    Great review, Tom! I picked one up from my local Costco in Minnesota today. I told the checkout lady, “Tom from Alley Picked said these are great.” I only got a blank stare back. 😂 Seriously, Costco should give you some money for referral fees... I can’t wait to use this. 👍🏼

      That's hillarious! I gotta get me some merch. That way you can point to your shirt and tell the checker that "This guy" said these are great! Thanks for the feedback. Tom

    I bought and Costco, used the light, and went back and bought 2 more as gifts. It is the best I have ever found for trouble/work/power outage lighting. Three independent lights as well. The sturdy stand / construction and the useability of this item make it the winner.

    I'm a carpenter. At first I absolutely loved these lights. I own six of them. But I'm very disappointed in their longevity. I haven't owned them more than a year and every single one of the lights is having issues with the smaller side lights. Most of them don't work at all anymore and the ones that do only work when they want to. Also very dissatisfied with the battery life. At first they lasted a good 6 hours, but now less than a year later they last an hour tops. And that's just with the center light... It's to the point that I just leave the chargers plugged into the lights at all times because constantly having to plug them in. It's pretty irritating having to run an extension cord all the time for a cordless work lamp...
    I'm going to be returning all six of these lights to Costco. I know they changed their electronic return policy, but I hope they work with me. I spent over $200 on them I would expect them to last longer. The side lights stopped working after just a couple months of use. And yes, they are stored inside I don't leave them in my work trailer in the winter because I was worried that this exact issue would happen

    We loved it when we used it but had ours sitting unused for about a year, and it now won't recharge. Any suggestions?

    • @AlleyPicked
      @AlleyPicked  ปีที่แล้ว

      None of the 3 lights recharge? The 2 end lights can be charged separately.

    What is the light temperature (Kelvin) it doesn't say on the box for some reason?

    Tom I bought an ONN tripod and it had the standard male thread which isn’t long enough to fit in the frame base. Did you have a longer stud or did you use an adapter? Thanks.

    • @AlleyPicked
      @AlleyPicked  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. I remember that I had the same issue. I just verified. My tripod base works but only uses a couple of threads that engage. I just realized why. The threads on the light base are metric. I grabbed a metric screw and it threaded all the way in. I then grabbed 1/4x20 which are on the standard tripod and only the first couple of threads engage and then it stops. I should have checked this more thoroughly in my review.
      To properly fix this, you will need to replace your tripod screw with the appropriate length metric screw. Yuck! I looked at the manual and it says, "standard base which works with standard camera tripods". Yea, maybe, but not here in the USA. Thanks for making me dig into this. I don't know the exact metric size, I just grabbed one from my container of metric screws and it fit perfectly. Tom

    If only the side lights had threaded tripod mount holes.
    Well, what you do, is take a 1.5" piece of flat iron stock, drill and thread a hole in it, mount the bar on a tripod, then mount side light to tripod with it's magnetic base.
    A long piece of flat stock will allow you to mount both lights.

    Maybe you can relate or help but mine for some reason has been turning on by itself. Not a single idea why it would do that.

    • @AlleyPicked

      You either have a ghost in your house or the unit has a short in it. Could be a defective switch. If you just purchased it, I would take it back. That is not good because it may be dead when you go to use it. I do like the ghost theory though.

    DOWNSOUND - If you're like me I stored the charger somewhere and now I cannot find it! I need to create a container (cloth sack, plastic ziplock baggy? ) something so I can keep it attached to the light. With so many chargers for camera/phone/tv/cellphone/etc keeping track of them all is frustrating. That aside I like the light. I have backup candels/oil lamps/flashlights but this is great for quick light when power goes off.

    I bought one but haven’t used it yet. A few drawbacks:
    Can’t use sidelights while charging
    No compartment to store charger & main USB cable.

      True, but for $30 (after 10 off at Costco) It's still my favorite LED light. I use it often.

    hi, do you or does anyone experience the lights constantly automatically dim? I bought 2 sets and each light (6 in total) will dim automatically. I dislike the automatic dimming.

    • @AlleyPicked
      @AlleyPicked  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not noticed that. Mine seem to stay at the same brightness until they die out.

    • @bushpilot223
      @bushpilot223 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Mine started doing that after a couple months. The issue is the battery is weak. The light is supposed to automatically dim once the battery gets to a certain level. But I have found that these batteries are absolute garbage ... I have six of them and they all do what you are saying. The side lights have stopped working as well...

    • @andynguyen2906
      @andynguyen2906 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bushpilot223 I own 6 sets of this which total 18 lights and they all dim after 15 minutes to conserve battery supposedly and it sucks. This youtuber says it doesn't happen on his and I think he is BS.

    Kind of false advertising on the lumens it should say "2000 total lumens".

    Good review! Thank you. I'm a fool for good light. I'm not sure about the saying"men like darkness rather than light." That's not true with woodworkers.

    He should have tested how long the battery lasts. I have one and my experience says 2-hours max.

    • @bushpilot223
      @bushpilot223 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same. When I first bought them they lasted probably six hours. But it only took about 2-3 months of use and now I get like 1 hour battery life max. And all the side lights stopped working on all 6 of my lights.... I'm not happy. I keep all my lights inside my house too so temperature / cold wouldn't have caused this...

    • @Chosen0ne

    You neglected to note that the company does not offer a on-line pdf manual for this product. 2nd, the manual that comes with the product is terrible, small print. Why? not all Costco shoppers have 20/20 vision, some of us are sight impaired and using a on line manual is essential. I use a 36" monitor so see and read.
