i honestly don’t get the problems with bryan’s vocals. maybe it’s because i grew up on hardcore more than metal, but to my ears his vocals are way more relatable than the deep growling a lot of bands do while still being super brutal and unique

    • @itsinugami

I dont understand the problems either. And i grew up on metal and never dipped into hardcore really. But i loved bryan's vocals the second i heard it. It stands out, its raw emotion. They reinforce the lyrics very well. I dont think a lot of their lyrics would hold the same weight if put into another genre

  • @alexkenley1

The vocals are what really grabbed me with KL. It's just pure raw emotion and aggression. I don't understand how someone can listen to hardcore music and dislike Knocked Loose. I think I found a metalcore channel reviewing KL 😆

Such a unique and amazing voice. Idk why people seem to have a problem, he’s a hardcore vocalist. It’s perfect.

So there Metalcore, but more towards Hardcore. I don't get the hate on the vocals he sounds angry which fits the style. He has a hardcore/punk style of vocals which I love instead of the generic high/low screams

Agreed, the high low vocal deal is played out. People who can do it are really talented. Yet it reminds me of the trap high hat fill almost every aspiring rap artist has been using for the past 15 years in a row (in almost every song they make)

I know this is a old video but kept seeing people say they love his lows. Thats not him lol.

I could be wrong but I believe the lows on their songs are usually the guitarist

The voice grew on me. just like la dispute. In fact, this ep is what La Dispute's Wildlife was to me - reimagined as an extreme, heavy metal ep. I have an ongoing challenge to friends, show me something darker and more serious, heavy, raw, brutal, etc than this. thats not even taking into account the artistry of the music combined with the phenomenal music video.
This possibly still lands at number one in the list of extremely heavy albums/eps for me.

Yeah it’s a different sub genre, hardcore normally has vocals like that but y’all are saying he’s not hitting certain things he’s just doin it the way he does

the lead guitarist hits the lows, the lead vocalist is more of a hardcore punk esthetic. its deathcore punk for lack of a better genre name.

Not going to lie, this is my second reaction video of yours (thanks to KL) because of YOUR voice.
    Hardcore, Rachelle, Birb, Nik..
I don't know, maybe I get how you feel about the vocals 😉

This band is from my area. I really liked this EP. You want something to compare it to though? Check out an older band called Disembodied out of Minnesota, USA. They aren’t together any more but I think you’ll make the musical connection pretty easily.

If you like KL, listen to Vein FM. Pretty similar vocal technique. Music is dope tho more into hardcore side. Doomtech is a great song to start with

I cannot listen to this band while driving, as it causes road rage, and speeding tickets.
Also, I cannot go to a show in which this band is an opener either, or I'll be thrown out and/or arrested for fighting....they are that sickly insane.
