A marriage is less a legal government contract or a religious contract than it is a contract between two souls who agree to bond their lives together and make a family and a long term relationship, really a forever relationship together. Most marriages happen before the parties are mature enough to really know what that means. And when they don't succeed, it is the women. The one's who gave birth that pay the consequence and their parents. Then the woman us stuck. Unable to pursue a relationship that works.
