I am a french-american MK, 60 years old; I live in France, married to a faithful french pastor. It is hard for me to see what happened, and even to hear what you have to say. I didn't see all of the ceremony. But I am conscious of the spiritual state of France, and I ask you, please do pray for France ! Thank you for your commentaries and insight.

Excellent scripture verse and has become more obvious in our own time. We are becoming ancient Rome, with our bacchanalia mentality. Rome fell when this type of gross activity reached into it’s every aspect. Their army became infected and effeminate and was easily overcome by their enemies. Our armed services has become infected with diversity and inclusion as the cadets are taught they are racist because of their skin color and personal beliefs. Peace to you in Christ🙏

I think it might be worthwhile for some to watch Francis Schaeffer's video series called "How Should We Then Live?" It is from the late 1970s but is prophetic in regards to the degradation to art that occurs when society begins to deteriorate and to be involved in rampant debauchery.

I totally agree with your point about Christian athletes needing to speak out about this. I'm Canadian, and I know that many of our men's volleyball team are also Christians. Multiple come from the Christian University just down the road from us that was denied the right to start a law school a number of years ago by the Canadian supreme Court because our country doesn't believe that the Christian values should be brought into a courtroom.

Unfortunately, for many evanjellyfish Christians carrying your cross means not swearing or using the Lord's name in vain, and nothing more. A lot of "Christianity" is just external behavioral modification aka moralistic therapeutic deism because there is very little denying of self as shown by their fruits.

Glad to see Judicial Watch filed an FCC complaint against NBC for airing this and still having it on their internet channel also calling for an independent inquiry on it. It actually is against the law what they did and is punishable by a two year prison sentence for the person responsible. This was intentional and no costume malfunction. It’s a long shot but I hope someone pays.

I have no interest whatsoever in the Olympics. I don’t watch them (haven’t for years) and I’m not surprised that they have become totally vile and disgusting. They are a reflection of the world that is continually spiraling downward. Even the athletics part of it is a gross display of pride and self aggrandizement. • @Zayn.A

I am a Muslim. I'm really sorry you have not read the Quran because if you did, you would read the following verses.
Chapter 3: The Family of Imran
Verse 42: The angels proclaimed, "Mary, God has chosen you and purified you; He has chosen you above all women."
Verse 43: "Mary, devote yourself to your Lord; prostrate yourself in worship, and bow in prayer with all those who bow."
Verse 44: This is a disclosure from the unseen, which We reveal to you, Prophet, for you were not among them when [the priests] cast lots to see which of them should have charge of Mary; you were not among them when they argued about this.
Verse 45: The Angels said, "Mary, God gives you joyous news of His Word - He shall be called the messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, and he shall be honored in this world and the hereafter, and he shall be among those closest to God.
Verse 46: "He shall speak to the people from the cradle and in adulthood, and he shall be among those who do good."
Verse 47: She said, "My Lord, how shall I have a son, when no man has touched me?" He replied, "So it is - God creates what He will. When He decrees a thing, He merely says to it, 'Be' and it is."
Verse 48: "And God will teach him the Book, and Wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel,
Verse 49: "and appoint him as a messenger for the Children of Israel, 'I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I will create for you the form of a bird from clay, and breathe into it so that it becomes a living bird, by God's leave.
" 'I heal the blind and the leper, and I bring the dead to life, by God's leave, And I inform you of what you can eat, and what you should store in your homes. In this is a sign for you, if you are believers.
Verse 50: " 'And I have come to confirm the Torah that came before me, and to make lawful part of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so be mindful of God, and obey me.
Verse 51: God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him: This is a straight Path.' "
      Translations by Bruce B. Lawrence & M.A.R. Habib (2024)
Islam is the ONLY non-Christian faith to believe in Jesus as the messiah. We do not believe him to be the son of God or God himself. We believe he was a mighty Messenger. He will come at the end of times to defeat the anti-christ (whom we called Dajjal.)
Just by this simple fact that we believe Jesus to be the messiah proves your claim to be false.
Please stop with your ignorant hatred of Islam. It doesn't suite Christians. And quite frankly, your religion is being desecrated on national television and the only thing you can say is 'Islam bad'. Seriously, wake up!
Thank you and have a great day.

