As a designer, we don’t run laptops on just battery power. We don’t sit in Starbucks designing… laptops have to be plugged in, so your gripes with the battery draining while using adobe suite or solideorks etc are irrelevant
Why plug in a laptop and go through the extra trouble of more cords when you can just have a desktop though and make the battery irrelevant if you're just staying stationary? The only real reason to get this laptop is if you plan on plugging it into an external monitor and using a plug at home, but that's basically a desktop so doesn't make much sense.
"Performance was smoother on an external display" - that's a very interesting point, and it's not related to the load on the power supply as you suggested. This is what the MUX switch is for, and I wonder if Victus 15 has it or not. The thing is that the internal display is routed through the integrated GPU, even when it's the discrete GPU that's rendering the image. This is a bottleneck that the MUX switch eliminates by directly connecting the screen to the Nvidia GPU. The HDMI port is also directly powered by the discrete GPU.

AH. This is my first time buying a gaming laptop and I'm completely lost. Don't know what to choose between ASUS TUF 15 and this. My heart is leaning towards the Victus now, but I also really like the ASUS TUF and the fact that it has RGB 😆 but of course that backlit keyboard can't be the deciding factor. I just need something that can easily handle heavy games and open-world games, while also looking as crisp as possible. I've been using an old Macbook from 2011, so I'm used to that crystal clear display. So good display, as close to that Macbook, AND performance is what I'm looking for.
I just need this laptop to run terraria, Minecraft and roblox pretty smooth (at least 60fps), and be able to run autocad good enough for my classes. My current computer runs Minecraft at 15 frames per second.
we can upgrade the ram to 64 gb but 16 or 32 gb would be sufficient. We can even upgrade the storage by adding M.2. This is one of the best eco laptops for gamers and work. No gaming laptop can work without battery and same goes for this too. 1650 is good for casual gamers but not for hardcore gamers.

What external cooling fan could I use for the HP Victus 15 laptop? I noticed that there were only two openings for the pre-installed fans. The rest of the underside is a fake vent.
@@PlanetGamz I would think not since the graphics are originally coming from the graphics card which can't create 4k in the first place. If that were the case everybody would just have integrated graphics and 4k tvs right?

Agreed I'd rather they make a CHROMEBOOK you could game on, and just put several tiny fans lol. It would be way more silent. That's why I don't game on laptops. Just my Desktop, PS5 and Series X. You don't realize how much you miss that silence until you do laptop gaming. Sadly ;o(

Seriously considering one of these lower end victus laptops. I can buy one at Argos, locally, for £560 but it only has a 256gb drive and i wonder if i could live with that? Otherwise it's the same laptop. I probably, realistically could live with it. I imagine i'd have maybe a couple of larger games (50-80gb) and some smaller ones which i often play which are often just between 2 to 6 gb. I don't really store much else and generally just have a few movies to watch so i think how big a hard drive do i really need? The laptop i have now was given to me ... a lenovo ideapad 3, 1.8 ghz Celeron, integrated intel UHD graphics (surprisingly good!) and a tiny teeny 128gb SSD and 4gb of ram. I love it but it just ain't powerful enough but i'm easily playing X2 -The Threat, Baldur's gate 2 enhanced edition, diablo 2, GTA San Andreas and of course 'Pharoah and Cleopatra' ... which has always played on practically anything. You mentioned 'Hearthstone' - I was trying to remember the name of that game and install it, so thanks 👍 I think Rimworld or Terraria might be stretching it a bit with just 4gb of ram. Could probably play Terraria on lower settings. Anyway so i'm trying to think realistically, what do i actually need from a gaming laptop for the games that i actually like to play and it's rare that i play AAA titles anyway and would something like a Victus with an i5 or ryzen 5 and 8gb ram actually be just right. I have £1000 to spend but really i'd quite like to buy an acoustic guitar also. Just trying to get the best bang for my buck and not buy a more powerful (and more expensive) laptop that i might not actually utilise fully. Great review by the way it really helped me think about this as a purchase.

Really weird that laptops are best when you get all the same peripherals that you use on a desktop, but hey, they're worth it 💅 Really surprised that the HP doesn't have a battery saver function, thought that limiting the charge used was industry standard. Only 800USD for this is surprising. That would have been only, what, 499USD last year?
its better you don't add ram from an old laptop. old laptop ram generally have low ram speed. make sure the ram mhz matches with the one preinstalled in the laptop
Sounds like a terrible idea. You'll have Windows crashing on you before anything worse than that occurs. Check for compatibility before you do so and if possible, just get a new stick instead.

