Umm. Well scribes made mistakes, so have translators. In addition entire books are omitted, such as Enoch. Both Jesus and Jude quoted directly from it. This is just one example.
Amen. To this. I have been a Christian for 50 years & in my Adult Life I have done my Fastings a.lot & with fervent & deep.Prayers. I have seen many miracles & great things.. And seen God move greatly.
Praying and fasting as Jesus did, must increase our spirit and decrease our flesh, helping us if we use this time, of drawing nearer to God as Jesus did. Must be pretty important if Jesus did it before he did the most important thing he came to do for us, that we couldn’t do on our own without him. Praise Our Heavenly Father in Heaven and Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, the Son of God. Who Was and Is and Is to Come! Come Lord Jesus Come, until then help us, deliver us from evil and renew a steadfast spirit in us.
@@tammyallen8205 yes,Tammy right you are. This network is a thinly veiled attempt at subversion by a certain worldwide organization. This pernicious attempt to impugn the TRUTH of the Word of GOD, is headed by the same adversary who directed the killing William Tyndale in 1536 for translating the The Bible into the language of the common man. The efforts of this Romanist religion are done in obedience to & in support of the same "entity" who tempted Eve to doubt the Word of GOD by saying: "Yea, hath GOD said.......garden" (see Genesis 3:1). After many decades of diligent study and research, this writer "unsubscribed" from this religion whose practice it is to pretend to love GOD, but under the direction of the adversary, insidiously (& one tiny step at a time) leads poor souls to accept traditions of men, over the Word of GOD, [(See Matt. 15:1-20 & Mark 7:1-23) Is their attack on Mark 7:16 coincidental?] then to accept doctrines of demons. (see 1 Tim. 4:1-5 & 2 Tim.4:1-5). I have had to un-subscribe from this creator of misleading content. It is RAT POISON! [ 98% good oats & 2% deadly poison] It is designed to destroy souls. GOD has always been able to watch over HIS Word and HIS people. Jeremiah 1:12 Be strengthened and encouraged. Trust in HIS Word. (The one Tyndale translated is trustworthy.) When asked why his disciples could not cast out this demon, Jesus said, "This one comes out by fasting and prayer". Fasting was to important to leave out. Some Bibles leave out fasting & others leave out the entire verse. The King James version has the entire verse.
They spent decades discouraging people from fasting and then it turns out it’s a great way to keep your weight under control. All they care about is making money and keeping people sick, physically and spiritually. Dump the doctor and trust in Jesus.
Why fasting? I'm not a Christian and I get a little angry when I hear Christian friends say they are fasting and praying. Why not just praying? Surely God will answer prayer or He won't. You have to pay with hunger?
@@lloydwaycott8178 the whole point is to bankrupt you so that you can receive as a free gift. the law was given so that you can appreciate the magnitude of the gift when you can't do it. the law is just a diagnostic tool: it shows you what is broken so that you can get a promise from god to fix it. there is a promise from god to deal with literally every problem you could ever have. have you ever heard of Andrew Wommack? he will teach you how to access the miraculous power of god for yourself. all his stuff is free and it's some of the best bible teaching on the planet.
From all the teaching I've heard and studying the scripture, Jesus is telling his Disciples that the unbelief they exhibited that prevented them from casting out the demon in the epileptic boy only came out by prayer and fasting. Remember they had previously gone in pairs healing, preaching and casting out demons. They had no trouble casting out demons then. I promise you, no demon can withstand the name above all names. The Holy name of Jesus!!
”So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”” Matthew 17:20-21 Notice He said however, this kind dose not go out except pray and fasting. Jesus Christ gave us this as a weapon against filthy demons.
@@Gabriel-151-85exactly. There’s a clear distinction. Jesus specially wants us to know that “this kind” of powerful demon doesn’t get cast out except by prayer and fasting.
I will continue using it in there. Fasting and praying shows GOD just how serious we are by being willing to fast, as an offering, and praying for our need. We still need to fast and pray.
Modern perceptions of the meaning of many important words have changed quite even now in comparison to just two centuries ago with Webster’s original 1828 dictionary, which he compiled for the sole purpose of teaching common people to understand the meaning of words in the scriptures after the development of the printing press and the subsequent availability of the Holy Scriptures to all versus the very few before it’s development. Just one example is the definition of the word authority. Today’s understanding of the word authority has more to do with the submission to power over the people versus the people recognizing for themselves the authority that they themselves recognized that naturally, or divinely, exists in others. Our adversaries can most definitely not change the meaning of God’s Word but, over time, they have become successful in changing people’s perceptions of words that are in God’s Word. Study deeply for yourselves and do not rely upon the learning by rote or, simply learning from others. God’s Word is definitely much more powerful, and meant to be, than most of the mainstream churches would have us believe.
That’s really interesting because it was first altered over a thousand years ago and has been continued to be altered… Copied and translated, and deliberately altered by various sects of Christianity. Not only that but the interpretation of various texts and verses has changed over the years…
I agree with you brother in faith. Man will Never Understand what our Creator wanted for us. Our Creator, the Living God, is the only one Who Knows what is best for us. He have already provided it in the Bible, "Fasting and Prayer". All of us Must be doing this.