You're right, both are true. I didn't believe it was a parody of the Last Supper at first but Martyn Iles (Answer in Genesis) made a great video about it and reports that it says "Last Supper" on the guests' programmes, and initially the organisers claimed they had the right to use a famous painting (which btw is also blasphemous with a woman sitting next to Yeshua). Only in face of the indignation, the organisers are backpedalling and pretending it was only a Pagan feast.
Someone comments that if it was a satanic ritual, they cannot apologise but can deny it. Whatever, we're really at the end of days. Maranatha!

On the thing about the Last Supper, they said it was meant to be a nod to inclusivity and tolerance, but what they fail to realize (or they simply ignored the fact) is that the real Last Supper was one of the most exclusive events in history. True, one of the participants was a former tax collector, one (Peter) would publicly deny Jesus, and of course Judas betrayed Him, but the only MEN (no women or some made up genders) there were Jews who were His closest, most intimate companions. Hardly the image modern culture wants you to believe.

People these days are always pointing out that Jesus sat with sinners and ate with sinners. And that's true. He was there to save them, not to sin with them.
But He had His inner circle. The men that worked with Him in the work He had come to do.
the way some say it today, they seem to think Jesus just partied, sinned, blasphemed and trash talked the Bible and religion. That's the opposite of what He did.

    1. The people who were involved in this display would be far better off being judged by Christians now than by Christ at the White Throne.
    2. Could I have done that? I love that rule of measurement. I can’t draw a good stick figure but I can see this isn’t good art. The better the artist is who can say “wow, even I couldn’t have done that!” the better the art is. Great rule of thumb.

I can't watch those clips again. I saw enough of it already. It makes me so angry. It's not just non-Christians saying we should (basically) sit there and take it and "forgive." I'm hearing it from the Christian side, as well. And by "forgive", it means ignore it and even keep watching the Olympics like nothing ever happened. Which is what some Christians will do.
I hadn't even seen the argument that we're offended because we don't like, art. It would be laughable if it wasn't all so blasphemous. This sewage is not art.
I don't follow the Olympics in general. It doesn't interest me. People worship these athletes anyway. But any supposed Christian who didn't walk out of there IMMEDIATELY needs to repent. If anyone is still participating, that demonstrates exactly why I don't care for the Olympics. They worship sports over Christ. Quite literally, in this case.
It makes me angry and sick to see my Lord mocked and blasphemed this way. I will not apologize for that, not to non-Christians and certainly not to anyone professing to be a Christian. I want these blasphemers to BOW before Christ. If they bow in genuine repentance and worship to my Lord, great! That is my preferred outcome! Welcome to the family of God.
But I have no problem saying that if they refuse, I want to see them bow in terror of judgment. You will not mock my Lord Jesus and get away with it.
Again, no genuine follower of Christ would either continue to watch (whether on screen on in person) or participate in this filth.

I’m obviously not Dr. Everhard, but I would say, “I agree. And countless mature Christians were grievously offended. That should tell you something.” There is hardly any weight or gravity in anything anymore, especially in godless, Western consciousness. So in a time when no one cares about anything, it should be mature Christians who are offended by blasphemy, because what offends God should offend those who love Him and who have the mind of Christ.

Paris was just a recognised city of sleaze, where it all seemed to gather at any one time at a period which has been recognised as a time of revolution in art. As to where it all happened is of little consequence into the reality of the event.
Paris just happened to be a convenient central location, as Russians fled from their homelands for example.

Rather, it is a tear in his tights, thus revealing lighter coloured skin. Please check this yourself. Also, the Bull statue is actually a 1937 statue “Bull’s head and leaping deer” by French artist Paul Jouvre. We don't need to create false narratives or choose to be selective in what we cover in order for the depravity of this opening ceremony to still be evident. Blessings in Christ.

