@@grammarofficerkrupke4398 As someone who has supervised security at VIP events, I can assure you that staff come from a variety of backgrounds & most have no attachment to the event they may be working. They may not know any of the players but they will occasionally get blaggers arrive claiming to be a player, press or family.

The guy was doing what he's paid to do which is stop everyone upon entry, I've done it myself whilst working at football events, i don't watch it and i managed to stop a player going into an area where everyone needed a pass go in. It happens
Tbf, he should know these players names and faces off by heart for this tournament, not just o sullivan but all 16 players. I get he had to stop him obviously but surely as security for such a bug televised event he would know all the players who were playing, it would be like the security for 10 Downing Street not recognising rishi sunak

Met most of all the dart players and all but 1 are as nice as it gets apart from Phil Taylor. I’m not sure why Eurosport chose to show this. Making the parking attendant uncomfortable and ROS arrogance shown here isn’t something Eurosport seemed to have separated from a video about a parking attendant not knowing snooker players. They should have cut sections out.

I'm not sure China is the best role model for security if I'm honest. They don't f about over there...If as you say, most security are foreigners, maybe it's because they're less likely to care about hurting people.

I think a combination of I don’t give a S..T and perhaps not thinking sometimes is Ronnie’s flawed character example… His Edge of everything documentary where he is In Llandudno on his mobile and someone must have asked him “ how is Llandudno “ ? to which he replies “ full of old people “ ??? Why would you say that ? Especially given a majority of his followers are “ old “ ( elderly) Ronnie as long as he plays well will always be the number 1 crowd puller inc myself but he quite often talks Crap to be Frank and other professionals will be the first to admit this inc John Higgins who publicly mentioned Ronnie for saying he would never advise any youngsters to go into snooker as a profession due to the lifestyle? Of course it’s his view and entitled to it but as John Higgins put it how many would love the lifestyle hence correcting the Rocket.
I've watched his documentary too.. on the flipside would you rather have a guy being himself or acting and saying what he's been told to say. I don't see anything wrong with saying a town is full of old people.. my cul-de-sac is and I love it here
