The Bee Gees for ever. ANDY was very gorgeous and handsome young guy. He dressed beautiful, I missed him, may his soul rest in peace, his is in good place with his families.
There are 5 or 6 different versions of this song with their own video ... search for them ... you won’t be disappointed ... also check out Samantha Sang ... she performed a song in association with the BeeGees “Emotion “
What a beat. The Bees Gees did disco with a soul Grove. Their music was relevant in all decades.... musically, talented song writing geniuses. My all time favourite group.
Yes! I literally got chills dancing around to this while memories flooded. One of my favorite songs by the Bee Gees's, but then again, they are all my favorite!..😊. Keep em comin'!
In 1978 The Bee Gees had 3 songs in the top ten. They were How Deep Is Your Love, Stayin' Alive, and Night Fever and suffice it to say that they had more than 30 Top 40 records, nine of which went to #1.
There's an interview with Barry on TH-cam that is pretty heart wrenching. It was done not long ago and two times during the interview he got emotional (understandably being the last surviving brother). But he said something very important that at the time of each brother's death, he wasn't "getting on" with them. They had had disagreements and weren't getting along and then died. So you never know when you're going to lose a loved one and if you are estranged with someone you love or have lost touch, get in touch, forgive and spend time because life is way too short. We never know how long we have.
The Bee Gees were the first concert I ever went to. I was 13 years old in the early 80's. Disco was 'OUT', but it is still "Stayin' Alive" for me! So happy to know that the younger generation can appreciate true talent and artistry.👍🏻👍🏻
Did you see THAT SMILE at about 1:05 min. in????????????? I like how you like the Bee Gees..... Thanks for this review, Jay!!!! Take care and be well. Peace.
@@Kerppu68 You don't know what you're talking about, it's an ARP2600 synthesizer in unison with the bass guitar played by Maurice who came up with the funky bassline.
"Jive Talking" was a song on the 1977 Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100. It also reached the top-five on the UK Singles Chart in the middle of 1975. Largely recognized as the group's "comeback" song. It was their first US top-10 hit since "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" in 1971.
You're absolutely right you put on some Bee Gees and you can't help but feeling good. Great music. Thank you so much for your reactions, I'm addicted to them.
I love the BeeGees and always have, they never stayed with just the one type of music, and their range is wonderful in my eyes. Try listening to some of Robin Gibb's solos, Carousel is one of my favourites. I can't remember the songs I love as its gone 2.30 am here and I am in pain but I thought I would listen to you and watch your reactions for a while. Thank you Jayvee, your love of music is fantastic. Take care my friend and stay safe please Peace to you Mary-Ellen UK
I watched a Biography of the Bee Gees, Barry said the main beat of this song was the rhythmic sound the tires made crossing the bridge on the way to the studio. Cool finding neat info on these awesome songs! Luv ya J! Thanks for the smiles! 😁💖
Love your smile!! Everytime we see it, we know you're listening to something awesome. I'm 49 and have been a Bee Gees fan for a long time. Thanks for the posts!
I never understood all the pushback to disco....it was fun, happy, made you want to dance, kept us all in decent shape so that 40 became the new 30 hahahahaha. I was blessed to live those years and enjoy it as it all came out. It was a fabulous time to be a teenager!
Hey Jayvee! Check out Our Love " Don't throw it all away" sung by the Bee Gees and Andy Gibbs! It's a beautiful song! " "Love You Inside Out " and " I Surrender " by Bee Gees too! Thanks for the good reaction!
My favorite ever Bee Gees song! This is perfection and if you can sit still during this you need to check your pulse. I play this as a celebration when I’m really happy or excited. Top down on my mini blasting the BeeGees is the best! ❤️❤️
sadly the only one of the gibbs brothers still alive is barry - lead vocals and guitar. they all passed way too early. amazingly started in 1958 and had a ton of top hits in the mid 60's and then really struck gold in the late 70's disco scene with this song and other huge hits
I have been listening to The Brothers Gibb for over 45 years. I love your sincere reactions when you listen to one of their songs. It's like I get to enjoy them for the first time all over again too. Cheers!
This is a comeback song after about 4 years. The rhythm came from the sound of driving across the bridge over Biscayne Bay in Miami. Thump thump thump thump
Right on! 💃Anybody else wait til their adult kid leaves the house 2 go full Soul Train chair dancing 2 this fave ?? 😜 No? Just me? Oh well- I had fun anyway!🤣✌❤