Actually France did have a very strong Protestant presence in the 16th and 17th centuries, strong enough that the Protestants and Catholics actually engaged in civil war, and there was a real possibility that France could have become a Protestant country. The Protestants were strong enough that the Catholic monarchy was forced to formalize tolerance of the Protestants. But later on Louis XIV was influenced by one of his mistresses, who was (very ironically) devoutly Catholic, to reverse policies and persecute and expel the Protestants. France does have a significant Protestant heritage that I hope and pray will be recovered. Catholicism certainly did fail badly in holding the culture against the advances of progressivism.

"Imaginary". You are parroting Israeli propaganda in both your view of the state of Palestine and the definition of this so-called war. The facts beyond all the propaganda, you'll have to dig, totally disagree with you.

@@MatthewEverhard In the roaring 1920s, loads of artists, including Americans F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway, lived in Paris. It was a hub or melting pot of art. All the publishing houses and art dealers lived there, and Paris, of course, became some sort of Sodom and Gomorra.
And you're right, pastor, France has always been hostile to Christians. For example, the Huguenots were treated very nastily by the French, so much so that they had to flee France, and years later they had a very bloody revolution and later they witnessed the rise of Napoleon, who was rather bloody too.

I have to add Psalm 2 because God laughs and mocks at these wicked people and their wickedness. God is still on the throne and His judgement will be swift. As followers of Christ we must love our enemies. It is easier said than done, yes. But sharing the Gospel and pleading with them to repent AND communicating judgement that will enivitably follow unless they repent needs to be preached with urgency. I believe that the seeker sensitive and watered down Gospel style "churches" contributed to the level of our degenerating culture; that is all over the world. Because when all the world hears is the love and acceptance of Jesus and just say this prayer the world doesn't take it seriously. But teaching all of God's attributes and the nature of His character with impending judgement.......well......., maybe that will cause people to think more if God sees fit to make them realize the reality of hell and that they are just storing up wrath for the day of judgement.

Let’s look at Calvinist Scotland where the Evangelical light was brought by Knox: I have been to Scotland and had rapport with many Presbyterian’s who are at a loss of the faith within there church. He has a very American view of church history which is distorted by Ulrich Zwingli who to paraphrase ( in order to do this thing of ours we have to not use the Church Fathers but rely totally on the Bible). We can see how that worked out.

I be wondered this for sometime So why are we getting mad at sinners for doing what they do. They are sinners ignorant of the truth. If anything this event ought to bring more conviction and determination to keep preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I take no pleasure in seeing or hearing this It’s sad to me that their mockery and hate for God is so great but still knowing all that our responsibility is to preach the Gospel and dispel the darkness

Brother Everhard, although I am in complete agreement with you concerning the perverse nature of the entire opening ceremony, I must point out in the name of truth that the performer’s genitals were not showing.
If you look through some more of the photos from that night, you can clearly see that the shape to which you are referring is merely a hole in the black mesh stockings he was wearing.
If I could post the photo that clearly shows this in a comment, I would.

Matthew, I would like to tell you it’s even darker then you have just revealed. This is not new. This time it’s over because it’s the 33’d Olympics, the birthplace of the m’s. See George Washington, Statue of Liberty et al. The 2012 games in London was an ode to wikness and a celebrity M festival, that also features dancing nurses and 1000’s of hospital beds as prophecy in the 2020 bad cold year. You may want to search the Swiss gottard tunnel opening several years ago, attended by the same world elites.
Finally the m’s have twin pillars of Jochin and Boaz In Solomon temple. Recall that the correct date for the birth of Christ is sept V11. On that day the pillars were destroyed in a ritual and mocking Christ at the end of the millennium and the dawn of the age of Aquarius. Crazy and sick, yes. Evil! Yes. The towers were up for exactly the same years as the Olympic this year Olympics 33, yes 33. Frump speech on Christian’s, the anti migrant riots here in UK. All are linked . A new order out of Chaos.
