I remember hauling out manure piles that we had in several places around our farms. We had a couple tractors w/ 250bu Meyer's spreaders and a tractor w/ a loader. While I was loading one up, my dad was hauling out the other. It was a non-stop operation. We would take at least a week or 2 to do it all.
i ran a bergmann spreader on a ts125 NH and it worked great! a little bit backheavy but u can solve that with weights. about 22-25tonnes loaded and i drove it some hilly stuff
Okay, I can see where the push spreader would be an advantage over the apron spreader, especially in the colder climate like you would have there in Wisconsin. But the idea of not controlling the speed of the manure being feed into the beaters on the rear of the machine, I see that as a disadvantage, because you don't how much, or how little you are applying the product. And thats the advantage of the apron chain drive, right up to the time the apron snaps and you have about half of the load unloaded. And it's like "okay, not what I wanted to do today! Shoveling the product out of the spreader just so I can repair the chain. Great video Ryan.
That is a very beefy spreader, and it's up to the task of spreading beef manure. I'm looking forward to the footage of the two running side by side and getting your opinion about which design you like better.
Thanks for sharing and explaining how it should work, you would think they could get some feedback from the power input on the spreader to adjust speed based on material density. Looking forward to the next video.
Since many farms only spread manure for a couple of weeks a year instead of on a daily or weekly basis, I expect many farms might prefer to rent a large spreader rather than purchase one. There are already companies that specialize in spreading liquid manure.
Does the three point hitch catch the guards and shields belonging to the pto and ram? it looks very close to the tractor and as if it's already got a dent or two.
It's definitely a NEED for them. With travis building his herd and Ryan wanting more cattle. They're gonna have, idk 200 cows eventually? That's a lot of poop!
Hey Ryan I was just in Wisconsin and got a few pictures taken by your sign my girlfriends mom grew up around the potosi Wisconsin area and my girlfriend went to school up in potosi and I heard your mom is a secretary at the school there in potosi if that's correct?
That's awesome, really curious the difference between the two. Hope u get a chance to use a baller demo kuhn. I have a VB3190 baler its awesome. And my ps242. They make great products.
Gotta look into getting a mic setup on the guests, hard to hear them when they're not talking directly to the camera. I always enjoy your vids, thanks Ryan!
Still the quick hitch will smash into the spreader when you turn with the tractor, not good. Look at the damage on the spreader already. Make the hitch longer.
Oh man the poop is going to fly So much for the better clearance with the big gouges in the hose horn, if that's improved movability the old model must have really sucked. Ah well back to the drawing board I am sorry but the PS 260 blows this one away. This looks like it needs a 2 or 3 stage ram put in so you can shorten up the hose horn a couple more feet to stop the binding If you want you can tell them this was your idea
If that happened on my farm, the hired man would get a fork handed to him and he would pitch it. You cant fix stupid, but you can punish it. I own a pro push and it is the best spreader we have ever owned.
Not understanding the gloves comment. I grew up farming and unless it was winter time or we were baling square bales I never wore gloves. Go right from pitching manure to eating lunch with never an issue. Rarely ever washed hands unless it was before bed.
Hopefully you get to demo some hay tools this summer from Kuhn. Like to hear you're thoughts on them! Happy New year!

This is the very good technical solution,
which has been on garbage trucks since the 60s.
It works year after year. 💪
Nice video Ryan hope u has a merry Christmas
Ryan , I can’t wait to see the spreader work !
How did you ge those scratches near the hitch on that nice new piece of equipment?
always very professionally done. It will be interesting to see pros/cons on the two types side by side
Hope you had a very Merry Christmas.
Are the sides and floor reversible so when the polly wears out on the inside you can just flip them before you have to replace the whole panel
marshal trailers in the UK have been making a front pushing muck spreader for years
I remember our first John Deere Hydra Push spreader, what an upgrade that was over the chain drive spreaders.
Great video. The uncontrolled push does sound like it could be a problem for some applications

We have these spreaders and you can control the amount fairly well by changing the flow and your ground speed
Optional electric over hydraulic controller works great for varying spread amount