This verse is of utmost importance. Recounting a personal experience: when my late mom passed I spiraled into “complicated grief” which means I couldn’t stop weeping. I got the church deacon to pray over me. I kept on praying Isa 61:3 over myself. However even under the care of the Dr I couldn’t stop weeping for 15 months. Then one day I was led by the Holy Spirit to go on a fast. I started the fast right away as I felt a stirring in my spirit. It was then some two weeks before resurrection day. In day 4 of my fasting, and prayer I suddenly felt the “spirit of heaviness” leaving my body via my shoulders. The spirit left my body and it spiralled upwards from my shoulders. I knew then I was healed of my complicated grief. I stopped weeping from that day onwards. I continued to fast till resurrection day. A total of some 14 days. PTL. Thank You Abba Son and Holy Ghost. In Yeshua’s nam, Amen.
Mark 13:8: "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains."
There are 88books of the bible the Catholic church took out 20 books and left us with 66 and even thereafter took out scriptures from the 66 books, in saying this I would like to say, give us back the original bible so that we can have gods words and not what man chooses for us to know
NIV is definitely Satanic. Completely warps God’s word to make it palatable for weird normies who are just into therapeutic deism rather than actual God.
Dude niv stands for new international version. Because it's a modern translation of the King James Bible's old English translation. Also yes the niv's translation does leave important context out.
@ It doesn’t just “leave out context,” it fundamentally distorts the meaning of highly important verses. NIV should be considered just about as biblical as a Quran is lmao
Not to mention harpercollins the printing company that exclusively prints the NIV also exclusively prints the satanic Bible by Anton LaVey right next to it.
This is what I know to be true...What makes it so hard to fast intentionally is that we're constantly bombarded with ads telling us to eat "their" food product. We don't allow ourselves to feel hungry because we've been trained that way. Pray about that and then give it legs. Don't eat less, simply push your calories into a larger meal later. The practice is called intermittent fasting. Pray without ceasing is often misunderstood. It's not saying to pray more, it's saying continue in your prayers. Don't let anyone guilt you because "you don't pray enough." Study the prayers of the Apostle Paul. You'll have an endless supply of things to pray about. 🙂
Me too I was saved a year ago Christmas time so last year I read the Bible. This year I intend to make a discipline out of fasting the whole day Sunday and the last week end of each month. As well as setting my alarm for 3 time's a day to get on my knees in prayer. I'm going to have a year calendar on the fridge with fasting day's clearly marked. Wishing you luck too.🙏🩵✨

