Thank you so much for watching! Hope you enjoyed it! We definitely need to organise some kindof TH-cam sports day...even though I wouldn't win at anything. Can Smash Bros be a sport?
Also hey people that explore deep in the description! I'm working on a way to get my merch online. Could take some time though. Looking at Late September. :O

Primary school sports day: Sprinting, obstacle courses and egg & spoon races
Secondary school sports day: The actual Olympics
We only did running
Edit
At secondary
Ikr
we did obstacle course in secondary school aswell lmao
Then why did we have to do 2 mile sprint in primary. 😂
The problem is our school is actually linked to the Olympic council that arranges the actual Olympics so we literally had the Olympics in secondary. It was hell😭
The bleep test is the devil.
sounds like our Pacer is the same as your Bleep.
I got to TEN for the most.......im so unfit i cant Dx
I have seen people collapse over the bleep test. It is hell
India Curtis-Roberts Literally only the braggers would win in mine...it was so unfair too, as the SAME person would win every year...
...And he was MUCH shorter than everyone else
Penguin Princess Ikr it felt like my brain was going to burst out of my head.....yet i had only made it to 10. (im seriously unfit like SERIOUSLY!)
British bulldog: the vicious kids version of American football on concrete were there are no rules 😂
I can never name anything 😳 sounds awful
This was the most dangerous and fun game I ever played we had it banned like 12 times in my primary school we kept re-naming it
@@anyahs9496 omg same😂😂😂😂😂
Wow why did I not know other primary schools did this too
At my school we played on grass, but it was class vs class or year vs year e.g. 30 kids vs 30 kids or 60 8-9 year old vs 60 10-11 year olds.
I'm American but it was called Field Day. Ours is more like the U.K tbh... And it was at the end of the school year (in May). We had T-Shirts, games, face painting, and you could buy food!
Food that's amazing
we had the same thing in my school, called field day as well. Wish it carried on to high school though
Zane Stoor I wish it would have carried onto middle school and high school
@@crazyclips8280 would've been a good time mate
Yes! This is what we had kinda. Except you couldn’t buy food, every team had a color, each grade has their field day separated from every other grades. All of this was only during elementary. Middle school we never did anything and high school we had a tournament and raised money for charities and it was just clicks of people on their own teams🤷🏻♀️.
Evan's reaction of just pure "wtf is going on" as the girls and every single British person just freak out at the nostalgia of sport day 😂
Ikr
Definitely the look in his face just reads wtf is happening
As a British 21 year old girl I hated sports day lol 😆
We called it Field Day
But then in middle and high school it was Founders day
Millie Bobby Brown is God ours was called the faction carnival and swimming carnival
Millie Bobby Brown is God same
Millie Bobby Brown is God Millie bobby brown is god.
Me too!!!!!
If you weren't taking part in a sport on sports day, you sat outside in the boiling hot and dehydrated for 3hours
I'm British btw
Yep I remember sitting in the shade the entire time.
Yeah but my school is literally on the edge of a cliff since it's on an island so theres always a shit ton of breeze
We brought pop up beach tents to sit in and our sports day was on the outside field of the leisure centre next to a park down my road. So I could call my mum and she would bring and all my friends three big boxes of fabs that we shared in our friendship groups and made other people jealous
It was freezing outside
They was always an ice cream at the end though
Evan seems so left out when Dodie and Connie start talking about their memories. 😂😂😂🤣🤣😂
damn those glasses are pretty spec-tacualar
pham
Smh
My friend said that on Dodie's video and Dodie responded and I'm so jelly
Bu dum chu
I wont cry... I'll CRAFT!
"have you ever had a bad spots day" yes every time
Greg Moss our team McEwen always *ALWAYS* looses like we're the joke of the school it's always Adamson and Poilding who won and sometimes Mcloucghlin
The only answer is yes. I'm a terrible runner and we only do running
Emily Devlin WHAT!! Since I was 5 it's been straight up tears and fights. And i live in England
same how did connie and dodie like sports day!!!
