This is the real story behind State of Siege: Temple Attack
State of Siege: Temple Attack is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Ken Ghosh, starring Akshaye Khanna in the lead role. It was made as a direct-to-video film for ZEE5. It is based on the 2002 Akshardham Temple attack and the subsequent operation to kill the perpetrators.

Colonel Tushar Joshi, Sena Medal is a decorated Indian army officer commissioned into Kumaon Regiment in 1993 . He has 29 years of army service, with experience ranging from serving in the Siachen Glacier to dealing with insurgency in Kashmir.
Col Tushar Joshi is the courageous officer who led the historic NSG operation at Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, which resulted in the rescue of over 80 people and the elimination of two terrorists.
In 2003, the President of India awarded Col Joshi the Sena Medal for his heroism.
State of Siege: Temple Attack, a ZEE5 Original film was inspired by these true events.

In this operation one JCO of my unit(13 Mahar) got martyrdom. Later he was decorated with ASHOKA CHAKRA.
Small children, pregnant wife, ailing parents, unmarried siblings ... Tough for a civilian to imagine the challanges these men leave behind when they walk into the kill zone.
The supreme sence of duty is far more important than subsidised ration and pension schemes.
He was our Commanding Officer of 3 MAH BN WHAT A PERSONALITY HE IS I meet with sir in camp🔥🔥🔥 CATC 414 what a night it was he tell the same story to us and motivated us so much,and he is very very down to hearth personality...😌😌
What a personality, he was there defending us with his life on the line and now he sang for us with all his heart. Col Tushar Sir you are warm like the Sun in winters and cool like the Moon on hot nights of summers. Sir, you guys were one step behind in action since terrorist hit first. But you compensated for that tactical disadvantage with pure courage, training and thinking two steps ahead. During a terror attack, a terrorist leaves behind significant chuck of his fear and hesitation due to brain-washing whereas you faced that all fear on the ops and overcame that hesitation with training and courage. With the resources at your disposal, you did the best you could, Sir. Never doubt that for a second. Jai Hind!

Sir has changed my whole perception of a special force officer. He so lively and fun loving person.
Actually it ranges from the personal experience of each officer and jawan. For example, a Para SF commando will have much more experience of combat and bloodshed in isolated environment, and hence is more likely to be reserved and more serious in general.
Whereas a NSG commado relatively does not participate in as many operations as a Para SF commando, and specialises in urban environments, hence isn't isolated for months on end and left to fend for himself/herself. Not taking away anything from the NSG, they are a force to be reckoned with, but a NSG commando is relatively better off than other special forces personnel.
He is a real hero of our country. I salute you sir. Your speach is really inspiring us.❤🙏🇮🇳🙏👍
