Just climbed Hooiberg this morning, 11-04-22 with my wife who is 74 years old. It is much steeper and took longer than we thought but never gave up with no wind that day and very hot temperatures and met many very nice people along the route. We have been planing that climb since 2005 and finally accomplished it......another off the bucket list....
Nice work Charles, glad to know you were able to get to the top and scratch one from the bucket list. Best times are either very early or after 5pm otherwise it can indeed get very very hot. It's one of my favorite spots on all of Aruba.

We always get a good view of the sunset while staying ate the Riu Palace but I always wanted to see the sunrise while visiting Aruba now I know where to go. Great video!!
Thanks :-) Yes, at the Hooiberg you would be more centrally located between the urban areas of say Oranjestad, Santa Cruz, Paradera, Balashi etc. Good luck!
I like when you talk. If you don't talk then please write in the description such as : what time did you start the hike? how long did it take you climbing the stairs? what time did you finish. Some great photos at the end of videos would be good to. How is parking? was it crowded... These are things I would like to know as a visitor. Thanks!

Thanks Jean, it's basically a 560 (ish) step stairway up with some break/stop areas. Well worth the view!

Zeker weten met die bakkie koffie :-) echt heel anders dan gewoon thuis he?! Super views! Het ligt rechts langs de weg naar Piedra Plat (niet zo ver).

Hello Don, I don’t recall the exact time but around 6:30am ish. The hike up takes around 15-30 minutes depending on your physical condition.