Christian Moss
I cried once during our sports day. :/
7:13 why did Evan turn British when he said 'what' 😂😂
I’ve just discovered his channel and binged a ton of his videos, his accent is very british lol.
@@Backflipgal12 Funnily enough, I think his accent isn't incredibly British (I am British)
@@Backflipgal12 same 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Backflipgal12 are you kidding, he’s one of the most American fellas I’ve ever heard
@@Backflipgal12 think you need to watch more channels with Brits. Some of his words are stereotypes of the British accent but mostly he's pure American 🇺🇸
I'm from America and my "sports day" (we called it field day) was more like Connie's and Dodie's than Evan's.
Same.
Same
Ok long story short people treat secondary school sports day as basically the track and field events at the bloody Olympics
Masley I aim to serve, mate
In my school, secondary school sports day, you can't even be invited to watch unless you had certain times and records in P.E
We have to travel 2 hours to even get to our sports day venue. Cheers secondary school, cheers.
I am from America and we had a literal day where we did that called the 5th grade Olympics
Except for me who used to skip it and fake a note from my mum...
Since Ireland is Ireland we used potatoes for the egg and spoon race, but it was always better because we would get a spoon and potato that fit perfectly onto each other with ease
Yes, potato and spoon race all the way!
Omg yes spud and spoon
sassy squirrel we did that and I'm in Scotland! I was so bad a it
My primary school was next to a golf course so we used golf balls
YASSS did anyone else get those cool pops and everyone wanted coke flavour
I had houses in my high school, Welsh words for the elements:
Daear (green) -Earth
Tân (red) -fire
Dŵr (blue)-Water
Aer (yellow)-Air
And we got points from Sports day and Eisteddfodd, where the winning house would be announced
Abigail W hey fellow army
In comp We had
Tydfil (purple)
Sanan (blue)
Mabon (yellow)
Cadog (green I think )
Primary it was
Rhymni (white)
Caeach (red)
Allta (green)
Oh, my primary school had Tawe, Llwchwr and Llyr.
My secondary school had Branwen, Caradog, Dylan, Nedd and another I cant remember the name.
We just had the house colours in welsh......
@@thelord5895 where in Wales,?
For mine we do 100, 200, 300, 400, 800, 1500m we also have high jump long jump and hurdles.
Queen Macy Xx javelin?
1500m wasnt the worst we had cross country in 23 degree c that is what hell is. Some one had to go to the hospital because they collapses.
Sports day was a terrifying, traumatic experience that I loathed
Going outside and playing is so much better than Sports Day
Going outside and playing is so much better than Sports Day
And I was good at running so I had to do the sprint.
I know how you feel
Owlabout Everything anxiety levels were off the scale
I was so confused when you called it flag day I was like what fun thing did I miss!? We called it field day!
It's legit the same thing. Different states call it definitely but mostly call it field day.
We called it the Track Meet. Sometimes Track day.
+Melissa Lewis I believe we called it track day as well in middle school. At the end we always had a tug of war with other classes. So fun.
same I lived in North Carolina and Virginia and we called it field day
Yeah we called it field day at my old schools. Coming up with team names was fun
"Cutforth?! LUKE WAS A HOUSE?!" 😂😂😂
Lauren Lees 🌑😂😂😂
In my area of America, we call it Field Day. In ours, our homerooms got split in two, so you were just going against your homeroom. We did the usual games like tug o‘ war, space walk races, kick ball, wall ball, wheel barrel relay, and many more. We usually ended the day by heading back up to our classes and watching a movie. A lot of people got checked out after, so there were usually 5-15 people after.
sports day in the uk was like the olympics to students
Will Charlton true
Will Charlton omg it actually is
Will Charlton yep the most competitive day ever 😂
Will Charlton YES
We even had Chariots of Fire playing at my primary school as we walked onto the field and everyone would slow-mo walk. I think my school was more chill than most on sports day but that's coming from a Nightingale (the house that always won on sports day). I hated most of it apart from the hurdles (which were fun), the standing long jump (which I was marginally better at than most) and the sack race (which I was bloody fantastic at! I always won.)
