  • This is a drive through a piece of Russia without visa or border controls. It's a road in southeast Estonia where two sections cross into Russian teritory. There are no side roads. You may not stop nor get out of the car.
The recording was made on 13 August 2024 coming from Saatse in the south and driving to Värska in the north. Recorded from the Tesla dashcam.
00:25 The yellow sign warning people you are entering the Russian Federation, plus the no-stopping and no-pedestrian signs. On the right-hand side you can see the border markers: black-white is Estonia, red-green is Russia.
01:20 On the left side is the Estonian marker, on the right side the Russian marker. This is where we leave Russia. The Russian border then runs parallel to the road for about a few hundred meters.
01:32 On the right hand side you see the last Russian marker and some barbed wire. We then enter the Estonian village of Lutepää where we skip a few kilometers.
01:55 The second piece of road that crosses the Russian Federation. While the first stretch is about 800 meters through Russia, this stretch is only 30 meters long. We then enter the Estonian village Verhulitsa.
02:13 I turned around and stopped just before this is forbidden to get a closer view of the scene. This is coming from the north before the 30m stretch.
I didn't enter again, so I turned on the street to go away from the border.