Why was it decided after 1611 to remove The Apocryphal books? It was a part of The Bible up until then. Why was it suddenly NOT part of The Word? Doesn’t it say not to add or take away…regardless of what we think is important or not? (Edit to say 1611 not 1846…I was half asleep and made a mistake, but my question stands.)
You need to be careful about the apocrypha book, because those books don't have confirmation about divine origin. This is the reason why those books are separate. If you read it carefully, you can notice that some books are not in the line of the scriptures at all.
It also says however takes away from the Bible will have their name taken out of the Book of Life and whoever adds to it will have the plagues written of in the Bible added unto them!
Matthew 17:20: "He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
I disagree completely. I was in a marriage going south. My wife walked out on me and my multiple disabled son. I still loved her. I prayed, putting my faith that God would mend the marriage and we'd be together again. I prayed for her and my son to be healthy and safe. Didn't happen. My wife died all alone in an apartment from a ruptured stomach aneurysm and five months later I lost my son due to a fatal accident. I can never truly believe the Bible anymore. I had the faith that Jesus preached about, but I guess God doesn't honor faith anymore.
Amos 8:11 God warned us to write his word in our hearts for a reason! Anybody remember the verse in Isaiah 11:5-6 "The lion will lay down with the lamb"? It now says the "wolf"!
I think stuff like this was practice for what theyre doing today with information.. I remember hearing this ages ago and some book store owner had a store called something to that effect (lion/wolf or lion/lamb) in New York i think and people were always calling them with the same question. I just started reading the Word seriously ten years ago but I grew up in church and lion lamb feels right.. wolf is used to refer to the devil a lot so it feels off but who knows.. I read consistently now though because I know a time of amos is coming where we will search for the Word and not be able to find it
It has always been a wolf. The lion and lamb is a misquote that started in the 50's as part of a twisting of the word that preceded the flood of new bible translations, that further changed our understanding of the word. Movies and culture were further nudged by misquotes of scripture away from the truth. Church pastors, corrupted by the culture shift, also perpetuated the confusion out of lack of true scholarship. The whole so called "Mandela Effect" is part of the lie and corruption of what is truth, in order to sow confusion, discord and doubt in the minds of men. All of which are the work of the devil. Jesus Christ is The Truth, The Way and The Life. He shall set you free.
@LisaRockscryout-c1i Yes. Because it's being corrupted supernaturally by Satan. There are a lot of old TV shows that reference it. There is also a great TH-cam channel called Truth Shock TV that has made a lot of videos abput the scriptures that have changed. You are correct about the wolf representing Satan.
FACT CHECK: I have 'The Complete Jewish Bible' (both OT & NT) and 'The Didache (Catholic) Bible', and Matthew 17:21 is indeed missing from both of them. The verses run smoothly from 20 to 22 without pause. However, I also have an older King James Bible, and that verse, Matthew 17:21, is there. The presenter of this site is correct.
Mark 11:23: "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
Missing or not missing fasting and prayer is the most powerful weapon a believer has in his arsenal.... beings you closer to the father the spirit and Christ...with the combination of living in a holy life of course
Origen of Alexandria in the second century was a textual critic and manuscript copyist allegedly responsible for omitting verses that he considered were irrelevant. The Textus Receptus miraculously escaped his attention.
To the Hitman, a king of England had the swan added to list of unclean animals because, that year there weren't very many. And they selfishly wanted the swan for themselves.
No the king James has many changes done through Cern using the so called MANDELA EFFECT. They were able to effect every bible up until the year 1600 if i'm not mistaken. Wherever we went, his Bible was the first item to be in our car..we never left home without it. Pages are yellow and very brittle, but I read it, daily. I'm posting the whole bible on Facebook started 13 November 2019 started with the book of Revelation, and I'm almost done with the book of Isaiah..from back to front..God bless, have a wonderful day/evening...🙏🌟🙏
It's not missing. What actually happened is some of the older manuscripts of the biblical text of the Bible that were found later than say the Geneva Bible or KJV were translated did not have those verses in them. So when you look at translations like the NIV, which was translated from older versions of the biblical text that were found more recently, it's not there, but a footnote tells you that some manuscripts do not have it. So one could argue that it possibly could have been added later.
@downbythesea1071 I think what really matters is how much do you trust that the Lord is still in control no matter what and by that having faith in the word that you were given. 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 9 through 12 sums it up very well. For those who are perishing, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. Is that good enough for you troll?
@margaretha907 Grow up for what? I merely stated some factual information on why these verses are in this Bible, but not in another Bible. And the proof is out there, if you look at it yourself, you can see that I'm not full of beans. I'm not here to play that childish, my Bible is better than yours game like so many of you people like to play. I just stated facts, and it's really just that simple. Don't get upset with me for speaking the truth. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have said it because I most certainly have better things to do with my life than just spreading a bunch of lies for no good reason
1 John 5:7 is a huge one…the KJB says clearly the nature and witness of “the godhead” and the unity of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost…the modern “bibles” create a false verse 7 using part of 6 and part of 8…deceptive…the ancient witnesses of earlier Scriptures and in many languages support the reading in the KJB.
My thought has always been, if it's missing from some, how do we know that they were correct? We don't have any of the original manuscripts. I'd rather they leave the verses in make a footnote that it's not in all manuscripts.
I attempted to write in the margins of an NIV bible ,the missing scriptures (from the received text); many years ago....I gave up around 80 or so....just incredible. Very important verses like: 1John 5:7&8 are also absent (these verses appear in many lecturnes of pastors pryer to 100AD Ex.: Polykarp.) ,or printed with the strange footnote as well...I believe this is more of a challenge for "non-believers" the it is for discerning Christian though. imo. Btw "Polykarp" knew John, personally...yes that John "The Beloved".