Hey I was wondering, is this laptop really good for Sims 4 gaming with lots of mods and stuff installed? (Im mostly asking Sims players to answer this.)
Look, what i have discovered from a lot of victus reviews
If you want to play anything that is "demanding in battery" use it connected (if not you are seeing 1.5-2 hours in eco mode- i was playing wuthering waves for reference)
If not, actuvate the eco options and the thing will laat around 5 hours
Got it on sale for $479 today at Best Buy
everyone seems to be getting one, great deal
I got one too! One of my best purchases ever!
What external cooling fan could I use for the HP Victus 15 laptop? I noticed that there were only two openings for the pre-installed fans. The rest of the underside is a fake vent.
Is this laptop good for programming?
Brow scenerios are wild 11:38
So this doesn't do 4k out to a tv? Looking to get into pc gaming & eventually let go of my xbox series x but I love 4k on my lg cx oled tv.
I would not expect this to perform at 4k too well to be honest. I would he suspet
It only goes to 1080p, full hd
@@st3ve874 even outputting to my tv? I know the laptop screen only does 1080p but was wondering if im hooked to 4k oled tv
@@PlanetGamz I would think not since the graphics are originally coming from the graphics card which can't create 4k in the first place. If that were the case everybody would just have integrated graphics and 4k tvs right?
The way you lift the screen makes me anxious. Haha
it was supposed to lol
Is it more enough for Video Rendering / Editing ?
Yes it be fine better then a cheap notebook
That is a super cool gaming laptop, but it is not ergonomic. Ergotauri is making new one-of-a-kind ergonomic gaming laptops.
Can you connect it to a monitor?
Could this handle recording and occasionally streaming games like Minecraft and Valorant? And having multiple applications open at once i.e. discord and obs
can probably record while playing those games with diminished settings on both the game and software, probably wont be the best but you can get away with it, but it probably will struggle with streaming, especially with other programs open
Does the location of the on/off button bother you?
it did at first but you get over it lol
do yours coil whining a lot? mine is very very noisy and decided to return and to buy another brand
The laptop was decently loud for sure
Agreed I'd rather they make a CHROMEBOOK you could game on, and just put several tiny fans lol. It would be way more silent. That's why I don't game on laptops. Just my Desktop, PS5 and Series X. You don't realize how much you miss that silence until you do laptop gaming. Sadly ;o(
You can just get the Asus A15 laptop for just $899.99 on sale best buy, Yes I have one and wow for just doing normal casual youtubing with 10 tab opens thats it, The fan is Super silent and yet cool to the touch!
Like my old Lenovo yoga 3 14 inch notebook I5, that laptop gets warmer even though im just doing youtubing watching and jeez the fan gets loud.
Would this music be good for basic music production with little to no plug ins?
would this be ok to use for streaming my ps5 to twitch using obs with capture card ?
Might have some trouble honestly, might have to run low settings and go from there
The temperature for CPU is 90 C, Is it common in most gaming laptop?
90 celsius is a bit hot for gaming. Should be like 70-80. The laptop could be running hot on you.
How do you upgrade it do you have to take it apart and put something else in
yes you would have to open it up and swap parts
is 92c temp is good??
I got one for £699 with 16gb ram and a 12450 cpu. Not a bad deal
@@beastatkhd6293 Yeah that''s not bad and that's a decent cpu.
I ended up getting a Asus Vivobook for about £850. It haz a nice Ryzen 7 cpu, with integrated Vega 7 graphics, 16gb Ram. It's a bit more than i wanted to spend but i'm happy with it.
There is one that I’m looking at it has a i7 13700H 13th gen with a 3050 6gb gddr6 for 750 I think it’s an amazing price I’m going from an ryzen 7 2700x to hopefully that^
I know it sound random but I have this model and I tried any way possible in my field but I am stuck on either 40 hz or 60 hz and this laptop can handle 144hz idk what’s wrong can’t find that number anywhere in settings, ( even tried bios but can’t enable advanced mode )
Have you tried using NVIDIA control panel?
@@NoisyPixelNews yes sir and it’s only showing 3D settings not display
Can it support multiple monitors via the USB-c port?
Shouldn’t be an issue with the right adapter
Can it run Minecraft on medium or high settings? Or just the lowest?
Easily run it on any settings
Does his screen flicker (blurry) like old models? I looked at some reviews that reported this, but it seems to have been fixed.
My son has one and the Screen is IPS, so good angles, poor color gamut overall. Then again PC's aren't known for bright colored (accuracy) gaming. Sadly.
I have a question, does this only take lan cable? Can I connect it to my wifi without cables?
It def has WiFi or lan
Just a quick tip, remove the omen software, for some reason it's not optimized with victus 💀💀💀💀
is it still same for now?
My Victus has 52.5 battery. How will this battery serve me ? If I change the battery from 52.5 to 70 , will it be better.
I don't think ull will be able to upgrade to a bigger battery capacity
What's the battery backup of this laptop??
what do you mean by the "backup." It has one battery
@@NoisyPixelNews I mean upto how much hours it can run after full charge
@@mohanrana9425 1.5 - 2 hour