Just pure raw talent This is when people had to really sing. There was no autotune. The whole family was amazing. They're the older brothers of Andy Gibb. The only one that didn't play an instrument, write songs and sing was their sister Leslie.
The song Nights On Broadway (1975) is maybe my favorite Bee Gees song, a huge hit for the band also. Their little brother Andy Gibb also had songs worth checking out like Shadow Dancing (1978) and Our Love Don't Throw It All Away (1978). The song Tragedy (1979) is also a great Bee Gees song. :)
I grew up hearing them on the radio. But I wasn't a huge fan. I was more of a rock & roll fan than this style disco of the time. I didn't appreciate how talented they were until TH-cam came along and I re-listened to some of their stuff! Their harmonies were amazing!
This is who I grew up with - my high school years. My very first concert ever was the Bee Gees at a sold-out Dodger Stadium. I also was lucky enough to see there last big tour back in 1989, second row center, at Universal Amphitheatre. I'd love to hear your reactions to their songs "Tragedy" and "Boogie Child."
Barry said in an interview that the beginning sound they got from going over a bridge, and the sound was the inspiration for those parts in the song. Thank you so much for reacting to the Bee Gees!!
Javon I enjoy your reactions you give a authentic wide eyed enthusiasm to the music you react too. Keep up your appreciation of the the 70's music the greatest music ever created. A fan. Jimmy Padgett Ohatchee Alabama
I loved Rock and Disco. There was room for both so I never understood people rebelling against disco. The Bee Gees will live on forever because the music is amazing!
Wow! Another great one, bringing back the memories! Used to dance-skate to this doing a lot of fast foot-work, in sync with the clapping ... once again, thanks for bringing back those memories!
That's a slightly shortened edit of the song for the video. The album version goes on a bit longer. The opening scratched guitar riff was inspired by a bridge that Barry Gibb used to drive over every day on his way to the group's recording studio in Miami. It was a metal deck bridge that gave off a certain sound and rhythm when driven over at a certain speed.
I remember, back in the 70s when the mass market radio stations flooded the airwaves with disco, at the expense of other genres -- there was a backlash. It all happened very fast -- disco was everywhere, then nowhere. But I still love it, and the Bee Gees were amazing. Unreal harmonies. Andy Gibb too, though we lost him way too soon. It is nice to see someone hear this music for the first time, takes me back.
You can probably find a disco mix that’s much longer. Watching you is like spending time with a friend in these fraught times. Keep it up and stay safe!
The memories this evokes.... love main course - one of my very favorites bee gee albums. Yes the people want more . Please react to “for whom to bell tolls “ something special from their next iteration 😊
I just discovered you and I gotta say I absolutely LOVE YOU ALREADY!!!!! I can’t stop smiling watching you smile. These past few months especially this week have been very sad for all of us. I haven’t enjoyed watching anybody as much as you in a long time! Lol, you had me at Bee Gees. Thanks for appreciating ALL types of music. Can’t wait to introduce you to my friends. Keep flashing that adorable smile!!!!!!!
A bit of trivia about this song: They got that opening beat from the sound the car they were in made as they drove over a bridge and started writing the song almost immediately.
I think it was Maurice who said that the initial thumping that then continues through the song came from the rhythmic sounds he heard the car making while driving across a large bridge. Interesting, and wow, inspiration comes from the wildest things!
I am a huge BeeGees fan and I have been all of my life! To me the are a soundtrack to my life and they were one of the greatest contributions to music in all of history.
I love this one! But then, I love ALL the Bee Gee's music! It's so great to see YOUR reaction, and know that you're liking their music as much as we who were around when it first came out, did. Thanks for checking this one out. Can't wait to hear more of them, here.
Barr y got this groove when they were driving in thier tour van. They were driving over a suspension bridge. The tires were going over the expansion joints.. Boom, Boom Boom Boom.
I'm pleasantly suprised how well this group stood the test of time, so close to the dangerous commercial sounds required for top 40. But they're GREAT! Bought this LP when first pressed. Rebuilt quite an extensive clean, scratchless collection of original vinyl, and proud of it!
Yessss! Thank you!! Love this and knew you would too! I requested it and I'm sure others did too!!' No way you don't groove with this playing- ❤️💛🕺🏻💃🏻🤘🏼✌🏼

