      Sir, with due respect, he's got an MS consultancy, and I'm seeing several such consultancies tend to support the US move. I know they're probably just trying to balance the fear that's being spread by all those TH-camrs, but the AI threat is still real to jobs worldwide! I wish someone told me that tech jobs will boom again in 2 years time, so even I can come to the US! I'd love to know what Harnoor things about this!

    In the current situation, many U.S. citizens and permanent residents who have graduated are struggling to find jobs aligned with their degrees, largely due to the sudden influx of immigrants. This has greatly frustrated former President Trump, prompting him to advocate for stricter measures on new H-1B visa applications until the employment situation for U.S. citizens improves.
    Therefore, it’s advisable not to invest your money in consulting agencies that make false promises. Ironically, the person running such an agency might have only secured permanent residency by marrying a U.S. citizen, yet people still place their trust in him. Instead of wasting years relying on these consultancies, focus on building your skills and establishing a career in your home country.

    I have been in USA with H1B visa. Last time when trump became president in 2017, people were worried. But he did not do anything which affected H1b people like me. BTW, I like Trump. He loves his country and prioritizes US citizens. It is good for them.

      Did it effect contractors? Or H1B transfers? I am a contractor with a desi consultancy but I work for a State Govt Client in a long term contract. And I was a ECE bachelors and work as a Data Scientist now. I have heard people in my situations had gotten RFE's last time when they wanted to transfer their H1B or extend their H1B after 3 years

    • @mrgyani
      @mrgyani หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      In 2018 he moved to take away work permit for spouses of h1b visa holders. It affects many.
      Visa wait times were also longest under him. Affects parents etc who want to visit.
      Also most immigrant communities are deeply conservative - Latino, indian, Arab, Asian. They all vote conservative.
      It is not a surprise - your voting preference. You all want to recreate your home countries here, and turn US like that.

    The difference this time around is market is different and the make up of house and senate is also different. Trump knows how to achieve polices he wants as there are less resistance in his inner circle. If you think Repub. push back on trump, you are naive. He has total control of the republican party.
    The sentiment on the immigration also has changed. People who purse CS and technology degrees are already moving to the right on immigration due to the difficulty on finding jobs.

      @nikhil-di3vn หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @HemanthKumar-b9clot of cyber security roles here in the US are at federal level, meaning government departments and agencies. So it’s not feasible for foreign nationals to work in these roles even if they are well qualified for the role. They require US citizenship with which comes the ability for TS/SCI polygraph testing as the data you’re going to work on is highly confidential. And they don’t sponsor work visa as well. You can manage to get a decent cybersecurity role at a private firm but need to be highly competent.
      I’m a marine geologist myself, and have struggled a lot to find a job due to this reason. But now working for a private firm.

    • @thymos6575
      @thymos6575 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@nikhil-di3vn nope you dont need to be highly competent yea for roles that offer more than 150k to 400k sure but US offers a lot of jobs for cybersecurity unlike different parts of country its just most people do basic certs in cybersec and think they can land a 100k jon

    • @nikhil-di3vn
      @nikhil-di3vn หลายเดือนก่อน

      @HemanthKumar-b9c It’s totally worth it taking up cyber security career in the US. But just be aware that the workload to compensation might have a great parity. Like I said, bigger firms need more in terms of securing their data so they’ll definitely pay you well, but for smaller firms, the pay might be little low for what you actually do. Again, it’s not “less” but it’s just a little low for what you actually deserve.
      And yes, certifications are really something that companies will evaluate you on. Good luck!

    • @nikhil-di3vn
      @nikhil-di3vn หลายเดือนก่อน

      @HemanthKumar-b9calso, adding to that, keeping the job opportunities aside, I would really not suggest US in terms of immigration and long term settlement. The system is outdated and is a relic now. They just milk us for money on renewals, premium fee on renewals, yet not guaranteeing anything for consistency. There is not credit to merit in the country for immigration unlike other nations. Everybody goes into the same basket, and will be picked in a lottery. How silly. And please don’t fall into the viewership of these vloggers and NRI’s. Nobody here sleeps in peace unless they have a green card which is far from reality now.
      I would suggest you to look at other countries for your career. I’ve hear Germany is decent. Do your research and you’ll definitely succeed. Good luck :)

    So Trump has very little impact on IT jobs. Now, domains such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mechanical engineering, essentially doing something in the “real world” is more sensible.
