Perfect concept, doing small-town videos like this with locals. The only issue here that can cause problems is sound issues impacted by bad weather or wind. Similar to some other videos. Other than that, nice work Lamont. Perhaps "locals" could help you out with interesting graves to visit and a story to go with that :-D
I'm 65. Grew up in Wellsville and back in the 70's/80's was a great place to live. When the steel industry left the upper Ohio Valley it all started to go downhill.
I worked for AT&T for 44 yrs and as a contractor for another 3 …i had the opportunity to get to know so many small towns in Ohio .. most of them being these eastern towns.. all have the same look.. only a couple have found knew forms of business. Some of them had very famous and proud history’s .. sad very sad.
26 from Cleveland, i just want to go a little deeper here, when steel left Ohio, money and happiness left it. Ohio was booming in the 19th century with the transcontinental train and steel, but once the 20th century came, it took an entire states livelihood. Teenagers are committing suicide in droves because they dont feel listened to and respected by their parents and family, they feel pushed to the side and their problems.are invalidated, as the decades go on and those miserable generations trying to bring down ours are dead, thats when things are going to go up again. That is cold, but its the truth, kids are jumping in front of trains because they dont feel respected or listened to

There's an old bank in Crandall Tx, still standing, the was robbed by Bonnie and Clyde. My friend owns it now & uses it as a salon. It's amazing how small it is.

I was raised in Wellsville. It really has changed from when I grew up there in the 60s. It is nice to see scenes from town in this video. It is sad how Wellsville has become a victim of the decline of the Rust Belt. I had many good memories growing up here.

My hometown, born there in 1954, all my family lived there. My Uncle and Aunt lived on Riverside and used to watch the Delta Queen River boat come up the river, big event back then. Before the collapse of the potteries and steel mills it was a thriving town. Went back in 2020 and sad to see it's current state. All my family are gone now and are buried at Springfield cemetery. It was a great place back then. Unfortunately all of the Midwest has small towns in decay. Great memories which I will always cherish!!

Our little town of Johnstown Pa was once a major steel, coal, and many rich moguls. We were a miniature Pittsburgh. Having gone through 3 major floods with loss of life, and property we always survived. After the 1977 flood though the town could no longer sustain the loss of jobs and closing of the steel mills. So we went through some horrible years much like this town. We finally are reinventing our town and it’s not showing much expansion in population but many who grew up and moved away after HS are coming back home.
So so very sorry for the loss of your good friend Mothman. I pray that one day justice will be served!!!! Thank you for showing Lamont and his viewers all these locations. So sad about the motorcyclists also. I hope one day justice will be served for their families also. There is always hope.
Please do a John Hunt Morgan video! I live along the Kentucky/ Indiana border on the Ohio river where Morgan’s Raiders crossed, took over our town, with our home front militia fought them as well as they could. One of the only civil war battles fought on northern soil. He did this to many places.

I HAVE had a situation where a relative shot himself in our backyard, less than 60' away.... but my sister and I didn't hear a thing. Others in the neighborhood heard it, but we didn't hear A THING. Haunted us both for decades now.
If you ever wanna do a part 2 there is a lot of stuff that mothman left out. He was very knowledgeable about Wellsville my whole family is from Wellsville. I currently live in Wellsville there are probably 10 to 15 more crazy stories a few more murders probably 10 more different cool locations worth talking about I'm not saying this wasn't a great video because it was for sure I was excited to see a video like this of my hometown. But it just kept thinking of other things that wasn't mentioned or places that wasn't shown like yellow creek the Pitts it's like the 3rd biggest off road atv and dirt bike places in the whole U.S.A plus a story of a murder that takes place there and that pretty boy Floyd was held in Wellsville jail before escaping which led to his death of being shot in the next town in east Liverpool or there was also a house on Riverside the same street where that house had that little girls grave in the basement there was actually a house in the 1980s where the front yard started to like fall in and they found secret passages and rooms which housed slaves before they was sent further north just a lot more stuff I can think of that would have been interesting enough to mention and be shown in this video but all in all a great watch

I heard of wellsville through offroading. I guess theres a big offroad area just outside of town. Sounds like a neat place to grow up
