I just did my spinning wheel! In Teacher Matt's channel I saw several games using the spinning wheel and wanted to make one but had no idea how. Thank you so much, dear Teacher Val. My student will love it ❤️
I'm happy you have learned it! "Don't give people fish; rather, teach them how to fish for themselves." This way, everyone wins, and, hopefully, we have a brighter tomorrow. 😉
Thank Teacher Val. I am so happy I found your channel. I am an ESL teacher in Cancun, Mexico and with all these resources and ideas i´m getting from you my students are becoming more and more engaged. Thanks for helping me come out of the rut I was in!!!
Thank you, Paopao!!! I created this channel to help my fellow teachers all around the world and I am very happy to see that my hard work bears fruit! :))
Thank you so much for this video. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I was able to add the wheel to a game I made for my students and it worked perfectly!!
Thankyou teacher Val for giving us these phenomenal ideas for curating resources for teaching. Your teaching ideas, techniques, strategies, rules and of course the PPTs are outstanding. I want to learn how you make those PPTs. Coz they look reallly cool and fun but i know it is not easy to make. Thankyou tons.
Thank you, June, for taking the time to write such a meaningful comment. I am uploading the videos where I share my ideas, techniques, and strategies. Please use them in your classes. At the end of the day, our students are the ones who benefit from what we - teachers - do, and that's all that matters.
Hi Mr. Val. 😀 I watched this video when you uploaded it. And, I "received it". Let's say - ok, done. I wanted to make that wheel using my pictures and I started to watch this video again. If you make it using some pictures, you need to make it new one everytime. So, I changed my mind and I made it with numbers 1-6 and I will use it instead of the dice. I start to teach my kids transportation words and there are sentences "Let's go by car/ bus/ plane..." When we finish we will play the game "around the world". You need world map, some game pieces (magnets or something like that) and one dice. The rule is simple, from North America to Australia using six types of transportation from the dice. Teams need to roll the dice, say the corresponding sentence and move their magnet. Of course, from South America to Europe and from Asia to Australia you can go only by plane or boat. 😀 I prepared this game in my presentation and I had a plan to use a real dice. But now, I have "a dice" in my usb too, so it is more convenient. 😀 And of course, I can use it everytime for every lesson or another game. Thanks Mr. Val. 🍨
Clear instructions. Your tutorial enhances my knowledge in using ppt. Thank you😊 asking permission to use your video presentation in mentoring my colleagues.
I bought Powerpoint this year and my Graph editor is very different and super unintuitive compared to the one you have. Any ideas on how to get your version back?
Thank you so much Val. I'm making my spinning wheel right now. I don't know how to put photos on the spinning wheel (to illustrate the labels). When I tried to put photos on it, the photos didn't spin with wheel. Can you help me :)
Thank you so much, teacher Val! I am able to follow all the steps. It all work! One thing though: my wheel does not spin smoothly. It continously spins but staggers. How do I make it spin continously smoothly? I use Macbook by the way😢
Hi Lilet! I need to see it before I can tell you what an issue is. It works fine on a Windows computer. There may be technical limitations or differences in the architecture of the Mac and Windows operating systems that affect the functionality of PowerPoint.
It shouldn't stop at the same number. I can't tell you if you did anything wrong without seeing it. Why don't you try making it again? If nothing works, leave me your email here, and I'll send it to you. :)
Great! I have a question, is it possible to add a button to "refresh" (meaning a button that if you click on it, your wheel goes back to initial orientation)? Thank you very much!
Hello teacher, I found that the wheel always starts rotating from its original position while the button is clicked. It is possible to make it start from where it was paused?
I am not sure if I can help without seeing it. Also, IMHO, it doesn't matter what position it starts rotating from because it's up to you when to stop it.
Hi Jen, it was done on windows. I am not sure why it is not working properly on a mac. Leave me your email here, and I'll send you a slide with a spinning wheel. See if it works on your computer.
It's probably a different MS Office version or different OS. It works on a Windows computer with MS Office 2019 and higher. My friend has a Mac and it works on it too.
Hi, I had same problem cause I tried to make the wheel without watching the video, but it's important to follow carefully every step in the animations and it will work.

No idea, sorry!! If I were you, I would google it.
Amazing tutorial - thank you so much, perfectly explained and exactly what I wanted!
Happy to hear that! 👍
Thanks! I have a question, teacher. You get minus one point(singular) vs. minus one points(plural). Which is correct?
I would say, "You lose/win one point". :)
@@Teacher-Val Thank you, teacher Val!
Thanks...and just keep going in education
THANKS FOR YOUR INTRUCTION TO MAKE SPIN WHEEL! I'm so happy to make it by mydelf to use in my lesson for my sts!

I love using this, but how do you edit the data in the wheel once finished?
You don't. To edit the data, you would have to make it again. 😉
This is perfect! Thank you very much.
Thank you very much, Mariposa! I appreciate it.

@@Teacher-Val On a Mac when you do the 2nd click it stops the slideshow but the only way the animation works is when you start the slideshow.
@@NikulThakkar Hmm... I don't know what the issue is. Everything works fine on Windows. It must be something related to iOS or PowerPoint version.