I HATE sports day. Mostly because
1. My team always loses,
2. I always come last,
3. I hate going outside and,
4. I'm lazy.
LittleGinny same
It's always my least favourite part of the school year.
LittleGinny same my team was ALWAYS last but we were the most positive
ME TOO!!!
I hate it, I don't turn up. If I need to I just hang out with my friends. I don't participate like the lazy piece of crud that I am.
is nobody going to comment on the fact that Connie is sm like Zoella 😂
Literally what I was thinking
except hotter
Before the introduction i realy thought it was her for a minute haha
In my old high school they tried to force participation in sports day saying every student needs to sign up for at least one thing... Nah mate stopped falling for that after year 7 🤔
Before sports day we would have an assembly where we sang
"HE'S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD, IN HIS HANDS, HE'S GOT THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD"
*Etc.*
ADAM CHRISTIE we had that every Friday in primary school lmao (I'm Scottish)
oml same but we had to sing every assembly
ADAM CHRISTIE haha sammmme
doodlenoodle omg yes
When we sang this in my primary, in like year 1 to year 4 you'd be singing at the top of your lungs. And when you got to year 5+ you'd just mumble or mouth it... But I was the only one who belt it out, doing all the actions.
Does anyone remember the song
“ONE MORE STEP ALONG THE WORLD I GO, ONE MORE STEP ALONG THE WORLD I GO. AND ITS FROM THE OLD I TRAVEL TO THE NEW KEEP ME TRAVELING ALONG WITH UUUUUUUUU” lol
Tiegylou 10 WE SANG THAG IN PRIMARY
Yes yes yes yes
Oh no now it's stuck in my head again
Yeeeessssss
Tiegylou 10 UGH OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I ESCAPED THAT SONG WHEN I LEFT PRIMARY
we sang it at least twice a week :(
Oof
This guy loves English women.
One year ago and no reply yet.
Congrats on the heart! :D
@@Kazavop especially cuz there’s over 200 likes, no replies of surprising
I think they were sharing a flat when this was filmed
In the area of the Midwest United States I’m from it is called Field Day.
I'm from the UK and my secondary school the more you went up in school years the more you disliked Sports days. The seniors would just laze around and not try very hard while the juniors were very competitive with each other. The seniors would hide from taking part in sports day and wish we just had a day of instead. It was interesting to see in our year who was lucky enough to get out of sports day or get out of choosing a team.
Once you get past year 8 no one gives a fuck anymore and it becomes a great day of hiding from teachers
+Evie I literally hated sports day from like year 3😂
I skived off school on sports day in year 9 so I didn't have to do it but it rained and was moved to another day. I still had to do it.
I'm going into year 9 tomorrow 😂 any tips.. other than not dying?
+Lucie Cavalli just have fun (as hard as that might seem) because everything just gets really stressful after because of GCSEs. Also (again as hard as this might seem) try not to laugh at the year 7s with their massive Blazers with the buttons done up because to them you're really scary.
I was so confused because my school called it field day and we didn't have teams or houses or points because parents didn't want the kids to feel bad if they lost, there were no sports just cheap little games like bean bag toss, also it ended after fifth grade.
me too, except i had one in seventh grade as well
Me too. We had a relay race where we had to put oversized suit jackets on :l
Yep, we had field day too. Every year of elementary school -1st through 4th. Sack races, softball, kickball, Rover, Red Rover as well as bean bag toss, jump rope competition and probably several other things I'm leaving out.
In Australia, we have house colours and even if you lose it hardly effects you. Idk maybe Americans underestimate the resilience of kids
SAME!!!!
