That‘s what i‘ve been looking for. Had them all, Fm3,Quad Cortex,Kemper..Excellent devices, but i spent more time tweaking than playing. The Friedman pedal sounds awesome❤ By the way, superbe playing🤘🏽
One thing I love about listening to your Channel is the sounds and tones and the style of your p l a y i n g you get of all the same tones equipment is
Oh crap I was trying to back that up and hit the send button but what I was trying to say is that you get the same exact sounds and tones that I here in my head and reproduce it's uncanny but they're pretty close to identical and you're playing is always a pleasure to listen to and all the demos are great and informative and the sound is over the top
I love this thing... of course, I have to get one of the Custom Shop versions to go along with my Friedman Surf Green Vintage S Heavy Relic. My BE-100 OD Pedal works great with my amps for those small gigs with a combo... but this as a studio and Fly Rig to FOH situation... it's a no brainer! Goes without saying... THIS... IS... IT! 😎🤘🎸
What a cool piece of gear. I love that Dave is releasing products that offer his signature sounds at more attainable price point. What can I say about the playing? You kill it every time. I would love for you to write some music with a full band.
it would be even more exciting for me to hear mike soldanos opinion on the friedman modded slo since this is his all mighty flagship amp. if these two amp gurus could have an online conersation about that on your channel, your algorithm would go nuts about that for sure 🎸🎸
Can you use it as a preamp with the power amp simulation but without a cab IR? The use case would be running the preamp into a solid state power amp driving a cab.
Hello Michael, thank you very much for this great demo! You are a fantastic guitar player and musician, the intro song sounds completely amazing! Thanks again and all the best!!
Again....your videos have become a stable in my daily views for new music equipment but even more than that is your sick ass playing !!!! Wow Wow Wow 👌
So.... I could insert this preamp in the amp loop of my Synergy and be able to switch between my Synergy Vai module and this preamp by hitting the bypass switch on the Synergy footswitch, right?
So now what do I go with? This just made it more difficult. Friedman IR-X (con not a 100w nano amp/may or not need a power amp $$ if I ever want to mic a cab) or Blue Guitar Amp 1 Iridium (no IR cab/XLR to FOH & IEM system so need to buy that) or Blackstar Dept 10 Amped 3 (heard IRs are not that good)???? My main lead guitar player plays the real miced-out Bogner amp so I don't feel the need to carry amps since I only play a few songs and I am the lead singer. Live/small clubs: Guitar -> pedal board /amp pedal solution -> Splitter to IEM system & FOH (need) Guitar -> pedal board /amp pedal solution -> 2x12 cab -> Splitter to IEM system & FOH (nice to have just in case) Which of the 3 pedals above would you go with?
They're all great. So in a nutshell. IR-X is classic BE100 Friedman. The IR-D is fatter, with nice clean fat clean tones, a little more classic vibes. IR-J is sharper and faster more Marshall JCM800.
Thanks for this video. Stellar playing! Do I really need this? No, if I'm completely honest. But do I want it? YES. It seems to be what a modern JMP-1 could be. I'm simplifying what I use and this together with a H9 could do all I need.
Been coming across your channel a lot when I am searching about these amps lately (the Friedmans and the Tone King amongst others) and I have to say I love your reviews and your playing. I do have a question though about this Friedman. Say if I did want to run the balanced out to the mains or an audio interface and run the effects send to somewhere else to run through a live cab, does the send have to go into an amp head or combo's effect's return? Can the effects send run from the Friedman IR-X run into an input of a power amp like some of the power amp pedals out there or a seymour duncan powerstage, quilter or similar? I want to downsize my live rig eventually but yet still be able to monitor off a live cab while sending a signal to the board. Thanks!
Just a quick question: Have you tried the Friedman amps on the Ampero stage 2? If so how do they compare? I know they are two completely different units but I was just wondering if I get the Ampero it would close enough to the IR-X?
You sound awesome here as usually Michael. You test out all the best gear that comes out. Where do I go to find out which gear, of the gear you test out you actually use/keep because it's indispensable for you personally?
Mike if I use a barefaced frfr cab from Uk or just a regular barefaced cab how can I put a Wampler ethereal pedal and a one control blue monger in a loop if I am using it as a cab on stage behind me and to the notorious sound man that says turn it down hahaha!!!!!!
LOVE DT! All of Scott's riffs are deceptively tricky. I always miss something. The way he plays them always has some extra harmony note in them that makes it extra cool.
