@@nyshyn307 Wow, that’s a big decision! It must have taken a lot of time and effort to comb them out. Do you miss them, or are you enjoying the change?
@JoelTemon enjoying it because I think the new look suits me about equally as well. In general I miss having them since I'm so used to it, but I'm only upset that I'll never know what they would fully mature into
@@nyshyn307 It sounds like you're embracing the change, which is great! It's understandable to miss your dreads since you've had them for a while, but it's awesome that you feel the new look suits you too.
Day 1: The extensions are gone. Locs with my own hair are here. I'm going semi-freeform. I feel nervous. I hope to feel liberated. Only time will tell...
@@SkyeID wonderful ! dont worry about losing the freeform title and separate as much as u want because at the end of the day u need to b able to touch your scalp
There would be lots of freeformers there yes (due to Rasta = due to Sadhu Hindus. I think some Jamaicans still even have Indian surnames and sort of look like them. So not because freeform = NATURAL locs exclusively belong to Rasta).
Nope! It’s plenty of people still rocking freeform a and still living a successful life. Not everybody wants to be a pretty boy with their dreadlocks! The original people with locks were warriors, and shamans type people, not pretty boys.
I'm three years into my freeform loc journey. Thank you for the motivation.
@@HighestWavelength 3 years is a fantastic achievement! I'm so proud of you for your dedication and commitment to your journey.
Had to comb mine out but they would've been 3 next month 🤧💔

@@idiedavillain that's good advice. I wanna be able to cleanse my scalp as effectively, and a little separation would make it easier to do so.

Just grow your hair and keep it moisturized/ washed
@@nathanmiller3447 but with what products I have tried things an have gotten no results
You'll need residue free shampoo, cold water, and patience. Nothing else.
