    We also eat Banga soup in Cameroon. My dad owns a Palm plantation, so he loves his made from scratch. Wooooorrrk! I know but still delicious. Love your recipe too. Great Job sis. Muaaaah!

    Banga soup and ofe akwu use the main byproduct palm Kanel. But the are completely different soup.

    This called palm nut soup in Ghana ; it is very soupy . The leaves or okra is optional and not popularly used here.. It also done from scratch here , except if you live abroad . You should check out the Ghana version , it’s yummy .

      u can use spinach but the taste wont be like scent leaves thouh u can look for the scent leaves in an african shop

      Thank you so much dear! Opeyi is a local seasoning used in making most Nigerian local soups. If you live in Nigeria, you can go to any local market and ask the market women...I am sure they will be able to direct you to where you can get some. #muchlove

      LMAO 😂 😂 no you can't use bitterleaf. It's will turn to alien soup. But you can eat it like that . It's even better to use spinach that's tasteless.