Does anyone else in Britain go to their local leisure centre for sports day in secondary school and then sit on the stands and watch it like it is the olympics
We did that in high school except I skipped it every year after year 7 because I asked my mum not sign the permission form to say I could go
I am at a catholic school and our houses are:
Matthew: yellow
Mark: green
Luke: blue (the best house)
John: red
After the 4 gospels.
Frankie Newton I like how they’re always different names but the same colours
We had trees
Frankie Newton I went to a very Christian primary school and we had: Patrick, David, Luke and George
i go to a Jesuit secondary school in england and we have 8 houses
Campion (green)
Fisher (red)
Hurtardo (Orange)
Loyola (Dark blue)
More (Light blue)
Owen (dark green)
Southwell (yellow)
Xavier (Purple) My house
They're all named after saints
I love how all us Americans are like “wait... wait so it’s not just in Harry Potter???”
I want houses I thought that was just for private schools
@@pianofry1138 nope! Almost every school has them in England
@@pianofry1138 the only secondary schools with houses around here are boarding/public. idk any state funded schools with them
Yes, most of what you see/read about in Harry Potter is based on the British schools system and general British culture. E.g. The OWLs in HP are basically GCSEs, taken in the 5th and final year of secondary
"What does it teach you?" Evan-"... Violence is fun."
Oceanwaves252 we always played that game and our school also banned it but we all still played😂 we called it stop
5:30 child hood memories running back being left out 😂😂
for my school we had green and yellow etc houses and for lessons like maths they were together and red and blue were together so it was like y and x side. we also had house classes for things like music
Just as a note, a lot of the US call Flag Day field day!
So it's kinda similar!
Also ours had slight competitions with Red VS white vs Blue team.
YEAH COOL HOPE YOU LIKE THE VID
the vid was great very good much enjoy
Such a good video! Love this series❤️
i love this vid and also i think you should go with the first pair you wore
loved it :) I hadn't watched Connie very much before seeing your videos with her, but shes a sweetheart (ive watched dodie for like a year and a half) :)
Thank you so much for being so kind
still waiting for youtuber's sports day!!! hahaha
me to
If becoming a youtuber and befriending them is what it takes to do it, then I will! xD
I'm American (private scool) we had field day, and it was more similar to the British sports day than Evan's Flag day.
I'm Welsh and I've always HATED sports day like despise kinda hate.
I purposely made myself sick to miss it one year
Actually 2 years in a row
So you like the eisteddfod is the other option in wales
I always said to me, I'll miss one of these sport days. At the very last sports day (10 years ago) I didn't go. It was a triatlon in the forest . I walked there with the others but walked slower than them (they had to see me). When the last person walked past me, I turned back and went home. The next day, they asked me where I was. I told them I wasn't feeling well, I couldn't find a teacher to tell and went home. They believed me. Later, during a break, someone from another class asked, and he didn't believe me. Then someone from my class stepped in and said, I saw her she looked sick...
@@Leenapanther Wow. We do it in the nearest athletics centre so I wouldn't be able to sneak off like that, either I fake an injury so I don't actually have to do the sports or I find a way to stay at home.
@@tudno8502 No, I hate the Eisteddfod, it's worse... I've been maybe four times total and I wasn't even performing, it was horrible. No offence to those who perform, there's nothing wrong with the actual performances and stuff but it's so boring there.
I can relate. I’m too much of a goody-goody to fake sick, but I hate sports day because it’s just too sporty and serious now. At least in primary school we still had sports, but it was a bit of fun. Now our sports days are run too seriously :(
In secondary school I was yellow
In primary school I was red
In infant school I was

at my school it was called Field Day and there were about 20 activity we could do all around the school at any time and there was inflatables , the gym was opened for anyone to play in we could go on the playground if we wanted and you would compete with ur partner which you got to pick( not mandatory) we got ice cream sandwiches around June
PHAMILY
Sup pham
DONT CRY, CRAFT
Wiktoria cwiek mine was also called field day
We had the same exact thing
My secondary school is in the Harris Federation - British- so it's all Harris schools in a big stadium, Crystal Palace stadium, sending out their best athletic students who had been training for months. It's basically Olympics but your being forced to be there and sit for hours. In Yr 11 you can't go cos it's the year of GCSEs.