@ShadowTimes-YT Beware people in the world will give you verse in the Bible and even they may not have understanding, and only those that have the spirit of God understand the word of God.
This is why i stick with the King James Bible. There are many, many more verses left out of "modern" Bible's. There is a specific promise for those who take away from, or add to, the Word of God
The siniaticus and vaticanus manuscripts are allegedly the oldest, however there is evidence to suggest that they are not. TheNIV ans ESV are both based on these manuscripts. You mentioned that the KJV is based on a few manuscripts, however, I believe there are now over 5,000 manuscripts that validate the KJV.
You are correct. Also the 2 manuscripts you mentioned above were most likely the heresy writings that Paul was so admittedly against. Please do your research on who found these manuscripts where they were found. Does it sound like God to take away from his perfect word that had been pasted down from every generation from Jesus till now? Be super careful older doesn't mean more authentic. The enemy will try to deceive and confuse the elect.
Whenever you have people telling that certain passages of Scripture are missing from the text, stay far away from. This is just the beginning of the real deception coming in these last days. Believers are to believe what's written in the Scriptures and to hold fast til the end.
Absolute nonsense. The new translations dilute the Bible and the deity of Jesus Christ. I started reading KJV then went to ESV and come back again to KJV. KJV is the only complete Bible nothing taken away from the power of the word of God and nothing added to it and the only inspired translation by the Holy Ghost the rest are inspired by man's ego, a scholar wow, or by an untrue spirit. Stick to KJV and you'll soon realise what I mean.
King James was a monster who only translated it because he had education and wealth I sometimes wonder how much was twisted to justify his sleeping with little boys and killing his mother
My issue with kjv compared to nkjv is that kjv references easter which is based on the goddess eostre, where nkjv uses the word passover which is what Jesus observed.
It depends on what Easter means to you. Perhaps knowing it is referring to the Passover then make it mean that. One thing to note though is that one time when it was used was in Acts 12:4 which was after the resurrection and hence the Lord Jesus had already fulfilled the Passover.
It’s a logical fallacy to believe that older automatically means uncorrupted. There is a reason that those older manuscripts were found being used for kindling fires!
IF ANYONE ADDS Literally Words OR TAKES AWAY Words & SCRIPTURES & THINGS FROM THE BIBLE. THE WORD OF GOD. THEY HAVE RO ANSWER TO GOD ALMIGHTY..AND IT WON'T BE PLEASANT AT ALL. SO, GOD'S WORD THE BIBLE " TELLS US SO.
Most modern Bibles have left out and changed many scriptures and changed words that change the scripture meaning WHY you must pay attention to which bible you read, It makes a HUGE Difference and like it or not the original KJV is still the one to read/study
Wow I didnt know this about the NIV. How DARE they take it out and just gave a tiny text below explaining that some manuscripts had it? It shud be done in the opposite way.. including it in the text and then explaining below that it was missing in some. They do not have the authority to take it out like that. I never douted the authenticity of the verse when I read it missing from some. I believe wholeheartedly and was blessed. There were so many times I struggled so hard in spiritual warfare but later gained decisive victory due to fasting and the strength and abundant anointing it brought.
Wrong it never included Enoch because the whole of Enoch has problems with authenticity and therefore not included in the cannon. However Jude and 2 Peter quote some of the writings. Not much though.
The omitted verse was not found in the earliest and most reliable mamuscripts and therefore scholars didn't consider them as original but rather as inserted later on. Hence the omission.
The new translation places the verse Matthew 17:21 in the footnotes and does NOT omit the verse altogether, because human knowledge is not perfect and it is feared that one day an older manuscript will be found that includes this verse.
Don't let it bother you. While very important this video clearly explains why you shouldn't worry. The one I would really worry about is if there is a text written that deletes it or any other without foot notes or explanations.
Which version? My Bible is a KJV and 40 years old. It say lion and lamb. Everyone should read the Pilgrim’s Bible. Not all books are considered inspired but it helps us understand the history of our faith. It’s the Geneva 1560 Bible. The Ethiopian Bible has over 100 books and it’s the same - many of the books are historical not inspired. They do help with understanding the Bible better.
Codex Sianaiticus and Codex Vaticanus, older but exceedingly corrupt manuscripts (the bases for most modern translations) do not have this verse. Yet the verse is attested by early authors like Clement of Alexandra (c. 200) and Tertullian, Origen, and many others. It would be more appropriate if the modern Bible stated, "This verse is attested to in the majority of manuscripts and is witnessed by many early authors, but we blindly follow the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts which we will always claim to be the "best" and have therefore needlessly removed this verse."
ESV Luke 11 the LORD'S prayer is incomplete...it left out Our, who art in Heaven, your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven. Then ends on lead us not into temptation. It left out But deliver us from evil. ESV is also like NIV and the NKJV

