There accuracy is sufficient for most non quantitive measurements as the non professional usually incorrectly assesses the objects emissivity and therefore the radiance of Infrared. A 'Black body' radiator would be 1, generally oil based products are 0.95. Table available on the net. Avoid measurements from Stainless steel, Nickel, glass, brass and cooper without applying a paint or tape to the surface to bring the emissivity to a close to 1 as possible. As a retired Themographer with a $35k IR camera under my desk I can say that this £240 camera offers some good features not seen on cameras under £500. The temperature overlay onto the visual image is a surprising feature as it the distance adjustment however no tripod bushing is a big mistake. For a budget camera without visual optics equal if not better to those toys you attached to phones, I would suggest you could do worse than the £119 GOYOJO GW192 from Aliexpress. FLIR cameras equal to the one featured would be around £800 and probably made by the same company but don't quote me.. hope this was helpful

Looks like a nice unit. Id like to see a comparo with a known brand to test accuracy.
Great video David👍👍

@Woffy. Very, very nice and detailed reply!!!
Thank you, and God bless:)
I guess they expected the end user to have three hands, given the lack of the tripod mount... :P
Thank you . Is there a comparison between this and a phone that has a thermal camera? what do you prefer ?
Well $300 isn't terrible compared to a lot of them I have seen. Thanks for the run down!
30 minutes and a 3D printer will have you a holder. or a piece of pipe with a bolt in the bottom.
Now you've got me thinking where I put the 1/4 20 nuts and bolts I bought.