Carnations wait
Is it like all the Harris secondary schools like the Harris in St. John’s Wood?
Harris academy*
1:31 I JUST GASPED AND DROPPED MY PHONE IDK I'M OVERREACTING BUT *I WAS DICKENS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL EXCEPT WE WERE GREEN*
We called "sports day" field day
yeah, we called it field day, too. and we didn't wear red white and blue either
+Luiza Vazquez Yeah. I think maybe our classes got assigned colors, but that's it.
I had field day and our colors were based on grades (5th would be red, 4th would be purple, etc.)
Yea same
+Luiza Vazquez Same, and ours was very competitive
I can't get over the fact that Evan sounds like Melman from Madagascar.
Laurel I thought that I recognised the voice was similar
Omg I won't be able to unhear him as Melman now 😂
Litten is a Pokémon XD
My house is Hurst and it's Green too :)
We had houses when I was in First School & Secondary School, but not in Middle School (I live in an area where the three tier school system still exists)
First/Primary/Elementary School houses we had:
Blue
Red
Yellow (My House)
Secondary/High School houses we had:
Sherborne
Corfe
Lulworth (My House)
sports day is nothing but bad memories for me
also, sports day is soooo different in germany
Same
I have had one REALLY bad sports day
+Pia Katherina OMG ICH HASSE ES bei uns hat es geregnet und wir mussten trotzdem rennen. Ein Junge musste sich übergeben 😂😂😂
Ok first: LITERALLY every sports day I've fallen out with my friends so like second: I relate to your username
i live in Florida and im in 8th grade now but we only did sports day in elementary school (kindergarten-5th grade), and we called it field day. we basically just flopped around thru a field in the 98 degree heat and played tug of war and stuff
Natalie Kira Same! (Field day)
same for North Carolina. I remember the kids who would fake injuries to go inside. I was the one who sat in the bushes, alone, and cried bc I had no friends. Wait, nothing has changed in middle school except i sit underneath desks an cry...lmao
Natalie Kira me too that is exactly how my school is
YES
In elementary school I was super competitive on field day lol
Evan getting left out for 14 minutes and 27 seconds
We had , mark house - yellow , John house - red , Matthew house - blue , Luke house - green . Mathew were literally all the sporty people and always won!! The year sixes used to help the infants because it would normally be after SATS . Who else used to make daisy chains in the field or roll down the hills ? !
same exept matthew was yellow, mark was blue, luke was red, and john was green
The only thing competitive about sports day in secondary school was who can make the most realistic excuse to get out of sports day 😂😂
True 😂😂😂
We don't have to do sports day in secondary school XD
honestly
accurate
I had field day and we we're able to do whatever and there was lots of games. Lots of getting soaked and a bouncy house.
Me to
At my field day we had stations and we weren't allowed to leave our group
Sounds fun. My field day was a mandatory event where students chose 4 track and field events and then practiced them in gym class the month before. The school made a huge deal about it and it was super competitive.
SpecialA
That was the same with my primary school, we had to stay with our classes but when I was in high school, we went around in year levels and it was split into gender too so like year 12 girls for example was one group and so forth!
We had forms not houses in secondary. But it was more like form vs form and also year group vs year group.
In my primary school ,we had 4 house teams. Red, yellow ,blue and green. The Red and Blue were like the really competitive teams , the yellows were sort of competition and the greens were like the hufflepuffs (I was in Green💚) as they were really soft and never won. Whichever team one the sports day cup would have their team colour engraved into this trophie with all the other previous winners.
