Greetings from a HOT Torrance! I was in Long Beach today and it was so hot it actually hurt. Whew! I loved your comment about the old machines. This is why we love the Cal. Nothing but the old machines including the coin drop ones. The old machines have a different feel and seem to pay out more often. My dealt Royal was on an old machine. Pechanga used to have the older machines and we still miss them. Thanks again and try to stay cool out there!

Is this the newer cabinets that look like slot machines? Rolled out this year? Silver. The contrast is usually cranked up high and tire my eyes. Button consoles feels cheap. Or is it the black ones with blue lighted accents that kinda resemble a desk? Love those, comfortable to play for hours.

John's World of Video Poker once told me the old machines are better because it would take an Act of Congress to change the programs. Maybe that's why they are being replaced. In Dec 2022, when Jeff and his friend got their Royals at the Red Rock within an hour of each other, they were playing the new machines. So there is hope for the new machines. But I like the old ones, too.
