Yes, i can understand that the bed situation can take over actually enjoying the trail, which is a shame. Im loving watching your hike. I get excited when the new one emerges on my feed
It would not be worth it - wild camping in Spain is illegal and because the albergues are so cheap - it's not worth carrying the weigh of a tent, just in case. that's just my opinion. I would not camp on the caminos and I do a lot of camping!!!
That sucks you have to worry so much about getting a bed. I can see where that would definitely take away from the experience. Thanks for exposing that reality. On the Portuguese Way, that wasn’t as much of an issue. Must have been amazing to get there so early on this day.
I think I just wasn't prepared for how busy it was - especially as I thought I was going at a quieter time of year. I loved the Camino Portuguese I did it in 2019 and really enjoyed it and from memory don't think I had any issues with getting a bed. It was so good getting there early. It was a like a full on rest day!! Which is good for the body and the mind - it allows you to reset everything. thanks so much for watching the vlogs and taking the time to comment.
@@toughgirlchallenges While I was on the Camino Portuguese I heard so many good things about the Frances way, but now that I’m following along with you and others, everyone on the Frances way seems to be having the same crowded experience. Crowds are definitely not for me. I love the social nature of the Camino, but there is definitely a point where too many people is just too many. I think for my next Camino, I’m going to choose something different. Not sure what yet. At any rate, we’ll see how things develop as I follow along. Hopefully things get quieter as you go along.
@@DaysWellTraveled I understand - I've actually just finished the Camino Primitivo - which was wonderful - I did it in September - very few pilgrims, but enough to meet people and for it to be a nice experience. The walking and the views were incredible. those vlogs will be out in December and I'd recommend checking that out as an alternative - it's a lot shorter - but a stunning walk

👍 The scenery looks lovely Sarah. Is camping possible?
