    Thanks. I tried this out and it worked well, even though the UI was a bit frustrating when trying to make customizations. Is there a fully manual (i.e. using SQL*Plus in bash) procedure documented somewhere? I looked at the generated script -- and it looks like a lot of stuff is going on in there. If the process is not documented, I guess will have no choice but to study the generated script.

      If you were going to do it from command line, I'd use dbca in command mode not generated scripts.

      @@DatabaseDude Will try this, but I was hoping to have a clear idea of what scripts are needed. Thinking back to the time when we just ran catalog.sql, catproc.sql and so on.

      @@cliffmathew If you run dbca and then choose *not* to include datafiles, then you'll get the "good ol" list of all the scripts that get run
