.
