    🇲🇽Are you visiting Mexico City? Looking for things to do in CDMX? CHAPULTEPEC Park is a massive city park located to the west of Mexico City - bigger than Central Park in New York with up to 250,000 visitors per day. Chapultepec Park is just another perfect example of how varied Mexico City is!
    You can even visit Castillo de Chapultepec, yes, a castle! Chapultepec Park also has a zoo and SO many museums including the Museum of Anthropology (this will be in another video).
    Enjoy!

    Hi everyone! I really appreciate everyone's comments on my Mexico videos but please could I ask that if you feel the need to nitpick minor details rather than saying anything positive, please read the other comments first - I am aware the flag I mentioned in this video is NOT the one in the Zocalo, many people have corrected me on this and I don't have time to respond to people who tell me the same information many people have already contributed with!
    Thanks! 😉

    Wow!! After watching 5 videos of Mexico city, you make change my perception of Mexico, impressive but still very worried abt the language barrier and also food as you know I am a Muslim :-)

      Hey Huda! I will look into if there's much of a halal food presence here, I haven't seen anywhere yet though. Plus I don't know anything about how the meat is produced. In terms of street food there are plenty of options in terms of meats like chicken, although pork and different types of sausages are popular. I'll get back to you! How's the planning going for your trips? Istanbul right?

      There aren't many Muslims in Mexico City so there aren't many options specifically tailored to Muslims but it's probably not hard to avoid haram food if you go the vegan route which is not devoid of the taste or culture you'd expect from Mexico City, there's about 50 vegan restaurants in the city and there's even vegan versions of the traditional taco stands you find in any street corner.

      The truth about México City, like many cities in México. Is that, just like in most American cities, it's safe as long as you stay out of bad areas. For some reason are media has difficulty speaking both positively, and truthfully about México. It always gives one side of the reality. Of a given location. People would be amazed at how prosperous and beautiful México City can be. And safe too.

    Lovely park!! why is there no castellations on the castle? Why is Pres. Trump so against Mexico? There is certainly more culture and history there than the old US.

      the chapultepec castle is more alike to an european palace than to the clasical medieval castle. some of the reasons, I think, that here in mexico we call the chapultepec castle, a castle, it's because of the history of the building.
      the castle was built first as a summer house of a viceroy in the times of the spanish colony, then it was abandoned for some time until it was designated as a military school, and it was the site of an important battle in the war between mexico and the united states, then it became residence of emperor maximilian who redesigned the castle and built the gardens and the externals arches, it became the presidencial residence until 1944 when it became a museum.
      another reason, in my opinion is because here in mexico we call some of the buildings where the gobernment is situated, a palace, (national palace, gobernment palace, legislative palace, etc). but a think the name chapultepec palace is also correct, the name chapultepec castle stuck.
      also the castle is at the top of a hill so it's a strategic and easily defensible position, in a military viewpoint
      greetings from mexico :v

      Bluesky Mexico is definitely a country with a huge potential but unfortunately, many factors have affected the country’s development. I do not agree with your statement saying it has not progressed like other latinoamerican countries because Mexico it’s actually better positioned than any other country in latin america probably with the exception of Brazil which I believe could be ranked as #1.

    CHAPULTEPEC PARK IS HERE!
    What do you think of Chapultepec Park? I never expected it to be bigger than Central Park (the one everyone talks about), but it's time people talked about what's on offer in Mexico City! I'm going back to museums soon!
¡Volveré a museos pronto!
    🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽❤
    Just an addition! I know the flag i mentioned is not the one in the Zocalo! Lol

    Chapultepec Castle seems more like a palace than a castle. The Alcazar de Segovia in Spain was more of a castle.

    lol, Mexico city is a Frankestein City, so many different parts patch together, lol, interesting that some americans I see in here havent got sick, and you did, it seems Europe is cleaner than America, lol

    • @davidostrowski679
      @davidostrowski679  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      spookyryu Haha definate Frankenstein place! I was in Japan before Mexico for 3 months which is unbelievably clean, this may have something to do with it.
      I have problems with digestion of many foods since an appendectomy 4 years ago which is the reason I don't do many food videos!

    • @spookyryu
      @spookyryu 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see, my advice to you, drink peñafiel water, it will help you with the digestion, about a Frankenstein city, is because, if you see in a picture the complete city, you will see it was never built in order, specially coz nobdoy knew it will grow so big, so at the beggining mexico city has eaten a lot of lil towns, for example, xochimilco, coyoacan, azcapotzalco, tlahuac, those were lil towns before spaniards, so they built they relaxation houses in there, or some farms, but the city kept growing so there were a lot houses in there already so every government has to adpat the city on those pre- existing towns, lol, so you can see streets that doesnt have sense, just to avoid affect those houses, also every government created his part of the town, the latest one being Santa Fe, completly different order of things, lol so thats why you see satellite pictures of the city and it seems the city is patched, lol

      Ztez Maxim,just because Emperor Maximilian took Mexico's throne by force, does not make his reign illegitimate.
      I mean Hilary Clinton won the popular vote last year, and that doesn't make her the legitimate POTUS