I was wondering when amp companies would start making hybrid products like this and here they are.I felt like analog cabinet and amp simulation technology went as far as possible and it never sounded very good to me.Marrying Tube front ends to digital amp and cabinet modeling seems to be the way.
Dude, you're on an entirely DIFFERENT level. I never say this to YTers, but I'd happily buy your music.
I've said the same.
Apparently he's working on an album of these intro songs.

As a bedroom player, this is the product I have been wanting. Premium tone without fighting the volume beast.
Please ignore ALL communications from TELEGRAM! Those are spam.
It's got that KERRANG going on big time!
That‘s what i‘ve been looking for. Had them all, Fm3,Quad Cortex,Kemper..Excellent devices, but i spent more time tweaking than playing. The Friedman pedal sounds awesome❤

Hey Michael Landau at 18:00 😊I‘m buzzed 😜
Yeah that unit definitely encompasses a lot of Freedmen's amps especially his new Plexi
My favorite Marshall style player ! You got rock in your soul man.
One thing I love about listening to your Channel is the sounds and tones and the style of your p l a y i n g you get of all the same tones equipment is
That solo that stars from approx. 1:31 is simply jaw-dropping.
So I finally got one & sweet Jesus of Christ! This is the tone I have been searching years for. It's the touch dynamics that does it for me.
Thanks Mike. I got one now I don’t have to wear out my JJ jr head. Thanks
I heard Queen Of The Nile riff!! Bravo!!
You're getting some some great tones, not to mention some great playing!
Your Gibson burst looks exactly like mine- mine is the 59 RI love that guitar plays and sounds fantastic
Mine just arrived Monday!! Unparalleled feel from a pedal!! It's just ridiculous!! Combined with Boss MS-3 for effects and midi controller. Superb
What's in the box? WHAT'S IN THE GODDAMN BOX!?
What's in the box!!??
They've really thought about everything! Great piece of gear both for the stage and the studio.
People don’t realize this pedal board preamp is great even channel 1 clean to crunch with just your guitar volume. It’s better than my JJ jr head!!!!
Ok, now I'm absolutely positive what I want to run into my amp 1 iridium. That thing is amazing....love it's tube.
I think my old Randall RM4 into this thing will be a powerful force. Oh yes.
Kick ass playing my man! 🤘🏽 That preamp sounds great too.
That channel 1 boosted is tasty
Awesome demo and great playing. That Shabat Strat is sick!
oh, man. the clean with boost is so creamy and gorgeous sounding.
revisiting the video, what an insane tone machine.
Great video, as always and I just got my IR-X!!
I love this thing... of course, I have to get one of the Custom Shop versions to go along with my Friedman Surf Green Vintage S Heavy Relic. Sounds great. I mean, what else to expect? 🙂 I will still patiently wait for more Synergy modules to come.
it would be even more exciting for me to hear mike soldanos opinion on the friedman modded slo since this is his all mighty flagship amp. if these two amp gurus could have an online conersation about that on your channel, your algorithm would go nuts about that for sure 🎸🎸
Got one. Friedman for the win on taking my sound on the road!
Some Lynch' inspired playing in this one sounds like...fantastic sounding.
Whenever you demo Dave's stuff, they always seem to elevate your game and bring out more Monkey Faces!
HAHA! Thanks! 🐒
yes please I have another order of that tone
Man this is a game changer!👍🏾
Michael, that solo... you sound inspired. That was great!
1:20 channeling your inner Reb Beach!
Can you use it as a preamp with the power amp simulation but without a cab IR? The use case would be running the preamp into a solid state power amp driving a cab.
Yes, you can run it that way
Dude killer tones/playing as always
Hello Michael, thank you very much for this great demo! You are a fantastic guitar player and musician, the intro song sounds completely amazing! Thanks again and all the best!!
Do the IR's function on the headphone out?
That flame maple neck is sick
Again....your videos have become a stable in my daily views for new music equipment but even more than that is your sick ass playing !!!! Wow Wow Wow 👌
Thank you Tony! Appreciated!
DOOOOPE!!! Dave killed it again! The chops are kicking ass too🤘🤘
if boutique makes this then i expect to see soldano, vht, etc versions of this?
Great, great demo! 🎉
I just picked one of these up. Can’t wait for it to arrive!
niiiiiice!
Will it chug? Yes it will!
