    They did look uncomfortable.

As they should! We need to have a voice, and I think we showed up in force to let them know our displeasure. Let's hope they listen!

I’m so overwhelmed by all the changes. I’m registered for the town hall meeting.

The rapid-fire changes are not great. They might be good for Outschool business-wise but all our heads are spinning!

Yes to all of this! I teach all 1:1 and flex classes. My 1:1 took a hit with the new format and now I won't be able to have any income from self-paced classes because I refuse to give permission for my materials.
I don't get a ton of flex enrollments, but I have made $1900 from 1 class alone so it was worth it for me.
I'm very part time because I help care for my elderly dad (with dementia) 1-2 days a week and my elderly mother-in-law (85), 1-2 days a week.
I already have a few other sources of income because of my experience with VIPKid, but OS is my biggest source of income :/

I totally understand what you are saying here. Outschool is my primary source of income as well and now I am looking into going independent quicker than planned due to all the changes and the uncertainty that is bringing. Time to stop relying on these platforms just to make scheduling and payments easier.
I'm sorry this could potentially affect you so negatively. Let's hope there will be a way out!

@@MissesDee Unfortunately, I live in a very, very rural area, so it's not easy to get local students. Hopefully I can find another platform!

@@aprilmiddaugh8261 I'm planning to stay virtual. There is a new start up that is looking for great teachers. It's Coral Academy. Fill out this Google Form, and if you don't mind, put my name in the referral box. forms.gle/RrP15MTXzpanK7NP9.
I have done a few classes for them and it has gone very well. I just don't have a lot of time to give them.

    • @MissesDee

@@aprilmiddaugh8261 Possibly. You would have to discuss that with them. I wouldn't see why they would say no since they will make something off it... They don't currently take a % but asked me how much I wanted to be paid per class and gave me that.

I do not disagree! The percent they took was a factor in me signing up and not doing anything for a full year.

Ugh, it's like TH-cam premium, you upload a video and it basically goes into the void and getting few views and no monetization. That was what I liked about Outschool, no void.

    • @MissesDee

Well, now there is a void. Honestly, creating content with a subscription requirement on TH-cam might yield better results.

@@MissesDee Hi, thank you for responding 😊 the last part you wrote intrigued me but I need clarification. Not sure exactly what you mean, like create videos on TH-cam and then have them like private on a personal website for purchasing? Or something else?

@@candys-learntoreadfun Off the top of my head I would say Udemy is the closest thing, and you should definitely email them the feedback. I sent them an email that they should do it the Udemy way, Udemy allows teachers to opt in to their Udemy Business and if you want to make a free class for students to preview it has to be less than two hours. I am so sorry to hear that, but they know they have to make it mandatory or all of us would opt out, but they really should ask for feedback before they do such a large change.
