Chalk paint is the best primer to use on multiple surfaces, (plastic, vinyl, wood and metal) to create a matte surface that acrylic paint will adhere to. Then you can use sticky tape or peel and stick tiles on the newly painted walls.
I didn't have an issue with them sticking, the problem I had is that nothing in an RV is square, so cutting things to fit is frustrating and mostly has to be done in-place. It's been a few years and the tiles are all still stuck just fine.
Am I the only one that immediately took to Google looking up the definition of euclidean after she casually drops the term non euclidean to describe the shape of the trailer and was still kind of lost Her: did you know that trailers are actually non euclidean Me: of course obviously and I didn't just Google search euclidean and still kinda don't know what it means
I can't wait until next week to see the final product! I dream of doing something like this someday too. You did a gorgeous job judging by that final pic! It'll be wonderful for you to have a separate creative work space too now that your house will be more full.
You're right - it's actually really peaceful out here without the household noises. It still needs some work but I love it. It was a lot of work but it's worth it if you ever get the chance. 💜