Just curious how would warzone do with this laptop im trying to work my way onto a full pc build and letting go of my consoles i wanna start with a laptop just to learn the basics of movement and things like that thanks
It can probably do warzone, but be prepared to have your whole hard drive consumed. Also, make sure you play with lowered settings or else you will have frame drop and unplayable lag. Also make sure the computer is plugged in when gaming high end games (AAA)
Who has this laptop? is it good for 3d modelling?
Specifications!?
I see that’s a newer model i have and how about screen wobble?
Can we expanded the storage?
No
Extra cooling pad is needed?
Won't make much difference honestly, just a few degrees. Gaming Laptops just don't have good cooling, no matter what type of thermals they use.
What about screen wobble?
#wobblyscreen
I bought this gaming laptop 144h 8g of memory the only thing that I don’t like is that my victims uses 60 memory when I open my laptop
hi can i use this laptop for studying in uni or the battery is so bad that it drain fast ?
battery is okay but i would worry about lasting for hours without a charger
@@NoisyPixelNewscan it last for about 5 hours without a charger ?
So this laptop canot be charged via USB C port????
No
@@NoisyPixelNews Do you know if the same is true for the hp victus 16 d0023dx?
I have a hp victus I notice for a 2022 laptop it dnt have hdr support or it's not trun on and if it does have hdr support how do I trun it on because I play cyber punk with out hdr this laptop is very lacking and can you recommen a laptop witch meets the victus price and power
it does have hdr but if you want to change color space, you would have to go into windows settings
@@NoisyPixelNews that's kinda werd that it dnt just have a option to trun on hdr I even noticed samething with more powerful hp omen
I always leave my laptop plugged so the battery doesnt rlly matter
Does it work if I download visual studios 2022 ? Or is it not compatible?
Don’t see why it wouldn’t work but I’ve never used it
yes and easily due to intel core i5 12450h
at 5:15 did he say rg 45 network port or is it a rj 45 network port
i probably meant J lol
I know this is random but how does this computer do for music production?
I’m sure it can get away with it granted the file doesn’t get massive with plugins and effects
@@NoisyPixelNewsdoes this laptop have a smooth moving cursor?
Does it lag for anyone else while scrolling?
I really am looking at this laptop to play only beamng drive on it, and I’m hoping that it can handle that big game for playing with the monster jam trucks mod
Really weird that laptops are best when you get all the same peripherals that you use on a desktop, but hey, they're worth it 💅
Really surprised that the HP doesn't have a battery saver function, thought that limiting the charge used was industry standard.
Only 800USD for this is surprising. That would have been only, what, 499USD last year?
Can I add ram to it with a spare stick I have from an old laptop?
Yes, you can add up to 64 gb ram. In command prod just type wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity. It will display max Ram capacity of your system.
its better you don't add ram from an old laptop. old laptop ram generally have low ram speed. make sure the ram mhz matches with the one preinstalled in the laptop
Sounds like a terrible idea. You'll have Windows crashing on you before anything worse than that occurs. Check for compatibility before you do so and if possible, just get a new stick instead.
Update* I added the ram from my old laptop and it’s been working fine (that older laptop had two sticks in it, the one I swapped to my new one was a stick I bought around two years ago to add to it’s already 8gbs)
Has to be DDR4, 3200 mhz at least. Won't really change framerates much though. Slightly.
How would this work for a regular laptop with no gaming. Just word processing. surfing the web and email most of the time.
great deal for that, 144hz screen is just nice at $479 right now
just bought this laptop for 689$ but my graphic card is RTX 3050 instead of GTX
Does it have Microsoft Window 11 ?
Boots with windows 11
What's the RAM upgrade max
32gb of ram with 16gb sticks
@@NoisyPixelNewscan we upgrade this laptop ram for 64gb ram?
@Noisy Pixel Hi Bro
Please assist how can I get my pc to run fifa23 smoothly. Hp victus 15 Ryzen 5 AMD RX 6500M. If possible can I give access to my pc remotely.
Just downgrade settings and plug the computer In to the charger, see if you have better frames and less lag
Noisy Pixel downgrade in game settings to medium or something, not high or ultra
I tried most things including your suggestion. I tried changing AMD Radeon software settings the gameplay still lags. Maybe there's something I'm not doing right.
Backlit keyboard & NVME extra slot is there?
Yes, it's in the video.
FN + F4 to activate backlit keyboard