Ok I kinda ship Dodie and Connie oops
The Psychopathic Peach they kissed at one point
+What am I Doing with my life omg what when
TheFurCoatThatJiminWoreOnStage on snapchat (they were drunk)
dodie cutforth ah ok
#donnie
In America we had the fitness tests which were awful
Omg the bleep test (UK) is awful
Elsa Kollcinaku the pacer test nearly wanted me to murder my gym teacher I'm from America btw
I hated the fitness gram pacer test!(us)
Presidential fitness awards
In primary we had house colours also but there were places for example Colwick (Blue), Ruddington (Purple), Sherwood (Green) and Wollaton (Red)
When i was in primary school the 200 metre sprint was happening and one girl fell over and broke her arm and screamed bloody murder... It was traumatic 😂😂
3:23 evan is like wtf is going on hahahaha
Evan's look was 'cause of Dodie and Connie's synchronised "I mean". Makes me chuckle when I hear it.
Yup
Australian 'sport's day' or what we call 'The Athletics carnival' sounds pretty much exactly the same. We had houses and it was a little bit like a mini olympics with all the track and field events, we also had a swimming carnival at the beginning of the school year which is the same kind of deal i.e. 50m, 100m, relay etc...
I confirm this.
Yep same
Aussie m8
Exactly ew I hate the swimming carnival
THE BEEP TEST!!!!! ew gross...never again!
In my school when we got to Year 10 we didn’t wear a PE Kit because it wasn’t compulsory. It was only compulsory to wear PE kit from Year 7 to Year 9. In Year 11 we didn’t attend sports day because we already left a month before sports day
We had
Boscobel - blue
Whitick- green
Chillington - yellow
Mosely - red
Boscobel was the best
Ridgeway! 💚🤘
3:23 WTF! hahaha!
"i mean" - same time, same tone!
How in sync!
lol dodie and Evan looked at her like whatt xDD
What a great way to do an ad!
Yeah, his British olympics video was a good one too.
I know!
We had houses-they were named after gems:
Garnet-red
Citroen-yellow
Emerald-green
Sapphire-blue
Ridgeway! 💚🤘
Omg. I watched Connie on legit repeat for months but I haven't seen her for ages! Yey
I was the one kid that didn't even come to school on sports day cause I am so bad at sports and then when I got a BFF she came over to my house cause we were so bad at sports
Grapefruit Gaming The only reason I went to mine is cause we get subway after. I didn't even participate in my last one. We don't have medals either, just ribbons.
Grapefruit Gaming I wish I could do that
I also go to a catholic school so all the houses are named after saints.
I'm thinking...a TH-camr sports day which is similar to the old Disney Channel Olympic Games?! @TH-cam pls fund this thanks
YESSSSSSS
this is such a good idea!!!!!
THAT IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA I'M SCREMAING
I mean I was thinking more towards the hunger games but... Yanno

Aussie here. Never had a sports day in high school (or I played sick to get out of it and have just blocked it from my memory) but it was an annual thing in primary school that absolutely traumatised me until the last couple of years when Mum would finally let me call in sick that day. I had undiagnosed Autism and it brought with it a variety of other undiagnosed issues like extremely poor speed and co-ordination, sensory issues, etc. While mentally, I was assessed to be within the top 5% of my age group, physical skills wise, I was within the bottom 5%. The sports day in grade 4 or 5 (I don't remember which year it was), the school decided that I needed a boost in my confidence so they insisted I race with the preschoolers, who they were sure I would be able to beat. In front of a huge crowd of all the teachers and staff, fellow students, their families, etc. I was halfway down the 100m track by the time the last preschooler crossed the finish line. Everyone laughed. I wanted to stop but they insisted I at least finish. I was slow and people were still laughing at me so they made me get off the track (so the next race could start), walk alongside the track and collect my participation ribbon at the finish line. Even my day care mum (think babysitter but at her house rather than mine), who I was very close with and cared deeply for, couldn't help laughing. I cried so hard and I don't think I went to another sports day after that. So much for a confidence boost.
