- My Monstera obliqua was growing only a long runner so I experimented in getting it to grow leaves again - and it worked great!

I think they would LOVE it!! I've seen all the similar monstera and Raphidophora etc on the trees in the jungle there. You would have a huge plant so quickly!
Did you buy your Obliqua more recently? They used to be impossible to get! Also impressed with your propagation experiment 💚
No I've had it for a long time - a friend gave me that one node runner I think back in summer 2022

Mine has 7 leaves now & no runners yet thankfully. It’s going in a moss pole soon.

Thank you! I'm wearing What It Takes (Magnetic) by Cadillacquer here, it's so pretty! With turquoise and pink. The cuticles might look neat but I often bite the side bits off so they aren't actually neat haha 🤭 or do you mean the nail polish looking neat? I use a very handy tool called nail pen corrector or something, it's perfect for fixing mistakes around the cuticles. That made it a lot more fun for me actually

Thank you, Roos. Obliqua is a mystery to me, let alone getting one as full as yours. Are you thinking simply cutting the runner made your plant generate all those offshoots? In other words, you made no other changes? I'd probably toss the clipping cuz, as you say, who needs multiple obliquas! Thanks much.
I was wondering the exact same thing. I have a Monstera ‘Peru’ that keeps growing runners as well.
I planted a few close together I think, I'm a bit confused why it grew so much from the original spot actually. I repotted it as it didn't have much roots at the time and then put it back in the same spot. I will still try to grow the nodes as some don't do much and others grow well. But yeah haha plenty of obliqua in the world now
