For sure!!! Exhaust smoke on TDI's are bad remaps!! I mean, until your turbo is at full spool, it can throw some, but afterwards. it's no necessary the smoke to get power! you only need to adjust you fuel to your turbo! that's all!

Install a big cooler and the when you earn enough turbo pressure just release the gas and the turbo will fuck the air to the cooler. and when it fucks the air into the cooler you get this sound

Remove muffler, dpf, cat aside from that make sure you have TDI and it should work, but don't forget that as much as we love those diesel sounds it's not legal or recommended to do those changes. Without the cat, you are basically non-euro and polluting much more than usual, if you want to focus on sound, change exhaust on a petrol car and add a blow off valve and it should sound good without polluting that much.
Hi there I changed the turbo in my VW Jetta 2007. Diesel. Automatic 1.9. I thought that will clear the black, grey and white smoke, and losing power. But it didnt, and i was very embarrassed to drive it, i hated my life So the mechanic disconnected the anti shutter valve, it became brand new, never lost power even for a twinkle of an eye. Its giving service light, but thats no prob. U will love ur car. Wish u all the best
Add turbo for example GTB2060vklr, mount turbo back, modified out-of-town pistons, upgrade your filter, upgrade the differential, upgrade the gearbox, hard clutch, upgrade the brakes and so on. You need a whole project if you want to do it and you need to add every single detail if you want properly made 300++ hp TDI car.

Maybe its because it has the other engine with the different mapping. There are two tipes.. the 5gear and 6 gear. The 6gear has the "Wuuuww".
