Another great video! Thanks. I just discovered your channel after falling upon your excellent MRI presentation from 7 years past. After reading your comments about young Giuliana's success at the science fair, I was wondering as to how she might have progressed. I see she is doing very well. Congrats!
Very good presentation of magnetism at the atomic level. How about a video explaining what the magnetic field actually is made of and how it affects atoms at a distance?
Well, I do have a question :). Where could one obtain the cylinders of the different metals used here? It would be a great experiment for homeschooling. Only thing I'm affraid would be the price for the Gadolinium :))
I bought the metallic element cylinders from Metallium, inc. Their web site is www.elementsales.com and these are the prices currently listed: Gadolinium: $58.00 Zinc: $21.00 Copper: $19.00 Iron: $36.00 The neodymium cylinder magnet (1/2 x 2") was purchased from K&J Magnetics- www.kjmagnetics.com and currently lists at $11.70. Good luck!
@@DoctorKlioze Wow! Thank you so much for your reply :). The Gadolinium is the expensive one, but I think I will try it nonetheless. This was a huge help, thank you once again!
Thanks for that pretty clear explanation. I came to this as I was researching how metal detector coils work and why different metals give different responses especially how iron is easily discriminated against. th-cam.com/video/EcuTsifSgBs/w-d-xo.html breaks it down really well.
Most importantive video on magnatism I've seen so far
Fantastic quality of both presentation and explanation. Thank you very much for the effort put in this video. I can't believe this has so few views.
May God bless you for this amazing video. Probably one of the best on this topic.

What material does it consist of, those electrons of yours? It's not like you're just dreaming?
Not convinced..shell configurations make no sense to me. With stable and unstable elements, it's a mathematical probabilistic model at best
