Thank you for the detailed video …Bro .. I know I’m late to the game 😂 But how much 0 gauge did you need for the alternator wire run ???? Because I’m about to order from sky high and just needed to know how many feet ???
@@chukwuka419 thanks for hitting me up !!! I got it done now .. I ordered 11 feet of power wire and 5 ft of ground .. Yo im just trying to do 1500 rms amp and a single Skar evl 12 in my 16 GT. Would I need all of this ,or do you think just doing the big 3 is enough? My amp keep going in protect when the bass drops low, voltage drops to the lower 12s.
Wassup man I would recommend getting a second Battery either Kinetic Energy or XS Power and making sure your front battery is an AGM Battery as well and all wires are OFC Copper wires before doing the big 3 upgrade. Never get a capacitor though. This should fix the issue. Because the factory alternator, Front Battery, and Second battery will handle the low bass all day long. But make sure wires are copper though that's really important
@@FJTabb yeah they all should, I also changed the alternator to a Mechman alternator but I’ve never had issues running my multiple batteries as well too
@chukwuka419 thanks, I was wondering. I just ordered a big 3 upgrade and was wondering if it would even help if the the alternator was going to put out the same voltage. I think my stock alternator is enough for what I have, I plan on getting a XS 4700 battery as well.
Higher amperage allows for more accessories, the needy electric power steering racks in these cars, audio, voltage picky accessories etc. It will keep your voltage up as it has more amperage running through charging the battery. Don't quote me about amperage and voltage but pretty much just allows for more demand on the electrical system.

Nice

@@chukwuka419Do you know if all S550's have the pcm controlled alternators? If so was it a problem you had to deal with running multiple batteries?

Other than an audio system what are the benefits sorry to ask just needs to know lol

Yes good explanation!!!
Also better conductivity of your coil packs
