- After 11 years of waiting Ukraine finally ratified the Istanbul convention.
Why is this decision crucial, especially during the full-scale war? What work awaits us in the future?
Let's discuss it in the second episode of the podcast "Feminists about war". Our guests:
🔸Daryna Mizina - digital activism coordinator in Amnesty International Ukraine.
🔸Yana Pekun - gender equality and social inclusion expert consultant. Podcaster at Radio Scovoroda and author of the TH-cam channel "Yana PRO". Stays in Lviv.
🔸Viktoriya Karpa - lawyer, human rights defender, lecturer, head of the center JurFem Education. Had lived in Lviv, temporarily relocated to Spain, plans to return to Lviv.
🔥 "Feminists about war" is a series of informal feminist talks. First-hand testimonies and thoughts of women active in civic activism before and during the full-scale Russia's invasion are equally important as reports about political decisions.
⚙️"Feminist workshop" is a non-governmental organization. Since 2014 we create a space for strengthening the feminist community in Lviv and Ukraine. After the beginning of the full-scale invasion we also focus on providing humanitarian aid and work at the creation of the shelter for women that lost their homes.