The NIV has been deleting words, partial sentences, whole sentences, changing words . They are attempting yo remove the deity of Father God with each printing. We are told not to change anything, not a dot , not a comma. Look into this deep, dark unknown secret to many. Now, most other versions are following. This is awful. Be careful what you read..BE NOT DECEIVED.

TL;DL: a) The verse is missing from many manuscripts. b) Mark 9:29 has the same verse, not missing from manuscripts so it is included in all trustworthy translations. Solution: merge both Matthew’s and Mark’s accounts. ”This kind” most likely refers to unbelief - the boy was, to the eye, dead, even after Jesus had delivered him. There is a place where prayer with fasting opens your eyes to what the Father is doing and thus enables faith to see and speak from what Heaven is doing.
Prayer and fasting is fundamental to the walking to heaven . I fast over the Xmas time and limit all foods everyday. Fasting is very ,very ,very fundamental.
My Bible that I read is the New James version and 17:21 is in it-the entire theme, prayer and fasting. The NIV excludes Matthew 17:21, referring reader to Mark 9:29. In the NASB 1995 Matthew 17:21 has the text in brackets. Fasting is an important part of prayer. During Christ’s ministry the disciples went to Jesus but when Jesus returned to heaven they fasted.
Prayer and fasting get rid of noise snd unbelief in our mind so that the mind and heart are aligned and in agreement and faith is powered up ready to go forth.
The heart and mind are both part of the soul….the heart is not spirit. The one born of God does not sin which refers to a born again spirit. However the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Therefore I think what you mean is the heart and mind will align with our spirit as a result of fasting and prayer.
as does the NlV and various versions of the same NlV by any other name. Best to stick with the KJV or NKJV if you prefer the newer one that is still KJV.
Hundreds of other writings are referred in the Bible. It doesn't mean they are God's word. Example book of jasher, gad, seer. Many books were referenced simply because the people at the time were familiar with the writings, and they were used, for example.
I agree so I actually downloaded the app. It explains everything that the Catholic Church didn’t (and still doesn’t) want you to know. It’s shocking to read, but everything in Genesis discusses the plight Cain and Able, but only mentions Seth - Adam & Eve’s third son.
The greatest literary work mankind has ever produced, the 66 books of the King James translation of the ancient Hebrew and Greek scriptures, THE BIBLE, it is the complete word of God revealing God's purpose and the way to eternal life, read it like your life depends on it, BECAUSE IT DOES!
The gospel of John wrote that no books in this world can hold the entire Jesus history. This is a boldly claim that maybe true at that time, but not now. Nowadays, not only books, even videos of every second in Jesus's life can be recorded with ease.
These changes were deliberate, designed to teach that salvation comes through the church, and destroy the idea that salvation came from God's word. Salvation is an individual responsibility, and most or all religions teach salvation comes through associaion with the church.
