Sir, with due respect, he's got an MS consultancy, and I'm seeing several such consultancies tend to support the US move. I know they're probably just trying to balance the fear that's being spread by all those TH-camrs, but the AI threat is still real to jobs worldwide! I wish someone told me that tech jobs will boom again in 2 years time, so even I can come to the US! I'd love to know what Harnoor things about this!
In the current situation, many U.S. citizens and permanent residents who have graduated are struggling to find jobs aligned with their degrees, largely due to the sudden influx of immigrants. This has greatly frustrated former President Trump, prompting him to advocate for stricter measures on new H-1B visa applications until the employment situation for U.S. citizens improves. Therefore, it’s advisable not to invest your money in consulting agencies that make false promises. Ironically, the person running such an agency might have only secured permanent residency by marrying a U.S. citizen, yet people still place their trust in him. Instead of wasting years relying on these consultancies, focus on building your skills and establishing a career in your home country.
I have been in USA with H1B visa. Last time when trump became president in 2017, people were worried. But he did not do anything which affected H1b people like me. BTW, I like Trump. He loves his country and prioritizes US citizens. It is good for them.
Did it effect contractors? Or H1B transfers? I am a contractor with a desi consultancy but I work for a State Govt Client in a long term contract. And I was a ECE bachelors and work as a Data Scientist now. I have heard people in my situations had gotten RFE's last time when they wanted to transfer their H1B or extend their H1B after 3 years
In 2018 he moved to take away work permit for spouses of h1b visa holders. It affects many. Visa wait times were also longest under him. Affects parents etc who want to visit. Also most immigrant communities are deeply conservative - Latino, indian, Arab, Asian. They all vote conservative. It is not a surprise - your voting preference. You all want to recreate your home countries here, and turn US like that.
The difference this time around is market is different and the make up of house and senate is also different. Trump knows how to achieve polices he wants as there are less resistance in his inner circle. If you think Repub. push back on trump, you are naive. He has total control of the republican party. The sentiment on the immigration also has changed. People who purse CS and technology degrees are already moving to the right on immigration due to the difficulty on finding jobs. This trump presidency is different than 2016.
I think people should put on hold for an year or so and see how the whole thing unfolds before deciding to head to US for higher studies . Unless you are going for PhD
Indian has all the resources it needs. Your government should create jobs and provide all the infrastructure that the country needs. It is ridiculous how immigrants are demanding their rights in the US.
My first question to the Indians, You have your own country, instead of judging and talking about America, why don't you talk about your own Indian politicians, why don't you talk about your country poverty crisis, corruption and the dirty politics of India. Go and build your own country.

@HemanthKumar-b9clot of cyber security roles here in the US are at federal level, meaning government departments and agencies. They require US citizenship with which comes the ability for TS/SCI polygraph testing as the data you’re going to work on is highly confidential. And they don’t sponsor work visa as well. @HemanthKumar-b9c It’s totally worth it taking up cyber security career in the US. But just be aware that the workload to compensation might have a great parity.
