They sometimes use soldering
Theres many better way it can be done but economic factor is very important thing. Very good thing could still means nothing to us if we cant afford it in the first place. I see you could make some improvement here and there, like in your handling of sensitive fluids which will cost you nothing more, just a little bit care. Its a pleasure watching you do these things in a very simple affordable way, and I wish you health. Love from India
Thank You So much For your Compliment❤️🥰. Your Positive Comments Make our strength😇
Hello dear friends I'm giving nough respect because I rate for the junction box you are bright too is that for me thank indian😊😊😊
It always amazes me how these guys work with their bare hands to manufacture and rebuild things without hi tech tools and modern convenience. 💯💥👍👍
Thanks for your compliment.🥰

If WW3 ever breaks out, I hope India chooses our side. Pretty sure everyone there is an engineer/mechanic. Lol. I swear some of the most unique engineering comes from the deserts of india. They are extremely hard workers.
@@IowaKeith I agree. Watching workers repair and recycle used parts in Pakistan is educational. In a post-apocalyptic world, with scarce resources, society could not function without skilled tradesmen like this to repair it and keep it going. We're too used to buying new items. There, they have to repair them and build them from scratch with scrap material. It's inspiring.
@@thinkforyourself2109 in a post apocolyptic world, these guys will live comfortably.
It always amazes me how these guys could literally build, repair anything. Keep up the good work 👍. Stay safe
Thanks 👍
That's not difficult, hence the yanks are not the brightetst candels in the universe.
that is poorly patched and not repaired
@@andreabc1469 I was hoping they'd at least use new oil at the end, but I'm guessing there's no oil samples drawn and taken to a lab for analysis on these units. I never knew chipmonks could rewire transformers until watching this.
@@swsuwave That is not all used oil! They use pig fat for some of it to reduce expenses. This is why when their utility company transformers fail, they smell like bacon.

Some good examples how transformer oil shouldn't be treated:
Heating to boiling temperature. Messing around with it on bare soil.
Maybe they should try unwinding the copper wire off the transport reel instead of just ripping it off sideways and reeling it up as twisted as it gets.
How do they make sure that the oil level reaches at least the cooling pipes' top ends?
A transformer with one winding improvised this way will surely put out a very well balanced three phase voltage. 🤔
Always a sad jobsworth eh!
PCBs?
@@joefrisco Yepp, this was the first i menteions about, if i had seen this. Very unhealty and the guy's will get cancer later.
@@DD4DA luckily my transformer has mineral oil
Even if the voltages are all wonky and out of balance all the time there they're still going to be the first ones back up after a Carrington event EMP Fry's everything worldwide because they don't need electricity to get started and then not afraid of whatever they might be doing wrong, they just get it done.
I know that this has been said But I don't think it can be said enough. These fellas are going to die from cancer and other very painful illnesses because not only are they handling this oil, but they are heating it and breathing in the fumes. PCBs are very dangerous and should only be handled in a safe manner with proper safety equipment. I am all for doing what is needed to earn money but there is a line and handling and allowing this oil to absorb into your skin and breathing the fumes is that line. My God y'all what the hell are you thinking? These fellas won't be in anymore videos in at the most 15 years because they won't be either alive or will be too sick to work. The owner of this place should be held responsible for these fellas' deaths but this is Pakistan so that will not be the case. These men will die poor and in pain. It has to be said.
Don’t forget in the USA and other western countries, the majority of the people are eating unhealthy foods even though the mainstream media says it won’t harm you.
@@vernoncooke7348 That's a good point. Not one of these guys in the video is overweight, in contrast to the West. We suffer and die of diseases of excess while workers there surely must suffer from poor health & safety standards. They are going through their industrial revolution in Pakistan. I like watching them work; they're very good at what they do, despite lack of OSHA standards.
Nah, they'll just have a few cross eyed kids is all.
@@vernoncooke7348bro what are you even yapping about , its like a guy playing with some uranium and when you ask him about it he say ehh who cares people smoke cigs and drink everyday 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 , bro this is literally a cancer giving and a chemical that has been stopped from production for being harmful to humans