I love the chemistry you guys have, you look like really good friends. Need to get back together for another video
I remember when I was in Year 3 on sports day I fell over in my sack in the sack race and everyone laughed and I cried that night.
Kate Claessens that's so sad! I wasn't allowed to join in on sports day because I was so bad...
Ryden Was Real it was probably a blessing in disguise
We had to do the potato and spoon instead of the egg and spoon at our primary school as eggs were too 'messy' and we did it with massive ladle-like spoons. I would sit in the line to do that dreading my turn as I was god-awful at it and never failed to drop it less than 7 times. I'm afraid I can't relate to the sack race as I was brilliant at it but, I still feel you.
in my school (UK) unless you volunteer you don't have to participate in Sports Day, so if you don't take part you just sit and watch. I've watched it for the past 3 years cos i fail horribly at sports
That is unfairly! 😂 at my school every house and form gets to volunteer but in my form we have to do at least one event and I'm always stuck on 800m
Same
I am from the UK and I unfortunately had to take part
YESS same but we mainly sneak off to the shop while everyone watches and we just walk around the school and find an empty classroom and mess around in there lol
it was madness last sports day as quite a few mitched and went off and the teachers didnt notice
Primary School: Linton-Red
Secondary School: Mandela-Red
I love all of those glasses
I live in America and ours was called "field day" on the last day of school where we competed red team vs black team in slip n slide bowling, blindfold trust test, and tricycle riding and the black team ALWAYS won and I was on red :(
and im just here as a german, having no idea what sports day is. its not like Bundesjugendspiele right?
+Emmi colourful youths play
+Evan Edinger well you're almost correct, colorful is bunt but this is bund. Bundesjugendspiele are 'nationwide youth Games' idek
Yeah I think it is like that tbh
We had a preschool right next to our school so at sports day they would all do stuff at the very end and it was so cute! 😂
My friends and I legitimately asked one of the teacher's if we could stay in her room and she's actually considering it. This is my new favourite teacher.
How’s that go
I'm American, and my school has houses. We never talk about the houses, though. The houses are Highland, Regent, Ash, and Van Hise, and they're named after the streets that surround our school. Im in Highland.
lucy stripes it really depends on the school. my friend used to go to a school with houses, and she came to my school like “what is going ON???”
I have houses but only when your in middle school and we had house meetings once a month where we played games
Same.But I'm from Britain
Yh it’s the same here in Scotland but my house was tyrie
lucy stripes yeah most schools in England have houses too
is it me or is it that RED NEVER FRICKING WINS SPORTS DAY
but we win in like other competitions
Lonn Cal YES AT MY SCHOOL TOO AND BLUE OR YELLOW WINS
Lonn Cal I'm on purple and we're a joke to the school sports day we *NEVAR WIN*
Lonn Cal in my primary school, it was either red house or green house who won. I was yellow and we never won
At my school the red house has won sports day for the past five years haha
I was in 'Hawks' for my primary school house and 'Turing' during high-school until they changed the way our tutor groups were (used to be mixed years and changed to same year groups)
I did summer school in elementary and we had a field day type thing where we did relays. Then during regular school we had date to create where we did a bunch of crafts in one day but they were fun. Then there was dot day where we had to count all the dots around the school.
I'm Canadian. Our sports day was your last chance to get points for your house before the spirit cup was awarded (a little plaque with the year and house name would be attached to the base of the cup if you won). Our games though we're pretty different. Like throwing rubber chickens into croc pots and transferring water from one pale to the next using only a sponge.
Classic.
What? I also live in Canada, and we do nothing like this. You have houses? What province do you live in? I'm sorry, I'm so weird.
