I love the lengths they went to in order to make the combined mode symmetrical to separate him from the other standard combiners and to sell the idea that they're more generally composed and unified, partly since we can assume Tarn is in control. As for a name, ive been calling him Judgement offhandedly.
I know IF has a lot of projects in the works but I am damn curious about the next combiner. As much as Id love to see the Terrorcons in IDW legends combiner style... I'm hoping the Seacons are next. Bruticus/War Giant is amazing, hands down one of my favorites in my collection, and this DJD set looks to be even better. Each bot individually looks comic accurate and is highly poseable. Oh and it combines. Because thats what happens if you leave Decepticons alone in a room. Id love to see this in a shattered glass black and purple repaint. Combiner looks great aesthetically and concept wise, but its the paint scheme that loses me. The tan and power ranger red stands out a bit too much. It helps break up the colors, but the tones are a bit too bright.
Shade Considering Tarnation can carry both Kaon and Vos on one arm with no balance issues or elbow slouching...seems like IF could potentially break the code and release a Piranacon that can finally pose while holding the sixth member in gun mode.
You inverted those two pieces behind the shoulders, look at the piece that has Merak's head inside, it has a slot on the side that links to the rectangular peg that the black central body piece has on its left side (looking from behind) on what is Dubhe's leg, so sand colored piece behind the left shoulder and blue colored piece behind the right one.

By the way, I forgot both are made by the same company, so for a while I was wondering: "Why top of the chest looks a lot like War Giant's in terms of engineering?" :D.

Everyone, since the grey prototypea were revealed, some wanted the combined mode was accurate to tarn but that would have made the color of the individual componenta completely wrong, although i think there is still hope rhey will release one special color one at some point

Oh, good to know! The instructions, not being in color, were a little vague, and they're similar enough that I didn't worry too much about it.

Nice figure! The combined mode is pretty good, honestly makes up for the sub-decent individual modes ( they're still good though, just my opinion ) .
Half of the vehicle modes are just the robot modes lying down