So you guys got a new spreader now or just demoing or what
Partnership to showcase a brand and to help there farm our win for win
Great video Ryan! How many spreaders does a guy need lol!!! The Kuhn spreaders do look like some really nice machines though!
Lots lol
and the bergmann was 3 axels and 600mm tires! it did float
Oh man that'd be a cool video to see both spreaders going at once!
For guys that are dealing with a lot of liquid would they recommend one of these. Hope you had a great Christmas Ryan.
The Farming Life it’s a prototype, meaning not available to anyone. Neighbors must have finally told you enough borrowing equioment
The Kuhn knight slingers work well for liquid
U have a perfectly good meyer spreader tho???
Hey putz the only spreader you own is an Amish size that could be pulled by 2 horses just stick to that
@@Ethanj387 No that is his neighbors he owns a tractor a Bayler and chisel plow that's about it
Congrats on a QUARTER MILLION subscribers!
@1:56 he says more clearance around the hose board for quick hitches, but the rub marks from the quick hitch say otherwise.
Depends on the tractor you put on the unit, it can be a saver

Holy cow thay have no snow up here in northern Wisconsin we have over a foot
South East Wisconsin here, we have a couple inches now, what is so hard to believe is how warm it is.
North west WI here we didn’t loose our snow. still have a foot
Congrats on a Quarter Million Subs ! Well deserved.
Cool to see you working with local companys. I have a bunch of friends that work at the Kuhn kight plant in broadhead. Only a few miles from our farm.
Nice video! Does the spreader use the tractor hydraulics for the pusher or has it its own hydraulic system with a pump driven by the pto?
Very nice Ryan, looks like Santa was good to you. Lots of New big boy toys for your family farm..god bless you and your family
what are the payments on that bad boy, can I spread them over 60 months ??
Thanks for sharing Ryan..
Awesome Video! about roughly how old is the New Idea spreader Ryan?
That feeling when you can't wait to see a manure spreader spreading manure. :)

Gratulations for 250000 Abos
Really surprised it didn't use HMWP for the wall and floor liners.
Good video. Have a blessed day.
Thank you Ryan, Your videos are brilliant, You have a great family / great farms. Happy New Year.
Gonna have to sign that one too
Is the farm thinking about updating y'alls spreader?
Well thay have 2 kuhn demo/prototype machines on the farm so id say so lol
It's definitely a NEED for them. With travis building his herd and Ryan wanting more cattle. They're gonna have, idk 200 cows eventually? That's a lot of poop!
Tires look little small with all that weight. Compaction?
Hey Ryan I was just in Wisconsin and got a few pictures taken by your sign my girlfriends mom grew up around the potosi Wisconsin area and my girlfriend went to school up in potosi and I heard your mom is a secretary at the school there in potosi if that's correct?
She was, she quit this year
There launching it on my birthday!!
Happy Future Birthday !
Our propush has a controller for the cylinder why did he say that could not be done.
Who dis !? Ryan always introduces himself, hey everybody it's Ryan.....
You have to have some type of intro and this ones "Ryan's". Works really well.
Hey Ryan!!
Great spreader
Do a price difference
Your Christmas present Ryan!😮😜
That's awesome, really curious the difference between the two. Hope u get a chance to use a baller demo kuhn. I have a VB3190 baler its awesome. And my ps242. They make great products.
Are you demoing it or do you own it
@Grahamsobieski they are demoing it
Now if you just had a bigger loader
wtf Today would have been a great day to see it in action.
Too much footage and not enough time to edit it all.
250K Subs! How cool is that? 😎
Damn. A prototype. That's like you getting to fly a brand new fighter plane. Well.........sorta.
fabulous analogy/imagination there! lol
They need to put a ladder on so you can get in for cleaning, especially in the winter, I know from experience
That'll make you take fewer trips back and forth to get more manure!
Gotta look into getting a mic setup on the guests, hard to hear them when they're not talking directly to the camera. I always enjoy your vids, thanks Ryan!
Is it Sunday yet? Lol

Hi
Hey!
I got one of your shirts for Christmas and I love it
I got a sweatshirt
Glad you enjoy them!
Wish we could have seen it in action.... :/
Buy the kuhn👌🇵🇹 Portugal
KUHN
*Forrest Gump flashbacks*
Anyone who ever had to empty a Push Spreader by hand cause your Farmhand didnt pulled the Wall back, won't even consider to buy one of these 😂🙈
If that happened on my farm, the hired man would get a fork handed to him and he would pitch it. You cant fix stupid, but you can punish it. I own a pro push and it is the best spreader we have ever owned.
This spreader works a lot like a garbage truck
I notice the Salesman is wearing gloves and you, Ryan.....are not. Just don't rub your eyes, nose or mouth.
Is that Sunday, right after church?
Why?
Neva spent a day outside in the real world have you?
Not understanding the gloves comment. I grew up farming and unless it was winter time or we were baling square bales I never wore gloves. Go right from pitching manure to eating lunch with never an issue. Rarely ever washed hands unless it was before bed.
I want his Job. I sell shit, that spreads shit. On shit.
