@VIA909 Yeah it is AWVR, It is not a real railroad, these are the "Movie Units" for the UNSTOPPABLE Movie. Which you can see in the Suggestions Videos to your right of the screen.
Norfolk Southern diesel bearing the Operation Lifesaver logo on its paint job acting as lead diesel followed by all the AWVR locomotives that took part in the movie and the freight cars, including the Prixton Chemicals tankers and two prop 1206s. Nice! Also, all the AWVR diesels that were borrowed from Canadian Pacific or Wheeling & Lake Erie Railways had their real life numbers over the ones they had in the movie since they were travelling on main line tracks instead of filming for the movie. @@Elliottblancher Not sure, you'd have to look up the information on Wikipedia or other sources. That, or check out video on TH-cam of some of the scenes they filmed that were posted there.
@TboltSiren1000T They covered them with NS engine numbers so they could be identified as they were operational locomotives. They had two sets so they could pull the train in either direction. 1206 is actually a dummy loco which was built by the studio which is why the number is actually on there. the film numbers are hidden under the sheet and in some cases edited in post production.
So awvr was just movie props? I thought they were subsidize atsf locos like bnsf are burlington northern. I was waiting on the flat car with pipes I didn't see it.
The train looks to include every non-prop locomotive plus every freight car from both the runaway train and Washington's train, and some prop cars. The order of cars in the runaway consist looks mostly symmetrical from front to back, so they could film in either direction. Also check out the graffiti by the artist RIME who they commissioned, look him up. Pretty dope. I think they based "Prixton" off Procor tank cars, which was part of the Pritzker family businesses. Humorous play on a name.
There are 2 engines in the gray scheme most likely meaning they never tipped and exploding I watched a video I cant remember the title but it showed everything and how it was made so effects most likely showed that those locos never crashed.
The grey locomotives you see are real sd40-2s and were used in shooting and moving equipment around. The pair of locomotives that crashed in the movie were gutted and scrapped engines put back together with fake and extra locomotive parts and to make it look like the actual thing

What railroad did those diesels actually come from before they were repainted? Was it CSX or Norfolk Southern?
DeathWing, Aspect of death whoops that was a typo my bad
Cool that they took the time to do all that rolling stock and not just the locomotives themselves.

Great freight train! The variety of the locomotives and the 'fictional' AWVR are so great!!