If I may, I'd like to explain a couple of things about what my colleagues in translation are doing: 1) They are *not* trying to add or subtract from Scripture - quite the opposite, in fact. They are comparing as many manuscripts as possible to determine what passages seem to be "Marginal Notes". If you've ever written in your Bible, you've written a Marginal Note. Unfortunately, in an effort to remain 100% loyal to copying, scribes sometimes copy these Marginal Notes, too. We are taught not to look at single verses, but to look at context. Matthew Chapter 17, verse 21 seems desperately out-of-place. Who asked why fasting and prayer had anything to do with what the disciples were attempting? It appears to be a question, even though there's no question mark at the end of it. In my humble estimation, Matt. 17:21 is a Marginal Note because there is no context and no reason for it to be there. It may not have been Messiah who said it at all, but a scribe or monk who added it as a question to himself. 2) As for John 7:53, I believe this story is 100% true, and here's why: the woman was caught "in the very act". According to the Law of Moses which Messiah came to fulfill, both the woman *and the man* involved would face punishment, but the man was not brought before Messiah. Because passing judgment on just the woman would be a violation of the Law of Moses, Messiah had no choice but to set her free. I'm sure the Pharisees were extremely upset about this, but they were the ones trying to violate the Law - not Messiah. 3) I am reminded regularly by my colleagues not to get caught up in debates about details - the essential message of the Scriptures remains intact. Although manuscripts often disagree about Marginal Notes, Textual Variations, etc., they are *ALL* in full agreement with the story of the Resurrection - and that's what we need to focus on. To doubt the Word of God based on a short passage here or there is exactly the kind of thing The Accuser wants us to do. Please, brothers and sisters, don't get lost in the forest looking at the trees. Our Way through the forest is clear, and He is the Light to our path. Our little quibbles don't change the fact that the message is there, no matter what.
In the King James Version (KJV) and other traditional translations, Matthew 17:21 reads: "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." Here's the dilemma: The oldest and most reliable Greek manuscripts, such as the Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus, do not include this verse. It is believed that the verse may have been added later, possibly copied from Mark 9:29, which contains a similar phrase. That's why it's best to keep several translations to cross-reference. Either way, even if we can't find it in a newer bible, we know we are supposed to fast while we pray (in some cases).
Two manuscripts wow ! and how many in the Textus Receptus? get your information from the Trinitarian Bible society in Londoen who will disabuse you of believing such nonsesnse1
The oldest Greek manuscript that has this verse in it is from the 13th century. It was added to the Sinaiticus manuscript at the top of the page. It is not part of the original scribes work. The oldest other manuscript that has it in it is from the fifth or sixth century, but it’s in Syriac. The oldest Syriac version known as the Curetonian does not have this verse in it. You can believe what you want, but it seems pretty obvious that this verse was added, not subtracted. I have copies of all the old manuscripts, and this seems pretty obvious that this text was added.
Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. 21 nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you."
Matthew 17:21 says, "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting". This verse appears in the New King James Version (NKJV), the New International Version (NIV), the New Century Version (NCV), and the American Standard Version (ASV)
In many of the earliest and most reliable Greek manuscripts (like the Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus), the phrase "and fasting" is absent. In these manuscripts, Jesus is quoted as saying that "this kind can only come out by prayer." This has led scholars to conclude that "and fasting" may have been a later addition (interpolation) to the text by scribes who wanted to emphasize ascetic practices.

