Fucking love that spinner rig the coated braids just aren't stiff enough and the inner isn't supple enough. Good to see Tom has really come into his own remember being in the junior championships when he whooped my ass 👍😂

Hi my colleague, I have a couple of questions about fishing I'm a beginner and so I'm interested in how best to hunt down the muddy ground and what I'm about to hunt for horns and which has brought them the most appealing and the flavors that I put into boile before fishing greeting from Croatia
what size pop up do you use with this rig ?
instructions on the back of crimp tool say dont do loops as it can slip ..is this correct Korda?

How many pounds do you have your drag set at when fishing with 12lb line? Love this video........
Alex Moralesdont set your drag with pounds. Have your drag loose on the holder then tighten your drag when you get a fish. If the fish pull loosen it so the fish can take line then tighten it to reel the fish in

Look like you have another swivel on the main line connected to boom is that right when you make it in the video there's no swivel apart from on the hook end

Why can't I find any buttercorn supreme for sale? Or am I doing the Internet wrong?

rig looks descent but isn't there a chance the hook could come away from the swivel? As it's only really kept in place by the kicker, as it could slip off the quick change swivvel?. I would prefer to use abit of heat shrink as you know that would keep it in place & less chance of it slipping off the swivel?

Jv the ring swivel clip takes quite a bit of force to open so once you put the hook on you crush it closed with pliers then cover it witb rather a kicker as video or shrink tube over it there's no chance you'll ever put enough pressure on it to pull and bend it back open or it to come open when playing a fish
trust i use this rig and it is something else caught alot of fish on it you can use snownman style on it as well

Can you still tie knots in the boom and it be strong. Don’t have to crimp it do ya ?
You can tie a knot like the perfection loop knot in the Boom fluorocarbon material.
will a 12mm pop up hold a size 4 up
Simon Abnett get a sticky baits 12mm popup then yes it will ;)
Should hold up for about 24hours but a wafter over particles doesnt hurt or you can add a small bit of coloured foam below the pop up fot peace of mind

I've tied this rig and for some reason the safe lead clip either doesn't drop the lead no matter how much I shake it , or it drips it but also ejects the bottom of the clip leaving me just the first section to the swivel ....???any advice much appreciated ....

Carl Harris are you pulling the swivel into the clip until it clicks? More saliva on the clip and push the tail rubber on the first couple of ridges.

I enjoyed this. BUT, Tom showed us his prefered particles, but, fished with pop ups.

carp love salt "before" they spawn not after
and not table salt.
gym rat no tom had it right! But yes they crave the salt pre and post spawning. And any salt will suffice as long as the sodium content Is high. Although rock or sea salt does have a higher mineral content for sure!
