The thing about the burning of the Tree Teldrassil is very strategic by Blizzard to get the players upset, because it contains both the starting zone where the Night Elves all start the game, start training, move out to the nearby village to continue training, and move on to the capital city of the Night Elves to connect to the wider world. All up in the same huge tree.

The lore of Azshara is extensive ^^. Azshara was the queen of the High Born (a faction of the Night Elf) and were full on on arcane magic etc. In a way Azshara betrayed all the race in Azeroth. You see here in the cinematic that she said "That was not the deal i made". She talked about the deal that she made with Sargeras to help summon the burning legion by using the well of eternity (fucking huge source of power), to purge Azeroth of the impure races, corruption etc etc (so yeah she betrayed all the other races). Except that, after using the well of eternity to summon the burning legion, a huge battle happened and the well sundered Azeroth, and causing huge rise of water etc etc (the huge ass wave in the cinematic happened because of the sundering). So in fact the deal she made destroyed her empire.
After that the big ass octopus that u see is an Old God by the name of N'zoth, she make a deal with him to help him free him (and for her to survive), and of couse cursing her people at the same time to become nagas ! (Great af ! >

@@lovropeter9988 I agree with you but I definitely recommend splitting them up and finding a friend to help organize them. However, if you are limited on time I recommend focusing on Legion and Battle for Azeroth in-game cinematics since they give the most information about the events leading up to The War Within. Xal'atath (the blue lady with tattoos on her face who is the big bad in TWW) is introduced in Legion as a weapon (aka Knaifu) and gets the form you see her using during the end of BFA (thanks to the tentacle god). Legion is also the expansion where the sword appears in that location.

I'd go for the Burdens of Shaohao which is a compact story, released with Mists of Pandaria(the 4th expansion of WoW), similar in artstyle to the Warbringers you watched in this video. It has 6 parts, each between 3 and 7 minutes long.
But yeah, if you want to go for the whole journey and understand the references, why the ppl in the videos do and say what they do (and say), then I would look for a compilation of in-game cinematics. That way you would be able to truly appreciate some of the moments which are already cool and heartwarming enough on their own(like the Death of Ysera, A Found Memento or Rejection of the Gift, just to mention some of my favourites ^^), but put into context they can pull heavily on your heartstrings. :P

Dragons were created as stewards of the world essentially, each aspect has its own thing going on, The large red one at the end was alexstrasza, who is essentially the aspect of life
The other dragonflights are bronze with nozdormu as the aspect of time, these ones watch over the timelines, blue and I don't actually know the current aspect of magic, might be kalecgos, malygos was the original but went a bit mad, you had to kill him, this flight watches over magic.
The green which is led by alexstrasza's sister ysera who resides/resided in an ethereal realm called the emerald dream for the most part, these dragons watch over nature, and finally the black dragonflight which was led by neltharion, or deathwing, which was the dragon in the cataclysm trailer, these guys were watching over the earth, but got corrupted by old gods and were bad for a while.
Theres some other stuff like chromatic dragons, which were a wierd experiment, some temporal dragon things which were anti bronze dragons led by future nordormu.

Jaina has NOT been in any of the big fancy cinematics.
Yes,that was the Lich King in the Sylvanas trailer. The “you can kill us” is what I had mentioned to you in the other video! What makes it crazier is that burning down the tree wasn’t even her ACTUAL goal. She just wanted to conquer the area near it.
She wasn’t trying to protect her people, she was trying to protect her EMPIRE. Her rule as Queen. She didn’t give a damn about her actual people. She was indeed evil

i wouldnt agree entirely with how you describe azshara, she definitly didnt care for her people in the traditional sense she cared more for them as objects or more accurately as a part of her empire, an empire without citizens isnt an empire its just buildings

the Azshara cinematic takes place 10 000 years prior to the current time in the game, during an event called the Sundering.
Azshara stroke a deal with a faction called the Burning Legion, who seeked the power of the Well of eternity, a powerfull font of magic. She and her people, the Highborn, were willing to give the Well to the Legion in exchange of more power.
But many elves and other races on Azeroth were against it (given thhat the Legion is a faction of demons) and after a gruelling war, the Legion was defeated and the Well was destroyed, causing a worldwide cataclysm, the Sundering. It splits the main continent in two, and drowned a big portion of the Highborn territory.
To ensure her and her people's survival (mostly hers), she stroke another deal with an ancient and dark entity call N'Zoth, an Old God, trapped in the depths of the world for thousands of years. He saved their lives by transforming them in another race called the Naga and in exchange they have to help him to be free again.
Very incomplete summary but it would take hours to get into every details ^^

If you head into World of Warcraft... highly recommend you pick an (RP) server... role playing, so there is no Earth chat about polotics and things that spoil your emmersion. Also turn of player names for NPC and things to make the world more interesting as you'll have to mouse over people to see what/who there are. Also role play servers are so fun as people do stay and chat with you, but keep things in the world of azeroth.

Sylvanas was a blood elf ( Horde) and the inhabitants of the world tree were night elves (alliance), so in this case she did not betrray her owm people. But she did later, when she tried ti kill everyone including the Horde. Queen Aszara is a night elv and really evil. She sympathized wizth the Burning Legion and the Old Gods. Both want to kill everyone on Azeroth. So Sylvanas and Aszara are from different origin, but are equally evil.

@@Michael-rp4fd Actually High Elves Quel'dorei are not Night Elves (Kaldorei). They are descended from them but they were banned 7300 years before the opening of the Dark Portal. Since they were no longer blessed by the Tree they were no longer immortal and their addiction to arcane magic and the Sunwell changed them. The Blood Elves are High Elves but they did not exist when Sylvanas died for the first time. Saying that High Elves are Night Elves would be like saying that Night Elves are Dark Trolls. They are descended from Dark Trolls but the Well of Eternity changed them into Night Elves. But I understand what you mean. In fact if you play a Nightborne male character one his jokes is "Back in my day there was only one kind of Elf, One!"

@@Trygvar13 High Elves are the Nobility of the Night Elves. They were banned beause they used magic, correct. But half of them returned to the Night Elves. The other half became Blood Elves.. So the remaining High Elves are Night Elves.

The Tree is the capital city of the night elves... so she didn't just destroy the tree, but the home place of the elves. A place all Elven characters for the Alliance used to quest in and revist for quests and crafting. So a huge loss to the game.

@Extinct_4 People who watch reactions are looking for that "First time experience" in the reactor. We're less worried about you missing small details you can get later, more than talking over something trying to introduce itself to you. You're like that person who's been talking or texting during a movie, and then the final battle is here and you're like "Who's that?" as they're dying on screen lol
Just started to watch a few days ago, but basically the biggest feedback is the talking. (I know hard to balance as a reactor) I would suggest subtitles, and pausing if you have bigger questions. (sometimes, this gets on peoples nerves too)
The gameplay is great though! Love watching live vods.
