The more I watch this the more it looks like I made Chara evil- This video just covers that small amount of time inbetween when you press the fight button to kill sans, he dodges, and then Chara finishes him off for you at the very end. I wanted to interperet it as Frisk/Player hesitating to kill him, and Chara stepping in to finish the job because actions have concequences and Frisk was going to face them one way or another.
Don’t burden yourself. I think it’s clear there’s three people. The Player, Frisk, and Chara. Frisk is basically non existent. Chara at this point got the purpose of their reincarnation, which was eradicating the enemy to become strong. This animation makes sense, Chara is fulfilling the Players original wishes which brought Chara to life in the first place. Frisk was a naturally good person as shown in the pacifist route. Even without action, Frisk themselves rubs Asriel’s back to comfort him and Sans describes they ran away with a smile. With Asriel describing them as good.
DAMN! Well, this is a throwback, damn good animation, I personally think the original line about happiness can stay to have Chara taunt them about either a past Pacifist run or subsequent Soulless Pacifist one
I absolutely love this animation! The lyrics match up with the situation all too well! >:] Also with the entire subject of the Player being the influence and not Chara thing: This video depicts what happens in the game really well! We can interpret that Chara isn't talking to frisk in this, but the player! In the game chara literally has influence on the player's decisions all throughout the end of the game, and this animation shows that perfectly! You’re right, but it’s because of that Chara guides the player in getting the job done. In many other sources outside the genocide route, from what little we know of Chara we do know that they were the type of person to do everything with really really great efficiency, even in simple crap like filling a glass of water or eating. They represent our desire to reach the end goal in genocide, hence why they want to get things done. Them killing sans was them getting the job done straight & efficiently.
