I Måneskin (pronuncia danese [ˈmɔːnəˌske̝n]) sono un gruppo musicale rock italiano formatosi a Roma nel 2016 e composto da Damiano David (voce), Victoria De Angelis (basso), Thomas Raggi (chitarra) ed Ethan Torchio (batteria).
Hanno raggiunto la notorietà in Italia nel 2017 in seguito alla partecipazione all'undicesima edizione di X Factor, grazie alla quale, pur essendosi classificati secondi, hanno firmato un contratto con l'etichetta discografica Sony Music, pubblicando l'EP Chosen nello stesso anno. L'anno seguente è uscito l'album di debutto Il ballo della vita, contenente il singolo Torna a casa, che ha consacrato il gruppo a livello nazionale, permettendo di intraprendere un'estesa tournée tutto esaurito.
Nel 2021 è stato pubblicato il secondo album Teatro d'ira - Vol. I, contenente il brano Zitti e buoni, che ha permesso alla formazione di trionfare alla 71ª edizione del Festival di Sanremo e alla 65ª edizione dell'Eurovision Song Contest. Il successo all'Eurovision ha permesso ai Måneskin di affermarsi sulla scena mondiale, entrando in svariate classifiche.

How young they were. Don't even recognize Thomas from how he looks now.. Thomas and Ethan are the youngest and if I'm correct they were just 16 when they were on X factor 🤔 So in this video they were somewhere around 14 or 15 years young.. Victoria one year older en Damiano 2.. And them playing in the street.. they were so good already.. What a journey they had from the streets to the big venues all around the world in such a short period of time.. I hope they'll never forget where they came from and keep themselves grounded. Respect their friendships and keep a cool head. They will get very far if they do. Hope we'll get to enjoy this band and their music for many years to come 🤗😎❤️

One thing I would love to see: if they surprisingly appeared one of these days in the same place, without anybody knowing about it, just arrive quickly and start playing, maybe with a bit of disguise. That would be quite a cool event.
A few years ago, U2 did something like that in Berlin: Bono and The Edge went to a tube station started playing as if they were street musicians. The frustrating part was that they went with a bunch of body guards, production, camera staff, etc. and many fans already knew that, so at the end it was just a shallow marketing move. But if they did as a true surprise, it would certainly explode even more in social media and would feel more authentic.
they already did that for the promotion of one of their single from the first album, going in almost the same spot where they used to play. now they would get mobbed
@@sofypi7493 well, if they do it for a promotion, then they will have lots of cameras, security, etc. and naturally will draw attention. But if they mask themselves in a way that's hard to be recognized and play unknown songs with genuine goal to not be cought, I believe they could pretend it for a while.