I would like to hear comparison side by side with Friedman amp like be100 with this pedal through power amp of that amp
Hope Soldano and Bogner also releases preamps! :)
So.... I could insert this preamp in the amp loop of my Synergy and be able to switch between my Synergy Vai module and this preamp by hitting the bypass switch on the Synergy footswitch, right?
Tone in hands, nothing else!
Michael what is that crazy guitar you're using the neck is really cool looking
Thanks. That's a Shabat Lion made here in LA. The flame on that neck is insane!!! :)
What a perfect intro song!!!
Gnarly. I thought a BE-OD was monstrous in the front of a 100w Marshall, I gotta try this for a pre amp!
Which of the 3 pedals above would you go with?
kemper slayer !
Yikes! That thing is the business! Great demo Michael as always!
very nice composition
This friggin guy has the most awesome instrumentals to the videos. Dude rocks. BTW love that LA Dodgers hat.
So what’s your preference between the R and the J? Which do you like best?
They're all great. So in a nutshell. IR-X is classic BE100 Friedman. The IR-D is fatter, with nice clean fat clean tones, a little more classic vibes. IR-J is sharper and faster more Marshall JCM800.
Amazing playing, thank you.
WOw! Thanks!
Ordered and will be in my hands tomorrow. THIS IS IT! 😊

The algorithm is very unkind to this man awesome content and playing.
AMEN brother! AMEN! 🤘🤣
Can you put the IR-X in to IR-D, if you can that be awesome.

Sounds awesome. Now to convince Dave to offer a limited edition rack version. ;-)
How does it compare to your synergy Friedman, awesome videos by the way, and awesome playing
Amazing Demo and playing Bought one hopefully to get it by the weekend. cheers
Thanks a lot, how do you compare with Synergy Be delux ? The sound and feeling … Thanks a lot !
Better!
Damn. You've got the creative juices flowing. Fantastic intro.
You should make some backing tracks available for us! Sounds so great
Haha man you just always get the best rock tones on TH-cam.
when you are conecting trs balanced out to your interface or mixer, do you use 1/4 ts or trs cable?
Cleans ?
Can I run through daw and run other effects to front of house !
Noisy ! ?
MAD riffs
You sound awesome here as usually Michael. You test out all the best gear that comes out. Where do I go to find out which gear, of the gear you test out you actually use/keep because it's indispensable for you personally?
yes please
Awesome Playing. Love your intros.
Channel 2 is very old school VH sounding in a good way
Just got your impulse responses. The best I tried so far! possibility to make a G12m/G12H blend in the future?
thanks man
Thanks!!!! I would like to to that. Maybe an open back as well.
Mike if I use a barefaced frfr cab from Uk or just a regular barefaced cab how can I put a Wampler ethereal pedal and a one control blue monger in a loop if I am using it as a cab on stage behind me and to the notorious sound man that says turn it down hahaha!!!!!!
Can you use this with a digital power amp and cabinet?
Man, what a great way to put a smile on my face! Amazing playing and tones as always! Thank you!
Damn this is tempting! Love to compare it to my JVM410 to hear the difference
this is your best intro yet!
Mike if I use the send out can I put delay put a delay pedal and chorus between it?
Or do I lose that capability
As I am building my pedalboard, how would I use this with an Line 6 HX stop or helix? Thanks!
Great playing my friend!
Dude! Dangerous Toys, Queen of the Nile! Awesome stuff!
LOVE DT! All of Scott's riffs are deceptively tricky. I always miss something. The way he plays them always has some extra harmony note in them that makes it extra cool.
QUEEN OF THE NILE!!!!!!
I just said the same thing! Hadn't gone past the opening song here before. Glad to see some love for Dangerous Toys, that first album is a monster.
Hey Man, How about Combining This with the Ampero II as small Affordable Pedalboard type rig
you rock and great demo! DT riff!!!!!
I was wondering when amp companies would start making hybrid products like this and here they are.I felt like analog cabinet and amp simulation technology went as far as possible and it never sounded very good to me.Marrying Tube front ends to digital amp and cabinet modeling seems to be the way.
Is there a way to hook this to a stereo power amp say a Marshall 9000 50/50
This is badass
Amazing! I want to buy it please can you suggest me how can I use it with Yamaha Thr 30?
If you use a 1/4” to 1/8” cable. Plug out of IRX into AUX IN of the Yamaha. Now the Yamaha can work as the powered speaker for the IRX
Wow thanks! I hope that the flat mode works too so I can use effects of thr 30
