Really enjoyed the JC night on Sunday. John came across very well and provided a lot of great insight of the process of players recruitment as well as his own fine career. Loved watching him in the Hoops. Well done to you and the your ACSOM team, Paul. Hail Hail 🍀
John Collins was ahead of his time , incredible player with unbelievable levels of fitness and dedication. My OG hero from when I first really got into football around 92 or 93
John Collins was a great player and a very good assistant manager, the problem at the time was that he was a lot fitter than a lot of the players at the time
When we lost the cup final to Raith Rovers during Johnny Collins time at Celtic, i didn't sleep that night. My fiancee a few miserable days & nights later asked if i was ok ? I replied nope, they are going to sell Johnny Collins 😂🤣 We split up soon after 😁
Would have loved to have been at that last night paul john, was at the paddy mc court one down at ceasers in Grangemouth just wandering when your coming back to there 👍
Is now the time for Celtic to give thoughts on seeking a replacement for CCV? Not just after his OG v Brugge but also injury record over the last couple of seasons? is it too much to risk to play Scales and Trusty as first choice or would the experience of CCV guiding either of them through games too much to give up at this stage?
Morning ACSOM Team :) catching up retrospectively. JC was a great player but left a bad taste with the way he manufactured his departure. At the time we felt he had betrayed Tommy Burns!
John Collins was easily one of Celtic’s best ever players. My only disappointment was Paul McStay was past his peak by the time John Collins arrived at Celtic.
I can only remember us scoring 9 once since the stadium was re built in 19-95 can't remember how many times 8 but it can't be many Al guess two. We have probably went in at half time four or five up at half time over ten times. I don't think if we score early in second half it makes the second half like the first half. There is a psychological element as to why teams don't continue to punish teams more. It's the same with rangers when they were strong. I don't think they have scored more than 7 at ibrox since 19-95 i know they have never had 9
A can think off two Aberdeen under lennon a think it was and Dundee utd more recently a think Jim goodman was there manager not 100% on the second one .😂
It's actually scandalous that the pair of you would stick with Engels again over Bernardo Engels already got to experience tough grounds at Kilmarnock and Hearts in recent weeks, he wilted, it's no coincidence that our first half performances against Kilmarnock, Hearts and Club Brugge were poor with Engels stinking the place out in midfield only for the second half to improve with the introduction of Bernardo, Bernardo has more than earned his start Valle, Bernardo and McCowan should all stay in the starting 11, it's now up to Taylor, Engels and Hatate to win those places back Schmeichael Johnston CCV Trusty Valle McGregor Bernardo McCowan Kuhn Kyogo Maeda Extremely harsh on Scales and Idah though who can count themselves very unfortunate not to maintain their places in the starting 11
@ACelticStateOfMind It's not what you predict, it's what you yourself would select if you were gaffer, if you would select Engels over Bernardo on current form, then I've no words
@@CatsRUs1888i know engles hasnt been playing the best, but them CL games bernardo came on how much assists did he get? Because if my memory serves me correct engles has 3-4. I agree that he should have to earn his sport back and i am in no way saying hes the finished article, but if he was the way you want him to be celtic could never have afforded him He really hasn't been THAT bad. Your speaking about him like he needs threw to the curb yet your harping on for someone in bernardo that people were saying the exact same thing about last year. How is he going to develop if hes just kept on the bench? How is the board going to react if an £11 million player isnt getting chances. Then when they decide they are not spending that amount anymore, the same fans like u who are slating engles will be on here saying the board need to spend more money Just be happy and support ALL players? What were u doing at 21? How would u handle people constantly putting you down? We are supposed to support all our players, not use others performance to drag others down
@@CatsRUs1888it’s all about opinions my friend….the positive is that we have good strong options in central midfield! Engels has a bit to prove yet I agree (although we’ve repeatedly alluded to the need to give him time before judging too harshly) while McCowan & Bernardo are certainly making the most of their opportunities! It’s a good problem for the manager to have! 👍🏻
@KevingrahamCCC aye think he used to frequent on the Dunblane no1 as he worked at the queen Victoria school good to see acsoms saint and greavsie on the day lol only thing missing is the kitchen table where the humbling beginnings of acsom began 😉
Collins, anchored by the immense midfield discipline of McStay and Grant, had all the freedom in the world to go to showcase his world class ability at Celtic and achieve honours befitting of his vastly cultured talent. Sadly, Collins played largely for himself, as opposed to the team - as several of his former teammates have eluded too. One trophy in 6 years is testament to that, and a massive underachievement for a player of said stature. Watching back old full length footage, especially of season ‘95-96, which was easily the best dynamic, free-flowing, expansive Football we ever played under TB and the best opportunity we have to knock Der Hunnery off their perch. One defeat all campaign but it was the 11 draws that cost us. The amount of times Collins blatantly refused to retain possession for the team, play the right pass, or slip in a teammate during 3 or 4v2 overloads on the counter, in most of those games we were in complete control of, was absolutely astonishing! Pure egomaniacal, ball-hog at its finest, which went a massive way in determining the outcome of their 8-in-a-row.

Rodger’s rested all those players for a reason…..they’ll all come back in on Wednesday 🇮🇪🍀

Bernardo every day of the week for me.. He's never put a foot wrong since he was signed.

Paul john what about the keeper getting a game second half

Schmeichael
Johnston CCV Trusty Valle
McGregor Bernardo McCowan
Kuhn Kyogo Maeda
Extremely harsh on Scales and Idah though who can count themselves very unfortunate not to maintain their places in the starting 11
I haven’t given my predicted team for the Aberdeen game yet, so the scandal can be reserved for Kevin 🤣
You have a pretty low scandal threshold. Take care mate.

Arsenal were 5-2 up ay half time final score 5-2
Engels is weakening the team right know! He’s not been playing well for weeks! Mccowan and Bernardo deserve a start 🍀👍
I wouldn’t go that far
Hey Kev speaking to Dave stacey yesterday says he knows u he's off to Zagreb with paul mcstay no1
He's a good lad. Hope he enjoys. The famous PMS. St Ninians Number 1.

Sorry Kev but miss Asim on a Monday.
Terrifying Sliding doors moment Keane accepts Celtic job and Ronny becomes 2nd in charge
No worries at all, so do I miss him on a Monday! Yeah, that was the plan, but Keane saw through it and sacked the idea.
Are there any Celtic Pubs in Berwick upon Tweed am going there at weekend and want to watch the League Cup final 😁