Up here in Minnesota, we had Field day in elementary school and you would go outside for basically extended recess but not the whole day and there were bounce houses and races and hurdles and the playground and stuff. At the end you got a snowcone, then you had to go back inside and do math or whatever. I moved in 6th grade to a new district(where 6th was still elementary school and not middle/jr high), and that district didn't do anything at all except for a big "walkathon" around the high schools track for no reason.
Also, the "cool boys" in elementary school would always play wall ball and they wouldn't ever let anyone else play because they thought they were hot shit.
i had field day too in elementary school
i live in New York
Ravon Pearce Nice !
Yes same in Tennessee!
We had house colours but names for example Rebecca Addlington (Blue), Kelly Holmes (Greens), Jessica Ennis (Yellow) and then Paula Radcliffe (Red)
Your house names were so cool! All of the houses in primary and secondary school for me were just saints 😂
I had beep tests too and those were terrifying!!! 0.0
I KNOW RIGHT
OMG THOSE WERE THE WORST
+Rowan Duck (JustDuck) wow, it's literally walking.
What did you guys get
Omg I hate bleep tests
In my school you don't have to participate in sports day, you can just sit in the crowd and watch. But it's the uk so always bloody raining :((
Indigo Hill
Yh but the people who don't take part have to go to all their lessons except for two 😂 ours our in a couple of weeks I'm taking part in two sports so no lessons for me lol
At my school in Kansas we had field day which was 1st-5th grade. It was just this day where everyone went outside for the last half of the day and you could meet up with your friends and go around and play all these games that were set up by parents like four square, three legged race, etc, and there were snow cones. We weren't usually allowed to run or anything at recess so it was great because we had this day where we could be more rambunctious without getting in trouble (except for one in like second grade when I got detention for going behind a tree to play hide and seek). And it happened around May 1, and school got out around May 20th
I can relate to pretty much everything they’re talking about (except the time because summer starts earlier in Scotland) but we didn’t have Sports Day in high school haha
British sports day is pretty much the same as Australian sports day (but our school calls it athletics day)
Edit: we also have a swimming day but we don’t have a pool so we walk to the local one (it takes like 10 minutes)
Hi im aussie did you do cross country run as well. We did.
I absolutely hated cross country
Yh we have a swimming day but you dont have to do it
IM SORRY BUT CONNIES FACE WHEN EVAN MENTIONED HORNETS 😂😂😂

we had field day all in elementary school (grades k-5) and each classroom was given a color you needed to wear. we did a lot of games with water, like a version of duck duck goose called drip drip splash, and kickball, tug of war, egg on spoon, can jam, and 3 leg races. You would rotate and compete against another color constantly. There was also a station where you could draw with chalk or skip rope to take a break 😂 that was MY STATION!
Ours was called field day. We had to wear our school colors and they made special t-shirts for that day. Two weeks before you would chose from a list of which events you wanted to be in. You got to choose 3 or 4. The whole town would be there. It was an all day event.
It's so weird you all had houses did y'all go to fuckin' hogwarts what is this shit I'm so jealous
I KNOOOOOW
British schools literally just seem like Harry Potter but without magic
Nah, I'm pretty sure all british schools have houses, but the house names are unique to each school. I went to a tiny primary school (about 200 pupils) and a tiny secondary school (about 700 pupils) and we had houses. They work pretty much the same way the houses work in Harry Potter, only replace the magic with winning competitions and doing good deeds
I feel left out because I'm British and in primary and secondary school we never had houses.
Sarah Green oh really? whereabouts are you from?
I like watching this trio, they work well together and are hilarious
I had to do an awkward 300 metre race and it was sooooo bad as I didn't know whether to sprint or pace but it turned out that you had to sprint the whole way....
I live in the US. We had Field Day. Ours had inflatables and games, but it wasn't very competitive. The only part of the day where we would compete is Tug of War and it was against homeroom classes. When we were in 6, 7, and 8th grade, it was against the grades.