Prayer AND fasting are very important in the Christian faith.
We must fast and pray or we will not make it. In Jesus name Amen. 🙏📖🔥💯🤌

Amen.
After many decades of diligent study and research, this writer "unsubscribed" from this religion whose practice it is to pretend to love GOD, but under the direction of the adversary, insidiously

When asked why his disciples could not cast out this demon, Jesus said, "This one comes out by fasting and prayer". Fasting was to important to leave out. Some Bibles leave out fasting & others leave out the entire verse. The King James version has the entire verse.

Human words can be altered, but the word of God is eternal, and cannot be altered.
Not only that but the interpretation of various texts and verses has changed over the years…
It is altered - numerous translations - so what the hell are you talking about?

I desperately want to learn to fast intentionally and pray without ceasing 😢
Simply be super hungry and align yourself with the will of Father Jesus. Amen 🙏
Me too.

Those that removed those books will receive their judgement as the bible says. You just read what you've been given. They will account to God.

Do you think older vs younger manuscripts means legit vs not legit or is there more to it than just that😂
@downbythesea1071 I think what really matters is how much do you trust that the Lord is still in control no matter what and by that having faith in the word that you were given. 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 9 through 12 sums it up very well.

The NIV has been dubbed the NEARLY inspired version for many reasons.
"Suducing spirits and doctrines of devils shall wax worse and worse."
KJV removed Enoch, Jasher, entire chapter from Esther.
Wrong it never included Enoch because the whole of Enoch has problems with authenticity and therefore not included in the cannon. However Jude and 2 Peter quote some of the writings. Not much though.
non reliable books.
It is extremely important to know that if you cannot drive out demons, Jesus says to fast and try again...Extremely important...
The omitted verse was not found in the earliest and most reliable mamuscripts and therefore scholars didn't consider them as original but rather as inserted later on. Hence the omission.
these ancient manuscripts were rejected by the early church as unreliable, oldest is not necessarily best!

The Pope opened a portal yesterday at Christmas service....it was Demonic.
Now that I’m really hungry, that ought to be enough to scare them demons away.
Most creatures are more dangerous when hungry.
Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

