      The mortgage rates went up when Liz truss and Kwasi Kwarteng told their friends to bank against the U.K., then caused a crisis deliberately, then took kickbacks from those friends. Let’s be honest about what happened here. Our mortgages went up because the Tories stole from us.

    Reality check: Tax burden highest in 70 years. The roads are full of potholes, our rivers are full of sewage, there are nasty sickness bugs showing up in tap water, e-coli outbreaks due to health & safety cuts, there are 5 hour waits for ambulances, people can't get a Doctor's appointment, NHS dentists are almost extinct, 600+ police stations closed since 2010, court system backlog, legal aid cuts, disabled people have taken their own lives due to cruel welfare reforms, housing is unaffordable, homelessness and food banks visible all over the country, political sleeze & constant chaos...
    If you think the Tories will win - Start packing.

    • @gary1642
      @gary1642 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't forget the windfall they received after the banks bought back their shares after Gordon Brown saved the Western World's monetary systems. They gave that away in tax cuts just like they have with their austerity savings. I have first hand experience of the cuts. The Christmas before last my 61 yr old Sister felt unwell. She was struggling to breath and running a temperature. Her husband called an ambulance. The operator asked "is she breathing" as she was no ambulance was sent . Two hours later at midnight another call was made with the very same reply. An hour later my Sister passed away. Within 10 mins there was an ambulance at the door. This government has to be kicked out and never let into office ever again.

  • @stephenbourne4058

    And conservatives plan is to reduce welfare (target the poorest in society). I would rather pay more for better services, rather than let you destroy services more, widened the wealth gap, to look after the top 1%. If you want my vote be honest, stop avoiding the real issue. We need to close the gap between the top in society (those that avoid tax and live off assets, and those that work 12 hour days and still have to use a food bank).

    Imagine doing all that homework and then making an incorrect assumption for your conclusion.
    £38.529bn / 18.4m is not how the tax system works.
    Here's why:
    Last year the government raised £1095bn in taxes. Divide that by 18.4m and you get £59,511.
    So by Tory figures every household is paying nearly £60,000 per year in taxes.
    If their maths is that bad, no wonder national debt went up by £300million every day for 14 years!

    • @user-bl1ne3ji3d
      @user-bl1ne3ji3d 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The video is giving you an idea, but it's worth thinking carefully about what's being said (whether it's labour, conservative, or even something that's not political). All the commenter is saying is dividing the numbers doesn't make sense. I'm not saying Labours numbers add up, you wouldn't believe me if I said that (and honestly I haven't looked into it), but then don't believe a video that says they don't add up without thinking about it yourself. Otherwise you could be being deceived.

    The Tory party are still critical of Gordon Brown and the level of debt the Torys inherited. Brown saved the banking system by pouring huge amounts of money to prop them up. This investment saw the government become part owners of the banks. The Conservatives benefitted from this when the banks were in a position to buy back the shares. What did the austerity party do with this money? They gave it away in tax cuts for the rich.

      @honourthefire9182 he unbelievably lost office 2 yrs later when Clegg inexplicably handed the keys of No 10 to Cameron and Osborne, a decision that all todays problems can be directly attributed to. Austerity is still to blame for people losing their lives 14 yrs later. The windfall when the banks bought the shares back should have gone to the poor not the wealthy. These bankers have had their huge bonuses handed back to them by the present government. The same banks are holding back mortgages for first time buyers demanding large deposits inspite of conditions stated by Brown when he was PM. How you can criticise Brown after what he did and ignore what has happened since leaves me lost for words. Barack Obama tells a story at a meeting it was Brown who stood up and was the only person in the room that offered any ideas. He calls Brown the man who saved the West from financial chaos.

    if that figure was even true it's over 4 years the £2094 not 1 year. also the body that looked into that number (the treasury) said that the sources they had been provided to get that number over 4 years can't be used to properly calculate because they are assumptions provided to them by a conservative think tank so obviously the information wasn't independently sourced and its not the correct way to reach a conclusion.
    most working people know how to do their taxes so i don't know why the party thinks it makes sense to divide £18b/18M people. that's not how taxing works. people pay different tax rates so its a weird way to apply those numbers.
    even if the £2094 was true for everyone as a flat rate and forgetting the treasury suggested that the info provided was not a correct sourcing, being over 4 years that's £523 a year and divided by 12 months as an average that makes it £43 and 60 Pence a month. doesn't sound like much to pay to start sorting out the mess made. but again the numbers used conveniently forgets about tax brackets??
    was considering voting conservative but to be honest treating the public like idiots assuming we cant notice bogus stats is just an insult on top of all the others we've had to put up with. id rather put my vote to a party that doesn't feel the need gas light the public.

    What's funny about torys constantly parroting the 2000 pounds number is that on average every working class family is now four times that number worse off now than if we had kept up the economic momentum before they got into office and sold the country off to their mates.
    You think this will stop people from voting Labour but I'm sure most if not all working class families would take the hit to their income to feel secure that their children will be able to use an NHS that actually works, educated by a system that isn't guttted, and be protected by police that aren't constantly in the line of cuts (all been allowed to happen by the endless string of useless leaders weve had).
    Not surprising that the only thing the useless figure heads in power have left to appeal to is greed, for that is all they know
