I can't overstate what a pleasure it is to have a long-tenured coach like Witt, who is such a complete class act; unfailingly polite, gentlemanly, good-natured. He's honest about shortcomings on the field, but somehow manages to never utter a bad word about a fellow human being.
Precisely Brian! Hope he sticks it out another year or two after this one! With the announcement of Scalley as the HC-in-waiting, I don't see Kyle coaching past 2025 but, we will see!
I wouldn’t want to be Arizona this week, RES, RES at night, crappy defense, poor O-line, ran up the score on Utah last year, Utah looking good right now. RIP Arizona!
Goals for this week: get 3+ sacks on Fafita, and make sure we shut down the run game. Last season we gave up too many rushing yards and didn’t get enough of our own.
Gundy isn't that bad. Most all head coaches look flawed when cross-compared to Kyle. He might make some snide or contemptuous remarks after a loss on occasion but, Kyle has always handled himself with class and patience with the press going back to his days as a position coach with Ron McBride!
@@edkiely2712 I think Whitt is much more generous with his opponents, more accountable and more approachable. Gundy gives off the "I'm the expert and your nothing" vibe; talks only about what OSU did or did not do without reference to what the opponent forced them into, and seems to imply that somehow his team just failed to use the proper strategy to attack Utah's "obvious" defensive plan. Isn't his role as the head coach to direct that strategy not just be an onlooker? If Utah's defensive plan was so simple and obvious, why didn't OSU scheme to counteract it in multiple ways? I get that there are coaches who assume more of a CEO role and delegate specifics to coordinators, but if you're going to delegate, you've got to take what coordinators come up with, not turn around and imply to the public and the press that the game plan "they" came up with was flawed and, as the head coach, you never really bought into it.
Cam getting injured infuriated me; like he didn't learn anything about protecting himself and his value to the team. He should have immediately thrown the ball away as he was running towards the sideline, not let the defenders close-in on him and, wait until the last second to get rid of the ball. Now, the team is back where they were(though not as serious)last year playing this waiting game. I sure hope Cam had his hide chewed-out for doing that. Being competitive is understandable but, you hv to be smart, ESPECIALLY AFTER A SERIOUS KNEE INJURY! If Cam goes down once again after he comes back- which will definitely be this week or, after the bye- Kyle simply needs to move on. It's too distracting and creates an unknown instability with the other players and the program.
Seems to me Wilson has a tendency to throw high, sometime even floating. The first pass to Kuithe caused him to way over reach causing a painful and unnecessary fall for Brant.A good QB takes care of his receivers. He left a lot of open receiver opportunities on the field too.
The nice thing is that playing that kind of game is going to be immensely valuable experience for Wilson as he develops. A lot of true freshman QBs just don't get that. By year two or three, I can see him being a stud
Issac still has a lot of work to do on technique, and he will. His footwork and overall mechanics still need a lot of work but, this experience he is getting is invaluable, especially starting on the road. If Cam keeps making foolish decisions, like he did in allowing defenders to close in on him, not throwing the ball away, and get shoved into the coolers and table, Issac will definitely get more opportunities this year. Cam has got to understand his importance to the team, not try and do too much, and live another down or series. It's almost like his serious knee injury didn't teach him anything coming into this year. If he goes down again, Kyle needs to completely move on from him!
@University of Utah Athletics. I was wondering during the press conferences if they could answer a question from online? My question is, whats going on with Jaylon Glover? Love you guys and GO UTES!

5-18 on 3rd down. Most of those were short yardage. We need to be better on offense if we want to win the conference and punch a ticket to the CFB playoff
BYU. Crazy thing is he got the head coach offer from Utah and BYU at the same time and chose Utah which is interesting since most people favor their Alma matter
@@baylorgreen4942 I just read that he was already coaching at Utah when he received the offer and he said he felt obligated to stay. I didn’t know about that. Thanks
Man, I didn’t know Utah fans was that cocky your team is good but not great. Don’t put the carriage before the horse because anybody can get beat on Saturday.
Do you watch football? Utah state was Isaac Wilson’s first start in his college career. Utah state’s qb Bryson Barnes knows Utahs offensive and defensive schemes after playing as Utah’s starting qb last season and backup for multiple seasons. He came out wanting to prove something. Utah did come out slow mostly because they didn’t put much on that game. They were all focused on the next week. Whitt even mentioned they switched up the defense trying to throw Bryson off, but it wasn’t what the defensive scheme normally is, the players weren’t comfortable with it, and it didn’t work. They went back to their normal defense and shut them down basically the rest of the game. Isaac Wilson as a true freshman was still getting settled in to the offense, getting experience and confidence. They still walked away with a 17 point 38-21 win in Logan with the true freshman qb who then went on to Stillwater Oklahoma against the #14 in the country and got another win in his second career start. What’s not to like? And they were missing a few significant starters like Cam Rising, Kerene Reid, and Connor oToole that all should be back soon. And they play byu at home. lol

So much better than Gundy with press and PR
Kyle is honest about what we see on the field. Gundy is just full of shit tbh.

I hope we run up the score and embarrass Arizona. Coach Whitt, don’t take your foot off the throttle in this one, let this one leave a mark on Arizona
Whitt doesn’t really do that as much as we all want him to. And Arizona’s head coach that did that to Utah last year, Jedd Fisch, is no longer there.