We're not supposed to add to the Bible or take away from the Bible I believe there's blessings and curses connected to that
The NIV has been deleting words, partial sentences, whole sentences, changing words . They are attempting yo remove the deity of Father God with each printing. We are told not to change anything, not a dot , not a comma.
Look into this deep, dark unknown secret to many.
Now, most other versions are following. This is awful. Be careful what you read..BE NOT DECEIVED.
Also Acts 8:37 . The NIV Is missing 60,000 words! Come soon King Jesus! 🙏❤️✝️🕊️I depend on the KJV.
When one is disciplined enough too fast and pray, there is no need for organized religion and their intermediaries.
"to fast". "too many " people seem not to know when to use which word.
a mediation is always needed...
organization ( orderliness )is always needed
@@philipi7235😂 you've been on it and you are too correct! 😂
@@johnflandsiii5248 😀 can one be "too" correct? Or just "correct "? It's binary, isn't it? It was more of a joke, rhetorical question :-)
No there is no way to God, only with Christ.
Half truths , and taking things out of context, are just two weapons used by the mischievous who wish to cause conflict, confusion, and destruction, whilst gaining materialistically in some shape of form.
Here is a beautiful quote that will give you a way of seeing the truth simply and clearly .
' Any religion that is not the cause of LOVE and UNITY is NO RELIGION ' [scientist Max Planck]
I have a KJV Bible This verse is in mine.
It’s only missing in the newer versions… NIV CEV MSG etc
Stick with the KJV not the New World Order Bible Versions.
Bingo... this guy is delivering the wrong message!
How is it wrong
@@thetruthnothingelse5033 I explained exactly why it's wrong. You-sless tube deleted my post.
@@thetruthnothingelse5033 Hey YOU TUBE the grown ups are talking. STAY OUT OF IT. YOU GOT THAT?

Prayer and fasting get rid of noise snd unbelief in our mind so that the mind and heart are aligned and in agreement and faith is powered up ready to go forth.
The heart and mind are both part of the soul….the heart is not spirit. The one born of God does not sin which refers to a born again spirit. However the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked.
Therefore I think what you mean is the heart and mind will align with our spirit as a result of fasting and prayer.
The antichrist versions leave out things, especially crucial things that make all the difference
as does the NlV and various versions of the same NlV by any other name. Best to stick with the KJV or NKJV if you prefer the newer one that is still KJV.
Also, check out Mark 9:29 and see that powerful action taken out. In that verse, many translations take out fasting.
The Book of Enoch should be in there…..Jude refers to it
Hundreds of other writings are referred in the Bible.
That’s why I have more than one Bible 😮
The greatest literary work mankind has ever produced, the 66 books of the King James translation of the ancient Hebrew and Greek scriptures, THE BIBLE, it is the complete word of God revealing God's purpose and the way to eternal life, read it like your life depends on it, BECAUSE IT DOES!
The gospel of John wrote that no books in this world can hold the entire Jesus history.
This is a boldly claim that maybe true at that time, but not now.
Nowadays, not only books, even videos of every second in Jesus's life can be recorded with ease.
The King James scholars translated from the Textus Receptus. Praise the Lord!
KJV best bible! change my mind
The Romanian Orthodox Holly Scripture has that verse even in the new printing version!
These changes were deliberate, designed to teach that salvation comes through the church, and destroy the idea that salvation came from God's word. Salvation is an individual responsibility, and most or all religions teach salvation comes through associaion with the church.
It is in my NASB. It is in brackets I think because it isn't found in all the old manuscripts.
really? contact THE TRINITARIANBIBLE SOCIETY and read their literature don't believe these counterfeit arguments!
If I may, I'd like to explain a couple of things about what my colleagues in translation are doing:
1) They are *not* trying to add or subtract from Scripture - quite the opposite, in fact.
There's a lot of verses are missing.
Don’t agree with your opinion. They are wrong in omitting these verses from the bible. God will deal harshly with those involved in this deceit.
The context of the verse that's "missing" is about how to cast out certain demons by through prayer and fasting.
Excellent video thanks. God bless you!
In many of the earliest and most reliable Greek manuscripts (like the Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus), the phrase "and fasting" is absent.
In these manuscripts, Jesus is quoted as saying that "this kind can only come out by prayer."
This has led scholars to conclude that "and fasting" may have been a later addition (interpolation) to the text by scribes who wanted to emphasize ascetic practices.
You are wrong ,these old manuscripts are corrupted ,many conservative scholars will tell you that!