Glad to hear some love for Maurice, He seems to get overlooked a lot.
Yea.. how can anyone not wanna groove to this
@Judi Dipillo sameee 😂😂
Smooth groove in fact !
I know that's right!
What a beat. The Bees Gees did disco with a soul Grove. Their music was relevant in all decades.... musically, talented song writing geniuses. My all time favourite group.
You can listen to any and every song they ever wrote and sang, no bad ones. Every song is a winner. I miss them so much
All of their songs are just full of love and energy. Just love them. Still sad and missing Robin, Maurice and Andy today. Long live Barry

So many Bee Gees songs to choose from you win again is a great song. Love Bee Gees.

You will never go wrong with these guys ever. This is from 1975. Aaahh the good old days.
That's it!!! This music will make your feet go to the beat!!! So happy you like it!!!
"Nights On Broadway" is a must listen. Treat yourself, and treat us to a reaction to this gem. Thank you young man.😊
What a great music era...there are no bad Bee Gees songs. 🥰
I love your reaction to the Bee Gee’s. Maurice said this song was a good toe-tapper. When I get bad headaches I will listen to their slower songs🥰🥰🥰
The Bee Gees were the first concert I ever went to. I was 13 years old in the early 80's. Disco was 'OUT', but it is still "Stayin' Alive" for me! So happy to know that the younger generation can appreciate true talent and artistry.👍🏻👍🏻
i love that song...still have the '45. You Should Be Dancing was another huge song from them..
I remember buying this 45. I wish I still had mine!! 💖

Yeeaaassss!!!

Yeah, Mo was the king of cool here.
Like they say with any Bee Gees track, it’s like lighting a fuse, standing back and just letting it explode your senses.
And it came BEFORE Saturday Night Fever, paving the way for the brothers to move away from ballads and into dance music.
When Barry was driving across a bridge the tires hitting the cracks made a beat that he liked. That's the beat at the beginning of the song.
TRAGEDY you need to hear this one from the Bee Gees too
Yes! This one.
Yes! TRAGEDY is their best song in my opinion 👍
For sure!!!
Yeah! If I could just find it!!! (Reactionary of course )
The best! Tragedy.
Bee Gees have the GROOVE babe !!! So happy you like them😘😘

It really does my heart good to see you sincerely enjoying this “old school” music. It was the music of my youth and I loved it. 🤙🌺

I love the Bee Gees and this has been a fav for a long time. But then I grow up in the 70s and 80s.
FAVORITE BeeGees song since I was 7! Followed by "Nights On Broadway"!
Bee gees “love you inside out”
I have been listening to The Brothers Gibb for over 45 years. I love your sincere reactions when you listen to one of their songs. It's like I get to enjoy them for the first time all over again too. Cheers!
The first notes came from them riding across a bridge in Miami! It's amazing how they hear a sound and then the words come later!
How do you know this girl here had a good childhood? Grew up with parents that played the Bee Gees alllll the time. Love watching you enjoying them!

One of their best! 💕
Yes! That bass line is one of my favorites! Love that syncopation.
You'll love "Warm ride", "Love so right", "If I can't have you", "Love you inside out"...
My son is 22, and this is his favorite song.
When I was living in Los Angeles in the 80's, I knew only Andy Gibb, on solid gold, then later I had about his brothers. They all fantastic.
Sounds like a mini Moog synthesizer taking most of the bass line. And that off-beat snare hit is what sets this groove apart.
So glad you liked it. Definitely a favorite. Best wishes.
The rhythm of the song came from the sound their tires made going through a long old covered bridge on the way to the recording studio each day

The coolest song ever. It doesn't end where the video ends
I never knew that MG was that good on bass.Very decent playing.
I'm so happy that you are digging this awesome band
