Jaxon is such a lovely young man....kudos to his mum.... you know how a guy will treat you, by how he talks to the women in their lives and how he treats them...the fact he has no worries about saying how much he loves his mum online, for the world to hear...sweet guy..
Jaxon is right, parents should push their kids to try their best at WHAT THEY ENJOY, moms (and dads!) pressuring their kids to be the best at everything because they want their kids to "do better than them" is selfish and toxic parenting. Not their fault you don't feel accomplished. Be supportive, be there, love them, help them, that's all you need to do.
It's selfish and toxic parenting if they're doing it for their own reasons, but not if they're doing it for their child. Part of being a parent is making your children do their best even at things they don't enjoy but are important.

Yeah she was great. Treated Will like one of her own without being overbearing about it. Like when Wills mom would show up there wasn’t much of a power struggle. She just wanted to help

My favorite mom ever is Tanya Baxter from That’s So Raven. She was playful and caring but also strict when she needed to be, and had such a good balance between both. AND she was funny and drop-dead gorgeous

I recall the Brady Bunch one. Sesame Street had a similar one with Big Bird. They both inadvertently poured the entire box of detergent (back in the pre-liquid detergent days) into the washer, which is why the suds went haywire. The SS version, the suds got into Oscar's can and made him panic because he was getting clean. lol
My mother taught me SO much! How to take photographs, develop them, and so much about photography. She also taught me how to keep my emotions in check during stressful situations. My mom was a freelance photographer and journalist, so I got an education in those fields before I was 10. I do miss her greatly, but her influence lives on in the girls and boys we've raised.

My mom (Sept. 20, 1947-Jan. 14, 2013) probably was a cross between Carol Brady and Claire Huxtable. She was a working mom who was also there to support me and my brother.

My mom HATES it when people make a big fuss over her. She doesn't like her birthday or mother's day. She doesn't like getting presents. Her idea of a perfect mother's day is all of us getting along, and spending time together. And us doing chores without her asking.

I remember my 11th grade year, I had Honors Environmental Science and I studied my bum off for this ONE test, i was just not getting the material at all -and between Track Meets, Honors society, FFA, Technical Honors Society, Play Practice, Dance and Choir at Church, and Perfect Attendance - i was swamped! I ended up making a 93!! I was like yes an A omg!!! I ran in the house to show my mom and she said, "OH. WHERE ARE THE OTHER 7 POINTS?"

I think my favorite tv moms has to be Aunt Viv from 90s Fresh Prince of Bel Air. She was very supportive, but she also disciplined her kids. Roseanne because she was so down to Earth and she reminded me of my Mom. Lorelei Gilmore was also a favorite because she was free thinking.
Why does it seem like there are not a lot of tv moms? I can remember more dads than moms for some reason.

I feel like Roseanne Connor should've been on this list too. I know Rosanne herself is a controversial person, but she was a very relatable tv mom. For me Dan Connor reminds me of my dad, my mom is more soft spoken than Roseanne. What I liked about Roseanne is it seemed more like a real family from the midwest. One line I remember is when someone came over to their house and Roseanne said sorry for the mess but we live here. Like yes show a family that isn't perfect and admits they don't know what they are doing half the time. They also weren't afraid to tackle heavy subject matter.

My favorite tv moms were Mortician Addams and Mrs Munster. In a way I think my mom parented with their best features. They supported being unique, true to who you are (although obviously IRL not supporting crazy behavior lol), and that you don’t settle - only love someone who loves you for who you truly are.

Between malcom and the middle and Cosby show. My Mom was a single mom so she had to control me and my brothers by herself while managing her business. She really was in control of everthing and we really respected her for it....... both in the “fearful” respect and “ admiration” respect sense.
sounds like Lorelai Gilmore in "Gilmore Girls" she was a single Mom and had her own business, she ran an Inn with her best friend as her chef. (played by Melissa McCarthy, FYI) :)

A little surprised that the big time rush mom figure was not listed. I can relate to her character because it has the right amount of the mom that holds her ground but ultimately wants the best for her kids and their friends. This character aka Jennifer Knight was played by Challen Cates who did an amazing job overall in terms of the role. Also has a large sense of protectiveness for Kendall and Katie due to being their go to parental figure. Overall to me should be in the best tv mom ever category. Also a reason why I agree with Jaxon about pushing your kids to pursue their dreams but at least still being somewhat grounded to reality. In other words hope for the best for your kids and help insure that they do not make as many of the mistakes you did in your youth.

I loved Claire Huxtable and the way she stared Theo down while he's trying to justify having the dirty magazine...oh man I just kept thinking "dude she's not buying it just stop." She was always one of my favorite TV moms, she loved her kids but put her foot down when they stepped out of line.
As for my mom I'd say she's a cross between Roseanne Barr (OG Roseanne show not The Connors) and the mom from Malcolm in the Middle.

@React Could you please make sure that the volume is similar throughout the speakers?
Some are so loud and others are very quiet. And it's not the way they talk but the volume itsself. Adapting my own volume won't help because the speakers change so often. Also the person asking the questions behind the camera is a lot louder than the speakers or the people in the movies shown.
So I'd be really glad if you considered that for the next episodes.
