Hi I just stumbled upon your video...Awesome....I was 2 yrs old when Barbie came out....and you are right, I waited until I was in my late 40's when I started collecting..I had to reply on the internet for my research.....But ironically, I remembered the first years of barbie, she has a unique smell unlike no other (crayons to be exact.).. Happy collecting. I had all the originals...then got interest in boys in the 70's and gave them away... stupid me...However, I did get my hands on Pony tail #2 barbie,,,then I regrettably sold Miss Sleep eye....You have to really be careful when buying the 60's outfits...they have unique labels that can not be duplicated......Glad you are collecting.

I found your video in my research of trying to find good barbie reference guides-on eBay they don’t show any of the inside of books so it’s hard to tell the difference between them. I will definitely have to pick up the accessories book- I like that same authors “vintage doll” book which goes over outfits

There is a Barbie accessory book that has belts, shoes, flowers, socks, etc. It helps you match them to outfits. It's called Barbie Accessories.