Excellent job.
Thank you very much!
No soldered, crimped or bolted internal electrical connections on those wires. Only held together and wrapped with bare wire then covered up with insulating fiber tape. I sure hope it lasts when placed under full load.
I bet that's the original failure point
These don't last long, but hey, in a country like that, nothing is built to last because everything thing, and everyone is looking for a shortcut to make money.@@chrisrageNJ

that high voltage primary was wound in sections for a reason ;)
probably on this part of earth there is no voltage surge/spikes 🤣
Just like Thomas Edison did it in 1889. Man, those guys need a CNC transformer winding machine. A paved floor wouldn't hurt either.
One major design flaw, there is no condenser and breather system to cool the oil. Due to extensively high load current, heating of transformer may lead to explosion.
Hello. Thank you for the method of rebuilding 20 kW post transformers. But it should be kept in mind that transformer oil is very are very dangerous

@@soilengreen7820 Ecology, clean working spaces without dirt and dust, protecting the health of employees is obviously the last thing in these videos. Thick walls without surface treatment, safety with rotating parts and electrical wiring that is dangerous even in itself, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Half of the world tries to reduce waste, protect the environment, and the other behaves like this..

As someone who does transformer maintenance...
This is just horrifying.
How on earth do you rewind by using your bare hands, with a high humidity environment?
Not to mention you just burned the dielectric oil and poured it back in?!
If you take a full critical sampling kit on that transformer, Jesus christ, the results from before are going to be wayyyyy more favourable than the results afterwards.
Insulation tests for windings, core, etc... All of those are going to have miserable readings...
We wear nitrile gloves that go up to our shoulders, wear facemasks and bandanas to prevent sweat from going inside the transformer and even make sure to have a plastic curtain covering top and sides so no dust can contaminate the oil.... And this whole goddamn procedure is just so we can replace the bushing's rubber cartridges...
The oil is drained into sealed buckets that have been cleaned with ispropanol and NEVER had any other substance other than dielectric oil in them. And after usage, we wash them with a small amount of dielectric oil, and dry them with industrial paper towels, then just some isproponanol rinses and it's good to go again after it's dry and sealed.
This transformer will be just completely useless after half a year of operation... This is not good work, this is just robbery for the client.
You misunderstand the purpose of the video. This company clearly. intends to make money from you-tube hits. Particularly the very popular ones showing power system components blowing up.
This one WILL blow up shortly after livening up and you can be sure the circus will be fully covered by cameras.
I just picked up electronics as a hobby and can't believe my eyes. Thanks for affirming my concerns about this operation. Yikes!!
Pcb oil might not be affected by dust as much
Complete agreement. They can "do everything" but the quality of the product and its lifespan is so bad.. I also miss the point of burning the oil. The video looks good for those who don't know how it works, those who do will have nightmares.
How high is the possibility they're still using PCB oil?

I'd bet that's exactly what's in them. You can still find them in the United States too

Please can you explain why you dip the new rewind coil into the hot transformer oil , and for how many minutes
It was kept in oil for about two hours. And this is so that the oil flows well in the coil and starts its work.
Thank you sir for visiting my channel ❤
In this body Pakistan 20k and in India 150kv
Stop hiring Chipmunks!
I believe the boiling is intended to drive out moisture.
This would be to eliminate any air pockets around the coil wires. Cooling of the transformer is not as efficient if the oil can't contact all of the windings. Over here transformers a filled while in a vacuum chamber to eliminate tis problem.
Good video
O BHI thafseel winding data BHI thafseel sey bathao
I am curious why the taps on the other two coils are not going to the off-load tap changer which is not fitted on this TX. The rewound coil has no taps on it. Ideally the connections should be brazed or soldered instead of twisted with some binder wire. TX oils shouldn't be boiled. Still great that you fix the TX instead of the usual throwaway society we live in.
😇🥰
Hopefully that's not PCB oil in the transformer

I wonder if they are still using Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) as cooling oil and dielectric in their transformers. They even used the oil to boost the bonfire under the steel drum. More about this dangerous substance: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polychlorinated_biphenyl

No longer tapable to different voltage after rewind? Why was that?
Voltage ?.
@@howiej4084 yes, many transformers even small ones like this, have different taps for voltage adjustment of a few volts on the secondary side.
Because they don't care and it's cheaper. It's a third world country and there are no standards. As long as the light bulbs work, voltage is okay in their mind.
If I have an issue with my transformer, it's obvious that the first thing I will do is to search the immense knowledge from these TH-cam videos. 🤣Specially these that start with "how to rebuild" and were made in Pakistan.
